Raw-mazing Giveaway
Hey everyone! Hope you’ve had a great day so far <3 Thank you for all of your advice regarding whether I should give running another chance. I’m still thinking it out and want to talk it over with the pilot… so we shall see 😉
So… Bikram is HOT.
(Source)
Not so much Bikram himself –my apologies if you find him seksi, he’s just not my type- but the yoga oven torture chamber. I LOVE the heat and it usually feels amazing, but this morning the air was thick, uncomfortably hot and took a lot of deep breathing to get through the 90 minutes. It was a very, very challenging class.
When it was over, I took my schweaty self to Whole Paycheck and sipped a carrot, apple, beet, ginger juice
and also got hot bar for breakfast.
Plantains, squash and zucchini, shrimp salad, Babylonian Treasure salad, and my beloved vegan miso slaw.
I came back to my aunt’s casa, said my “see ya later”s and got on the road back to Valdizzy.
I’m about to pick up Viesa from the kennel and head to the base gym, but before I go…
a GIVEAWAY from Ani Phyo!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ani while I was at 105degrees– not only is she totally gorgeous, but she’s also kind and personable.
This giveaway is extra exciting because I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this cookbook since last year.
Ani’s Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food
I LOVE Ani’s Phyo’s recipes. They’re simple and many don’t require fancy gadgets, like dehydrators, spiralizers, mandonlines, etc.
Also, they’re DELICIOUS 😀
This cookbook includes 250 recipes and is a perfect uncookbook for beginning chefs and masters of the kitchen.
Recipes include:
- Broccoli-Cheddar Quiche

Ready… set… go!

Gina
I would probably make people laugh, but my dad is a chef, and I think he would be my favorite and probably the one I know best.
If that doesn’t count and we’re speaking in terms of celeb chefs, it’d have to be Aaron Sanchez. He’s just flat out AMAZING and adorable in all ways.
I love Giada De Laurentis. I also really love Anthony Bourdain.
I don’t eat a lot of what she cooks but I love watching Ina Garten. She just cools me out. If she ever decides to give up cooking she could come be my in-house therapist. 😉
does Martha Stewart count? I know I know I sound so old school but I’m ok with that 🙂 I will always love me some Martha!
My favorite chef to watch is Giada De Laurentis. Although I could not see myself eating some of the stuff she makes, I just love the way that she gets all five senses involved in her cooking. She always talks about food color, smell, feel and even the sound of it cooking. All of this before she even tastes anything. WOW!.
My favorite chef who I would love to eat from is probably Ina Garten. All of her foods look so vibrant. My only drawback is that she pays no attention to calories, which is probably why I imagine everyting tasting so wonderful.
My boyfriend 🙂
Jo Kaucher!
My favorite chef is Giada! Some say I even look like her! I don’t know whether I agree with that or not, but she is amazing either way!
It’s so hard to pick just one – I love Alton Brown and America’s Test Kitchen when I’m in the scientific mood, I love Giada and Tyler from the food network when I’m in the mood for yum! For everyday recipe ideas, I love the Clean Eating Magazine and Clean Food cookbook!
Ingrid Hoffman! Her guava glazed salmon with mango salsa is TDF!
Bobby is a close second though 😉
My favorite chef is Ina Garten– you can never go wrong with one of her recipes! However, they aren’t exactly healthy enough to make on a regular basis… so I usually only use them for “special” occasions. 🙂
I love Ani Phyo’s first cookbook, so I can’t wait to try her new one!!
My favorite chef is Alice Waters. I love her food and philosophy.
My favorite chef has to be my 87 year old Oma, she truly makes the most amazing German meals. Mall-dushan is her specialty which is kind of like German Ravioli. I’ve spend a lot of time in the kitchen with her and have learned so much. Even though she has now lost most of her eyesight she has an amazing spirit and I love her so much!!
LOVE Giada and I would LOVE that cookbook!
