podcast is back (+ a giveaway!)

Hi from Tucson! Exciting news today: the podcast is back! I took a little bit of a spring break to get my creative mojo going, and wanted to take some time to narrow down the type of content I wanted to provide. I didn’t expect it to grow as quickly as it did (thank you!!!), and wanted to make sure I was giving you the best content possible. I took a couple of months to brainstorm, interview guests, and relaunch with a more strategic vision.

So, here we are!

Fitnessista Podcast Cover

(Same photo! Maybe we’ll update it in the fall)

I’m very excited for the newest episode because I’m chatting with my good friend and macro coach, Emily Field, RD. Emily is extremely knowledgable, down-to-earth, and I love chatting with her. You can check out the podcast notes + a full transcript of the episode here.

Exciting news: Emily is going to be teaming up with me for this year’s Summer Shape Up! We start the party on June 24, and she’ll be providing the meal plans, grocery lists, and macro counts for your nutrition goals.

To join in, make sure you’re signed up to my newsletter. This way you’ll be sure to get all of the info first!

How about a little “welcome back podcast” celebration giveaway?

I would love to hear more on balance – I’m a soon to be mom of two, and I’m slightly terrified of balancing that.

Also, anything on creating personalized workout plans. Not from a trainer, but cardio/weight training balance. How do things like OrangeTheory fit into a weeky plan?

  2. Dominique on June 5, 2019 at 11:21 am

I’d love to hear more about pelvic floor rehab and running! Or anything mom-life!

hi Gina, I started to listen to your podcast few weeks ago, and really like it! I especially love the episodes on prenatal or postpartum fitness/nutrition, as I’m entering my second trimester 🙂
Further episodes on which workout programs or exercises to follow during pregnancy would be awesome!

Hi Gina – love you and your family!

A great topic idea I would love you to cover is good side hustle ideas…I would love an idea on how to make some extra money on the side, but have no real ideas (I know Beauty Counter is a good one)…but maybe some other ideas as well 🙂

  7. Meighan on June 5, 2019 at 11:36 am

I would love to hear about how you meal plan/plan your workouts each week!! The more ideas for me the better!

    Thanks Gina!!

I’d love to hear about rest days- when to take them, how often, how to tell if you’re too sick/tired or sore to go to the gym, or when you need to push yourself.

  12. Charlsie N on June 5, 2019 at 11:44 am

A good topic would be more about post pregnancy care with a focus on working out and nursing.

  15. Amy Austin on June 5, 2019 at 11:49 am

What about a podcast on the first few months of how you adjusted to getting fit? So many people talk about the current situation…..but for many people, we need to hear or see what helped keep you motivated to make such a change.
    Thanks for considering!!!!

I subscribed on Stitcher and have missed you! I would love episodes on body post-baby. Not necessarily ‘get your body back’ because I don’t believe in that but, how to repair, strengthen and set your new body up to be as healthy as possible.

  20. Jessica Nesseler on June 5, 2019 at 12:00 pm

I would like to hear more about your back story. Have you always been in shape and aware of nutrition? Thanks!

  21. Julia on June 5, 2019 at 12:04 pm

Hi Gina! I’m glad the podcast is back. I think a topic I’d be interested in hearing about would be Tucson, honestly. But I live close enough to visit. And maybe food outside of strictly nutrition, even hearing from your brother about cooking would be very cool.

  22. Julia on June 5, 2019 at 12:04 pm

I am subscribed on google play. 🙂

I would love to hear a nutritionist talk about getting proper nutrition after having weight loss surgery. Not for the people who have just had it, maybe for those a couple of years out?

  32. Michelle on June 5, 2019 at 12:14 pm

I left a podcast review. So glad it’s back, I look forward to listening to the new episode!

  33. kolya on June 5, 2019 at 12:19 pm

I think a podcast on etiquette of all kinds: food, party, dinner, fashion, social media etc. would be fun.

  34. kolya on June 5, 2019 at 12:21 pm

I am not usually a podcast fan but I’ve heard one or two and learned a lot. It’s nice that you offer a transcript too.

  36. Sarah Jane on June 5, 2019 at 12:23 pm

I would love to hear about pelvic floor rehab as I am expecting my third and having noticeably more issues this time. Just told my hubby last night that I am going to need to schedule a visit with a pelvic floor PT after this baby is born. I would also love to hear from your chef brother on how to make meals on the fly, how to know what flavors and things work together when you just have a bunch of randoms in the fridge/pantry that you need to use.

  37. Kirsten on June 5, 2019 at 12:24 pm

I love that Bella has sponsored this giveaway!

Hi Gina! I’d love to hear some info on the rhythm method and tracking your cycle with your temperature. I got off of birth control over a year ago, but I feel like we’re playing a game of Russian Roulette!
