Welcome back, Pork

H guys πŸ™‚ How’s your April 1st going??

Last night, I just didn’t feel like Indian food even though I had all of the ingredients at home.

So I did what any hungry Valdizzy girl would do…

went to Smoking Pig and got some BBQ.

smoking pig

I got French fries, a pulled pork sandwich, and coleslaw.

Granted it wasn’t a typical Gina meal, and I haven’t had meat in almost two years and white bread since God-knows-when, but since I still eat fish and figured that pork is kind of like white meat and white bread isn’t so bad, I decided to roll with it.

It was so delicious!!!

It was kind of an indulgent meal, but no worries since I’m starting the Cookie Diet today.

Cookies ALL DAY? Every day?!? Dreams do come true, my friends.

Well I’m off to have a cookie and try a new workout I heard about. Apparently if you visualize yourself exercising, it has similar effects to actually exercising. So I’m off to the yoga room to think about vinyasa, running and lifting weights for an hour. Awesome.

Oh, and Happy April Fools πŸ˜‰

Be back with a *real* post this afternoon.

Gina

  36. Carrie on April 1, 2010 at 9:56 am

I hope that you actually did make Indian food last night because I want to see your recipe! I have never eaten Indian but I wouldn’t mind trying out something that you like. I totally fell for the pork–I was thinking, “her stomach is going to kill her!” But I figured it out when you said no exercise!! HAHA

  37. Amy on April 1, 2010 at 10:03 am

“White bread isn’t so bad” HA! I laughed out loud when I got to that point.

I thought “She’s really going for it this week!” This after my 12 year old just got me but putting a sticky note on the bottom of the mouse to make it not work. Takes a fool to really celebrate this holiday and I’m getting into the spirit I guess!

  45. Kelly on April 1, 2010 at 10:38 am

  46. Lindsay on April 1, 2010 at 10:46 am

OHHHHH Gina! You totally got me!!! Until I got to the cookie diet part…. I thought something is wrong here… then for a second I thought did someone hack into her blog? Then I remembered it’s April Fools Day!!! Ahhh I love it πŸ™‚

  47. Erica on April 1, 2010 at 10:49 am

I hardly eat meat, but I can’t resist an awesome pulled pork sandwich!!!

  48. Lindsey512 on April 1, 2010 at 10:52 am

    LOL.

To be fair I don’t think an occasional pulled pork and fries meal is *quite* on the same level of crazy as the cookie diet or the mental exercising.

  49. Kelli Zink on April 1, 2010 at 10:53 am

amazing! i almost fell off my chair reading this.

  50. Lauren @ BIOCHEMISTA on April 1, 2010 at 10:56 am

hahaha awesome. I believed the pulled pork part! I don’t know why I fell for that! LOL πŸ™‚
