A green monster for me – frozen spinach, banana, milk, berries and a ‘lil scoop of protein powder/oatmeal = YUM 🙂

  7. Linda on June 8, 2012 at 12:33 pm

Milk, chocolate Sun Warrior, frozen banana, flax seed are standard. After that it all depends what I have in the house. Greek yogurt if I have it, frozen cherries (not so much berries with a lot of seeds though, they make the smoothie ‘sharp’), peanut butter and an extra banana if that’s what I’m feeling. Oh! and spinach if I have it, but it usually gets bought just for smoothies and I promptly forget it’s in the fridge when it comes time to blend it up.

I’ve been making smoothies with frozen banana, almond milk, spinach, chia seeds, and frozen pineapple. The pineapple adds an amazing sweetness without being overwhelming. I usually throw it all in my magic bullet so I can easily take it with me and not have to clean the big blender.

My mother has been making me orange juice, banana and strawberry smoothies since I was little. It was my favorite after school snack growing up.
Now that I’m “all grown up” I’ve been making smoothies with almond milk, protein powder (I’m dying to try sunwarrior) bananas, whatever berries are in my fridge and a lil bit of peanut butter. yum

  48. Jenn on June 8, 2012 at 12:43 pm

Oh, this is a tough one! I usually just throw in some frozen banana with kale and whatever berries I have, but since we’ve had so many mangoes getting ripe lately, I’ve been having mango-spinach smoothies. 😀
