At-home 30-minute Power Yoga Workout
Hi friends! Howโs the day going so far? I hope youโre having a good morning. Weโre just taking it easy today and looking forward to catching a swim this afternoon.
Letโs practice yoga together, eh?
Over the past 9+ weeks, yoga has been even more crucial to me than ever. (And MAN I miss hot yoga studio classes.) Itโs helped to stretch out my tight hip flexors from all of the walking weโve been doing, and given me a chance to just zone out and focus on the present moment. This has been helpful when my mind has been going 1,000 miles a minute lately.
Iโve been sharing video workouts on the blog since 2009, and got my 200-hour yoga certification while I was pregnant with P, but this is the first time Iโm posting a yoga video! I delayed getting my yoga certification because I wasnโt sure if Iโd want to teach. Yoga has always been a sacred thing thatโs just for me, and I worried that if I was analyzing classes to listen for form cues and music flow, that it would take away the magic. It absolutely didnโt. Yoga teacher training did so much for me personally and it changed my practice and my life. (You can check out more about my experience here!)
Even so, Iโve always been a little self-conscious about teaching yoga. I just want to do it right, ya know? I put a lot of pressure on myself and also have the imposter syndrome that I havenโt been teaching yoga very long (I could teach barre, dance cardio, BODYPUMP, spin, strength/HIIT, and bootcamp-style classes ALL DAY) and Iโm not the most flexible bird. Like I canโt do any crazy handstands or insane splits. My hamstrings are tight and my heels donโt touch the floor in downward dog. But I LOVE YOGA and decided that I shouldnโt let my insecurities keep me from sharing it with those I love. <โ aka you guys!
So hereโs my first attempt at recording a yoga flow! I like my classes to be a little faster-paced (so it feels like a workout), with lots of room for modifications, progressions, and juicy stretches.

Please give it a whirl and let me know what you think!! Iโm working on revamping my YouTube channel and posting more workouts there if youโd like to subscribe, too. (This video was blocked because I have background music playing, so please pin it or save it if youโd like to do this one in the future.)
Have a lovely morning and Iโll see ya soon!

Hello, this looks great! I have one question… would you recommend to do yoga if one still has diastasis r.? Or should I just stick to doing your recommended exercises until it feels fully or almost fully healed?
Thank you! Can’t wait to be able to try this: )
i would modify the plank work (on your knees) but the rest of it should be fine! just make sure you’re breathing and avoid anything that pushes your core out
xoxo
This looks like it would be a good challenge for me. Iโve learned that physical challenges give me something to focus on right now, so yoga and intense hikes have been my main therapy during all this! Side note: your hair is soooo long and pretty, tell us your secrets pretty please?? ๐
i feel the same way! it’s therapeutic to move and challenge yourself a bit
thank you so much! i’m like 4 months overdue for a haircut lol. i’ve just been letting it air dry a lot and not washing it very often (twice a week) ๐
Thanks for sharing this one, Gina! That was restorative but still a nice challenge, I loved it ๐
ahhh YAY i’m so happy you liked it!
Loving yoga right now! Just finished this one, and loved it! Keep them coming ๐
glad to hear you enjoyed it! <3 xoxox!!
My husband and I just did this together (with our toddler running in every five seconds, haha). Thank you!

Thank you! ๐
Came here to ask the same! What about the bra? I need some cute ones!!
I really enjoyed and needed this workout- thank you!
so happy you liked it! bra is from lorna jane – they make my fave sports bras!
This is perfect for me – I love CorePower Yoga and this covers all the moves I need but quickly so I work up a sweat. I am getting ads when I watch tho – is there a way to do it without the ads? Also, I find the music a little distracting – I thought there was another video playing. But otherwise, loved it! Thank you!
This was great, Gina! Thank you for sharing. I loved getting my heart rate up.
yay, so happy you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for an awesome flow! Just what I needed to get the week going!
YESSS! so glad to hear it! xoxo
I did this yesterday! Thank you! I definitely couldn’t keep up with all those chaturangas lol but it still felt so good! I plan to try your barre video next!
