Raw-mazing Giveaway
Hey everyone! Hope youโve had a great day so far <3 Thank you for all of your advice regarding whether I should give running another chance. Iโm still thinking it out and want to talk it over with the pilotโฆ so we shall see ๐
Soโฆ Bikram is HOT.
(Source)
Not so much Bikram himself โmy apologies if you find him seksi, heโs just not my type- but the yoga oven torture chamber. I LOVE the heat and it usually feels amazing, but this morning the air was thick, uncomfortably hot and took a lot of deep breathing to get through the 90 minutes. It was a very, very challenging class.
When it was over, I took my schweaty self to Whole Paycheck and sipped a carrot, apple, beet, ginger juice
and also got hot bar for breakfast.
Plantains, squash and zucchini, shrimp salad, Babylonian Treasure salad, and my beloved vegan miso slaw.
I came back to my auntโs casa, said my โsee ya laterโs and got on the road back to Valdizzy.
Iโm about to pick up Viesa from the kennel and head to the base gym, but before I goโฆ
a GIVEAWAY from Ani Phyo!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ani while I was at 105degrees– not only is she totally gorgeous, but sheโs also kind and personable.
This giveaway is extra exciting because Iโve been anxiously awaiting the release of this cookbook since last year.
Aniโs Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food

My favorite chef is a tie between my mom and my uncle. Even though there may be better cooks out there they taught me how to be creative in the kitchen. They also taught me how cooking can be enjoyable and therapeutic, as well as being more healthful than most restaurants. Thanks Mom and Uncle Craig!
Favorite chef at the moment would probably be Alissa Cohen after the most amazing couple days visiting the now-closed Grezzo’s when we were in Boston. I had a mock salmon steak made out of papaya that changed my life. The dehydrated papaya actually crystalized like a grilled steak. It was AMAZING! Other than that all her recipes are always flawless!
I absolutely, positively love Giada!!! She seems so happy and at peace. She seems to have found a happy balance of enjoying all foods in moderation and does not deprive herself. She is a true inspiration!
My favorite chef would have to be Paula Deen, she just seems so warmhearted! I would never eat any of her food though! ๐
My favorite chef is Kristen from Kristen’s Raw. She has a real handle on the blend between the raw/cooked all vegan world. ๐
My favorite chef is Giada! I have made a few of her recipes and they are healthy and have always been delicious.. and her recipes are so simple and easy to follow!
Pioneer Woman. Hands down.
My favorite chef is Giada De Laurentiis….I love taking her delicious meals and making them vegan!!
well, if we’re talking about widely-known chefs, i do love the food giada makes. but, if we’re talking about more local chefs, i’m a HUGE fan of both jody adams of rialto and ana sortun of oleana, two boston-area chefs (who were actually both on ‘top chef masters’ this season!).
Alton Brown!! He explains the science behind the meal, which I think is fantastic!
I just finished watching Julie and Julia, so I’m gonna go with Julia Child!
My Dad was but now that he passed away I would have to go with the moosehead woman–Mollie Katzen.
P.S. great juice choice today. MY FAVORITE!!!
my favorite chef is my mama… everything tastes better when she makes it for me ๐
I am also a Bobby fan…so easy to look at!!!
Hi Gina – I have been really into Heidi Swanson’s recipes. I am a vegetarian and it is often difficult to find healthy and interesting veg recipes. Heidi’s recipes are all unique and always created with natural, whole foods. Her 101 Cookbooks web site has great recipes (mostly vegetarian) all with wonderful stories associated with them. I would love to try some of the recipes in Ani’s cookbook because I am very interested in eating raw, but haven’t been able to make an investment in a dehydrator which many raw recipes require.
My favorite chef is Giada Di Laurentiis!
haha gotta love that guy’s ponytail :O)
My favorite chef to watch is def Giada de Laurentiis… her show is like food porn to me :O) I don’t cook like her but it all looks so yummy
My daughter is the best cook shes 7 she loves to makes fun things for her dad and I.
I have been wanting to buy a RAW cook book but have not yet done so, this is a great give away…
Im a big Jamie Oliver fan . . . its more what he’s trying to do than anything else that makes me love him so much.
Now, if Im being realistic, I’d say its a tie between my aunt and my Grandma. My Grandma is awesome for baked goods, and my aunt just has a gift. I always look forward to dinners at her house.
My favorite cook is by far my grandma…especially since she always had the motto of “eat dessert first.”
I heart Bobby Flay!
My favorite chef….wow I’m gonna have to say Nigella Lawson. She’s beautiful, makes incredible looking food, and has the most adorable children ever! Plus her voice just makes me want be her friend…and get invited to her dinner parties!! ๐
I’d say my favorite chef is Deb from the Smitten Kitchen. Her tastes are slightly different than mine but I know any recipe she posts is going to be high-quality and well tested. Plus, she takes gorgeous pictures and is lovely to read!
My dad is the best cook ever. He uses recipes only as a guide (as in he liberally adds in his own touches frequently). It is amazing to watch him work his magic in the kitchen!
Celine Steen does amazing stuff and is so down to earth on her website.
