Hey everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY!

Iโ€™ve got a seriously amazing giveaway to kick off the weekendโ€ฆ.

Remember this cookbook that I got (and have been experimenting with a little this week)??

011

I talked to Sarma, founder of One Lucky Duck and co-founder Pure Food and Wine, and she has graciously offered a Fitnessista reader a signed copy of her new cookbook!!!

This cookbook is outta control amazing. The recipes are easy to follow, donโ€™t require a ton of obscure ingredients or fancy schmancy equipment and demonstrate that raw food doesnโ€™t have to be complicated to be beautiful and delicious. It also includes a boatload of information on nutrition and the raw lifestyle, yet reads like an email from a good friend. I read the book in itโ€™s entirety within 2 days.

Itโ€™s also a feast for the eyes with stunning photosโ€ฆ

Recipes for juicesโ€ฆ.

013

Salads, soups, snacks and impressive entreesโ€ฆ.

014

Cocktails and dessertsโ€ฆ.

015

Are ya sold yet??? ๐Ÿ˜€

Hereโ€™s how you can get 2 chances to win this beautiful cookbook:

  1. Leave a comment stating why youโ€™d like to win this cookbook and/or what youโ€™d like to make first if you win
  2. Link back to this post on your blog and send me an email (fitnessista at gmail dot com) with the link to your post. If you donโ€™t have a blog, no worries, just send me an email and Iโ€™ll get your extra entry in

Iโ€™ll post the winner at 8am EST on Monday, July 13th

Hi there! I would love to win this cookbook, because I've converted my husband to be a healthy eater too, and would love to be able to make healthy delicious meals for us both several nights a week.

I would definitely make one of ehr salads first. I love trying new refreshing salads, but I have a hard time for some reason coming up with my own combinations.

    Thanks for this offer!!

  2. A on July 10, 2009 at 9:12 am

I really want to incorporate more raw foods into my diet but other than plain fruits and veggies I'm pretty much clueless :(. Help fitnessista!!!

I would love to try some of the delicious stuff from Samara. I have been on the fence about getting the other cookbooks, so I think this would be a great opportunity! I have a few raw cookbooks but nothing has been 'wow' yet. The stuff you make always looks 'wow' so I would love to try!

  4. Katie on July 10, 2009 at 9:15 am

Oh my gosh, I would love to win this book! I never even thought about eating raw until I started reading your blog, now I am trying to do it more and more.

Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

Wow! This is an amazing contest. One of my best friends is a natural foods chef/health counselor and just introduced me to Pure Food and Wine. Recently, we stopped by their take-away outpost and tried some delicious desserts! (I live in NYC.) I became very interested in the vegan/raw food (I'm a longtime vegetarian) and was actually looking at the cookbook before you posted anything about it. Is it destiny? I think so! I would LOVE to try making the vanilla chai pudding. Thanks!

  7. Mara @ What's For Dinner? on July 10, 2009 at 9:18 am

I'd love this book!!! Raw food intrigues me to an extent, but it seems so overwhelming… besides, i have a running collection of signed cookbooks!

  8. Cold Eyes Disguise on July 10, 2009 at 9:32 am

I want to win this cookbook because I want to try the Vanilla Chai pudding recipe! I also want to learn more about raw food so that I can try to incorporate it slowly into my diet. However, I don't want to buy a lot of equipment so I think this will be a good cookbook for me to experiment the raw food life style!

  9. Tess moore on July 10, 2009 at 9:33 am

I have incorporated raw into my diet now for almost a year but can't get my husband on board. These recipes look so delious that I think he would be more than happy to try some of them out. The fact that they are easy to prepare and I would have the guidance of this great cookbook makes it perfect for me. Thanks for all your great blogs!

  10. eatingbirdfood on July 10, 2009 at 9:41 am

Oh la la- what a giveaway. I would love to win this cookbook. Believe it or not I have yet to purchase a raw cookbook so I am in dire need of one. All of the recipes you've already created from this cookbook look awesome so I can't wait to see what others are inside.

  11. Mary on July 10, 2009 at 9:44 am

I have been looking for a good raw cookbook for ages. I have gone to Barnes and Noble several times and came away empty handed all because I couldn't make up my mind. After hearing your comments and review of the book, I know I want this one!

Who am I kidding, I would definitely make one of the desserts first! : )

  12. brandi on July 10, 2009 at 9:45 am

oh my gosh, how awesome! I would love to win this cookbook so I can find recipes that both my husband and I would enjoy to try out eating raw. I've found some things that I think I would like, but I would love to have some that would be appealing to him, as well.

  13. Pam on July 10, 2009 at 9:46 am

    Hi Gina,

This is great! I sent you an email with the link from my blog.

I have Sarma's first book and have made several recipes. The photo's are amazing.

I love desserts, so I would have to choose a dessert recipe in the book.

    Enjoy and thank you,

    Pam

  17. adrianna on July 10, 2009 at 9:51 am

I'd love to start experiementing w/ raw foods for twofold: 1) i've battled stomach issues nearly my entire life (woot woot IBS), and 2) i've been battling skin issues for 12-13 years now.

I'd be very interested to see if changes in my diet would help, even in the least little bit…I've just never had the proper resources to start it off. And I'd like to do it properly. Oh, and I LOVE fruits and veggies like no other!

  18. Meagan on July 10, 2009 at 9:53 am

Yum! I'd love to win this and learn some easy, quick raw lunches to take to work instead of the plain old chicken sandwich I seem to take everyday!

  41. Amy on July 10, 2009 at 10:31 am

I would love to win this book because I am preparing myself to develop a high-raw diet. I was always a super healthy eater until about 6 months ago — and now I teeter between healthy eats and really junky eating — too much food or sugar overload, carb overload. Somehow,I've taken up eating as a response to stress and anxiety. I need to refocus my attitude toward eating. For now, I am reading Natalia Rose. Would love additional info and recipe ideas.

  42. Ash on July 10, 2009 at 10:32 am

OoOo I was *just* checking out this book at the bookstore last weekend and this week put it on my Amazon wishlist!
