It was an awesome weekend. Family Friday, a date night, wine for $0.49 at Walgreens (say whaaaat), super sweaty yoga class and a Father’s Day dinner at my dadoo’s house. My stepmom made Southern food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac n’ cheese, biscuits, salad, fruit, veggies, pie), so needless to say, my Alabama man was a fan. Livi spent some time Sunday morning coloring a card for her daddy, and we made him breakfast with crispy bacon (baked with brown sugar, salt, pepper and smoked paprika), pancakes and OJ. We spent lots of time in the pool, enjoying the weather (monsoons are on the way!) and enjoying time with each other. Not too shabby.

Our Monday was greeted with “service engine soon” lights in both of our cars -how does that even happen?!- so we’re off to deal with that 😉 Hope you had a lovely weekend!

    Love your pink skirt! Where’s it from?? Those margs looks fantastic…one thing I miss about the south is good Mexican food! Your veggie juice looks delish too! Am i just hungry or is anyone else swooning over your eats from this weekend?

    I am so craving a green smoothie now, that looks fabulous! And the weekend looks pretty darn good as well.
    Haha, awesome about the cheap wine. I actually find sometime cheap wine tastes better than the expensive stuff, but maybe I’m just crazy for thinking that 😉

      i like all wine- i’m not biased 😉 at walgreen’s all the wine was $5 off, so that bottle was originally $5.99. nice time to stock up! haha

    Hope your cars get fixed quickly without too much major hassle! There is nothing more stressful or a rough start to a week than car troubles.

    I did workout 3 + cardio surge yesterday, after doing the last week 2 workout on Saturday (not the brightest idea) and I am SOOOO sore! Rest day today for sure! I’m so happy with the results so far 🙂

    LOVE the skirt, Gina!!! And $0.49 wine sounds fantastic. We went to a friend’s last night and he cracked open a super vintage bottle of wine from France (pretty sure this thing was pricey) – and it showed…went down way to smoothly 😉 haha

    Love the pictures! So jealous of all that hair on Liv. We are still in the “just enough to clip” stage. Although, to be honest, as my daughter approaches 18 months and starts losing her “baby look” I get sad because time is going so fast so the lack of hair fools me into thinking she is still my baby 🙂 And, I don’t know about you and you don’t have to say but lately Im getting that whole “hmm….I could do this again someday…soon? Right?!” And then I remember how much I love sleep! 🙂

    I did workout 2 yesterday (I know, I’m behind in the times), and it was killer. Part of it was because our gym was death (no AC — and old hangar building), and I had so much sweat dripping off me that I had to put a towel on the ball in order to keep my legs on it.

    Oh my gosh, Livi is getting so big and looking more like her dad! I really hope that once my fiance and I start having kids my parents move closer. It’s fabulous that you guys are so close to your family, especially for the Pilot since his are on the other side of the country. 🙂

    Love the skirt! Workout 3 was a doozy! I never thought push-up to renegade rows could be so challenging! Loved it tho and am seeing some definite strength results!! Instead of doing the speed surge I took a spin class… Lets just say I think I left all of my spray tan on the floor;) ha! Thanks for the awesome workout again Gina!

    Hey I totally have that pink skirt too–love wearing it with stripes!

    Workout 3 was awesome! I love that each week is really a different format alltogether and the SSU has thus far been teaching me to “work smarter & harder” rather than just longer… I think it is so easy to get into the trap of just adding minutes and minutes onto your cardio thinking that is what gets results–when a quick HIIT workout is so short and fun that it is over in a flash but really pushes you. Also loving the strength + short bursts of cardio.

      that is so awesome! and yes, it’s all about just being efficient with your time. you really don’t need to work out longer than 30-45 minutes unless you’re training for something, or you want to.
