Fave cold weather gear + a giveaway- ENDED
Welcome to Tucson, winter.
I have to say, I was a little bit excited when I pulled out my beloved purple Scuba hoodie this morning.
It felt so weird to easily zip it, instead of awkwardly trying to zip it over a large pregnant belly like last year, even though I do kinda miss the belly. I love the soft fabric, the cozy hood and the thumbholes, of course. While it never gets cold enough to warrant working out in a sweatshirt out here, it’s definitely one of my favorite cold weather pieces.
Also on the list: my new arm sleeves that I bought for the race a few weeks ago.
It’s a perfect way to keep warm, without having to commit to a long-sleeved shirt. You get too hot, you take the sleeves off and, in my case, stuff them in your shirt to give you some crazy-looking bumps.
I also love running tights, ear warming headbands and mittens when it’s time for outdoor workouts in the cold. As much as I love all of the extras, hoodies will always be my favorite! I adore so many different styles and brands.

I love Turbofire in the winter. Its a great workout, and I can exercise indoors. I also love treadmill runs when watching Parenthood….it makes it bearable. ๐

Fave winter workout- sledding! It becomes a great workout when you have to haul your butt AND the sled back up the hill! If there isn’t any snow (a rarity in Chicago!) then I love a good spin class!

Definitely love hot yoga during the winter! But this hoodie would also be perfect for keeping warm while trying to wear my out energentic blue heeler on long runs ๐
My fav winter workout is weights + cardio. I typically dont have more than 1hr to spend at the gym to I break it down to 30min weights (1-2 body parts at a time) then 30min elip or treadmill.
I live in a warm place, so winter is definitely the time to get outside and finally enjoy some cooler temps! We particularly like hiking and trail running.

Running at night in my neighborhood! Everything is quiet and the air is perfect!
Besides breastfeeding (thank you for the extra 500 calories!) and doing squats all day by picking up my “big for his age” 6 month old, my favorite winter work out is running outside with our BOB (and baby). We have a neighborhood loop that we try to do every other day during the rare sunshine (from the PNW). On off running days, I try to eat healthier and do either a Jillian workout video or pilates.
I love hot yoga and spinning!! Although it doesn’t get very cold here in SoCal… ๐
My favorite winter workout is road cycling in the fog. We live right by the beach in Southern California, and I absolutely love biking in the fog. It’s probably not the safest workout ever, but everything seems so much quieter and peaceful when its foggy out. ๐
Similar to AZ, Texas doesn’t get too much of a real winter. But, I do love a nice, heavy leg workout inside on exceptionally chilly days.

I’ve been loving Insanity this past month!! It is super sweaty and I can do it from home with very little room and NO equipment!! Plus, no weatehr based excuses to not workout ๐

Oooh, love that jacket! My favorite winter workout is my spinning class. When it gets to cold to run out I hit the gym a couple times a week for my other fav cardio burner!

I am doing Turbofire for my winter workout at the moment. We are about to do our first station move together, so when we hit Virginia next month I am going to try out CrossFit for the first time and see what classes the base gym offers.

Snow skiing would be my favorite winter workout, but living in Texas makes that next to impossible. Most practical winter workout is Strike at Lifetime Fitness!
