Fave cold weather gear + a giveaway- ENDED
Welcome to Tucson, winter.
I have to say, I was a little bit excited when I pulled out my beloved purple Scuba hoodie this morning.
It felt so weird to easily zip it, instead of awkwardly trying to zip it over a large pregnant belly like last year, even though I do kinda miss the belly. I love the soft fabric, the cozy hood and the thumbholes, of course. While it never gets cold enough to warrant working out in a sweatshirt out here, it’s definitely one of my favorite cold weather pieces.
Also on the list: my new arm sleeves that I bought for the race a few weeks ago.
It’s a perfect way to keep warm, without having to commit to a long-sleeved shirt. You get too hot, you take the sleeves off and, in my case, stuff them in your shirt to give you some crazy-looking bumps.
I also love running tights, ear warming headbands and mittens when it’s time for outdoor workouts in the cold. As much as I love all of the extras, hoodies will always be my favorite! I adore so many different styles and brands.

My favorite winter workout is yoga. It helps me deal with the stress of the holidays and the blahs that come from the days being so short.
My favorite winter workout (when I can do it) is skiing! I LOVE being outside and when I’m in the mountains in the snow its so beautiful!

I tend to stick to classes and running in the gym during our cold Canadian winters, but my favourite outside so-fun-they-don’t-feel-like-exercise activities are definitely skating and tobogganing! Sprinting back up that hill over and over is hard work!
My favorite winter workout is boot camp. It may be chilly when you start but you warm up very fast! ๐

My favorite winter workout is definitely to go for a run!
My favorite winter workout is a run outside after work. A 4 mile run warms me up for the rest of the night!
Being from the wonderfully always freezing state of Wisconsin winter workouts last about 9 months while summer workouts last about 3 ๐ My family is a huge hockey family so outdoor ice rinks are a must! Can you say hello ice skating TABATAs?!?! Also, dragging kids up a sledding hill is always a great quad burner!!

I really want to start jogging outside as I started to get vertigo on the treadmill recently and I just can’t shake it!
I love running in the winter (winter here is more mild than other places, so it’s chilly but not downright frigid). I love the way the cold air feels on my face and it’s so much nicer than feeling really hot during the summer.
Defiantly a Tabata workout. Because I can do it right from my bedroom which has minimal space. Defiantly my go to workout.

Working out in the winter always seems harder so anything inside. My ALLTIME favorite in the winter is hot yoga – nothing better than sweating it out on a cold winter day.
My favorite winter workout may be ice skating…it always sounds intimidating, but as soon as you get your balance, it ends up being more fun than you remember! I love that you can get some movement in as well as complete a winter activity! I would love this jacket! I am within walking distance from my gym and cannot yet justify driving…This jacket would keep me well insulated for the winter months!

My favorite winter workout is anything that I can do indoors like a DVD or the treadmill.
Well, it doesn’t get too cold where I live, so my workouts have been the same…running and doing some of your indoor workouts. I love the fitness routines that you post!

Also, about the sleeves, sometimes you can buy leg warmers for much cheaper (that’s what I use for “sleeves”– not the big puffy leg warmers, but the sleeker, flatter ones). I wore them during my last race and they worked great!

Running on our NIDOOR treadmill…..it’s in our bonus room that never gets used, and it’s always so chilly in there! Feels like running outside ๐

I am a huge fan of going for a run at night when its just about to snow. Running in a sweater like that would make it all the more perfect =)

My favourite cold weather workout is to get all nice and warm and go for a walk while its snowing ๐ it’s absolutely beautiful outside, and surprisingly, you get warm pretty quickly.
My favorite winter gear is a fuzzy hat that covers my ears!