Wow, that book looks awesome! I’m vegetarian but wouldn’t mind dabbling in the raw for a while…
I really enjoy Nigella Lawson! So yummy! Her food that is…
I love Ellie Krieger. I’m a huge fan of creative ways to enjoy our fave “unhealthy” meals in fun news ways without so many calories!
My favorite chef is Jamie Oliver!
i love anthony bourdain. i’ve never had his food, but he’s just awesome in general.
I love Alice Waters’ entire story, and her cooking is great and earthy.
My Fave chef owns a bistro in Comox, BC. He is so creative when I request big salads without cheese & with anything fresh.
Favorite TV chef would have to be either Ina or Bobby. I just love their presence and you can tell that they both really care about the food they’re cooking! My all time favorite though would have to be Alice Waters! I love her books! Healthy and tasty dishes.
My favorite chef is Ani! 🙂 She is the first raw book that I bought and her recipes are so simple and amazing! 🙂
I love Donna Hay! she is from New Zealand and her recipes are simple, with fresh ingredients, and her photography is crisp and gorgeous!
I love Tyler Florence. His “ultimate” recipes are totally over the top indulgent, and I always have success.
I think Bobby Flay would have to be a favorite!
Rick Bayless, maybe. I like Bobby Flay also because I love sauces. So sorry to hear about the job. Sounds like she’s on a power trip.
I’m another Bobby Flay lover. All of his cookbooks are amazing, and Mesa Grill is probably one of my favorite restaurants ever. Goat Cheese Queso is what dreams are made of!
Giada! I love watching her show, and her food always looks amazing.
My Grandma June is my favorite chef- fried green tomatoes, collard greens, cornbread and buttermilk all remind me of her. She’s a beautiful, old-fashioned chef.
Jamie Oliver is my favorite celebrity chef, though. I think his work with schools and lunch programs is so important.
I am my favorite chef!
I’d have to say Giada! Watching her show is so relaxing, and everything looks so colorful and yummy
My favorite chef is probably me because I get to make things how I like ’em. If I had to pick a person people know, Ina Garten. Hello, decadence!
Hmmm I don’t know if I have a favorite chef, but I do love all the healthy and creatvie recipes I find from the bloggers!!
My favorite chef is COLLEEN PATRICK-GOUDREAU. THE GREAYEST VEGAN CHEF ever! Healthy, creative vegan recipes.
My favorite chef is my dad! He is an awesome cook and when I changed my eating habits he always made sure that I could enjoy whatever he was cooking too! Love my dad!!!
My daughter is my favorite chef as she taught herself how to cook as I cannot even boil water!
By far, my favorite chef is my “uncle.” He’s not related to me, but he’s my dad’s best friend so we call him Uncle Rob. He’s from New Zealand and he makes the best roasted lamb, actually, the best roasted ANYTHING that I have ever tasted!
My favorite chefs are Jamie Oliver and Ina Garten!
My favorite favorite chef is Giada De laurentiis! Her food always looks amazing and fresh and she has such a sparkling personality.
Ohhhh such a hard one….. I think my fav cheffer is my hubby. It is a raw occasion for him to cook, but when he does, oh boy!
haha rare** — I guess I have raw food on the brain!
I am in love with Curtis Stone. I have loved his style of cooking since way back when he first started appearing on TLC. I like how he uses fresh ingredients and can make anything on the spot from whatever ingredients he has…my kind of cooking. My husband was a bit jealous when I was swooning over him when he made appearances on Biggest Loser. 😉
My chef would have to be Giada De Laurentiis. She is so cute, perky, bubbly, and her food is fresh, delicious and for the most part delicious.
Alton Brown! He is full of amazing facts and information about cooking.
Has to be Giada De Laurentis followed closely by Ina Garten.
Either myself, (not to brag or anything), or Bethenny Frankel. 🙂
hmmmmm i like rachal ray!
My favorite chef… Jennifer Carroll from Top Chef Las Vegas. She’s totally my hero and inspiration!
Rachel Ray…even though shes not very vegetarian based, when I did eat meat I liked that she never used a ton of confusing ingredients.
