Favorite things giveaway: barre3

Today’s giveaway is extra special because EVERYONE is already getting a sweet gift from barre3: 15 days of free unlimited online classes!! To redeem yours, click this link and enter the code โ€œbarre3fitnessista”

As you guys know, Iโ€™m a huge fan of barre workouts. I love all of the various types, teach weekly barre classes, and also seek out new and beloved studios when I travel. My good friend Kate owns the Tucson barre3 studio (go say hello! She is the sweetest ever, and then sheโ€™ll make your legs cry) and I love take classes when I get the opportunity. Barre3 is unlike traditional barre classes. Many of the exercises are similar, but there is a mind-body element to Barre3 (a yoga, Pilates and barre lovechild), and they have a holistic approach to health and wellness. barre3 doesnโ€™t end when you walk out the door; I feel that they truly support and encourage their clients with overall health, balance and wellbeing. In addition to the classes, they provide support for mamas with their Play Lounge (Liv loves it!), and also offer healthy recipes, tips and advice through their website.

Thanks so much for the code! I want to try the Ballet Fit workout first. I try to stay balanced by getting in my workout first thing in the morning before the day gets too busy even if its just a quick workout. Also, when I’m home over the holidays I try to do some workouts with my girlfriends like boot camp, body pump, or orange theory. Also, I already followed you on insta! ๐Ÿ™‚

I need to step on the scale regularly as a reminder of my indulgences. It just helps me balance treats with good eats. : )

I stay balanced this time of year by writing out my schedule and making sure to write in time for myself (workouts, a mani/pedi, a coffee date with a friend).

I try and be extra cautious of my water intake during the holiday season. Also fit in a quick workout even if its a walk down the street or a quick circuit before the day gets going.

I agree that making sure your not restricting yourself throughout the rest of the year is the key to balance during the holidays. I def don’t want to overindulge right now because it’s not THAT much of a treat for me.

  23. Joci S. on December 4, 2014 at 6:23 am

Thank you so much for the hook up with online barre3 classes! I have been wanting to try them out forever and now I finally can!! The first on the list is Barre3 Rejuvenate.

  24. Joci S. on December 4, 2014 at 6:24 am

  25. Charlotte on December 4, 2014 at 6:33 am

Drinking lots of water and making sure to take at least a 15 minute walk every day to give me a little alone time and excerise is key!

  26. Julie on December 4, 2014 at 6:46 am

This is going to make me sound like the craziest cat lady, but the kitties keep me balanced. I swear they know when I’m upset, and one of them will usually park in my lap and force me to get some down time

  27. Laurie O on December 4, 2014 at 6:48 am

Teaching helps me stay balanced during the holidays. One – you can’t miss class if you’re the one teaching it! Two- you can’t get too crazy at holiday parties if you have to teach the next morning/evening.

  28. Jessica on December 4, 2014 at 6:48 am

I try to kick up my water intake to stay balanced during the holidays. Helps keep me fuller so I don’t eat as many Christmas cookies! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  35. Molly on December 4, 2014 at 6:55 am

Yay!! This is very exciting because just two days ago I was looking for barre workouts online or on YouTube and I had a very hard time. I love barre workouts but it’s hard to get to a studio with my singing schedule.

  43. Elizabeth on December 4, 2014 at 7:54 am

To keep me settled during the holidays (or any busy time), I like to take a step away from electronics and read a book. It always calms me and brings me back to a solid place.

  44. Katie on December 4, 2014 at 8:09 am

I start each day with some activity-even just a few burpees or a quick walk. It sets the tone for a health conscious day, even if that just means 3 cookies instead of 4.

  45. Katie on December 4, 2014 at 8:11 am

I signed up for barre3 and plan on doing a core workout!

  46. Michelle Hall on December 4, 2014 at 8:27 am

I activated my account. Signed up for the 7 day challenge. I am excited to try all of the videos!!

  47. kathy on December 4, 2014 at 8:28 am

Holidays are sometimes hard with all the extra cookies and candy and drinks all around. I try to keep balanced by pushing myself a little harder after a day of overload. I also try to add in more activities that are fun workouts. Going snowboarding, ice skating, snow shoeing, sledding. When workouts are fun they go by so much faster than watching the clock count down on a treadmill!

  48. Nikki on December 4, 2014 at 8:41 am

I give up ice cream at night

  49. Lindsey M on December 4, 2014 at 8:45 am

Signed up for the free trial and excited to try some of the pre-natal exercises – 17 weeks today!

  50. Vicky on December 4, 2014 at 9:11 am

I try to make sure I can find a little time for myself, even if its just a few minutes a day.
