Favorite things giveaway: Swopper

I am so, so excited for today’s giveaway. I use this every day, and am actually using it while writing this post: my Swopper chair!!
(There are furniture moving disk thingies —scientific term— attached on the bottom to protect the floors.)
Not only is this chair extremely sleek and comfy, but it has hidden benefits. The beauty of this chair is that it allows for natural spinal movement: up and down, forward and back, and from side to side. If you’ll notice, in most desk chairs, you’re stuck in a stationary position. This can decrease circulation (as you’re not moving any muscles while you sit) and from that, decrease oxygen to the brain which can make us sleepy and not perform to optimum levels. The beauty of the Swopper chair is that it allows gentle movement in all planes, increases circulation, increases energy, and promotes improved posture. This is a huge one for me because I have horrible posture. When I’m in this chair, I feel comfortable, but am less likely to slouch.
We’ve just started to transition this little hallway nook into my office area, and the Swopper chair is my favorite piece.

Because it’s so cute
I sit at a desk 9 hours a day (4 days a week) and have lots of back pain. This would really help! I’m very intrigued.
I’m a photographer, so editing and working a 40 hour a week office job so my days consist of sitting at a computer over 10 hours a day. The concept of this chair is wonderful!
oooooohhhh! I definitely need this chair! I work full-time and am a doctoral student which means I spend all of my time sitting. This would be a great change! Thinking about my posture right now and someone needs to get that back straight!

I would LOVE this for my office! I have tried sitting on a stability ball while at my desk and I just couldn’t get comfortable. I am a huge sloucher when I sit in my normal desk chair, so this would be such an amazing replacement!

Today I’ve been smiling because I woke up early, made some green tea, and sat on the couch to study. Within a few minutes my sweet dog Sophie came to cuddle next to me. 🙂

This chair would be so great! I spend 11+ hours a day sitting at the computer and I know that it is killing my posture!

I’m an attorney and sit in my office for long periods of time each and every day. I would love to win the swopper chair — I don’t have great posture and I’ve noticed that by the end of the day my back is aching 🙁

Something that is making me smile today is that after a year I am able to run again with minimal pain 🙂

Wow what a great chair! I conduct ergonomic evaluations at work and have recommended all sorts of chairs, but have never seen anything like that! My chair is horrible, but it’s not in my budget to replace it (which is crazy, considering I tell other people to!). Something that makes me smile at work today – the internet was out for 2 hours, so I got to sit and drink coffee all morning!
