Raw-mazing Giveaway
Hey everyone! Hope you’ve had a great day so far <3 Thank you for all of your advice regarding whether I should give running another chance. I’m still thinking it out and want to talk it over with the pilot… so we shall see 😉
So… Bikram is HOT.
(Source)
Not so much Bikram himself –my apologies if you find him seksi, he’s just not my type- but the yoga oven torture chamber. I LOVE the heat and it usually feels amazing, but this morning the air was thick, uncomfortably hot and took a lot of deep breathing to get through the 90 minutes. It was a very, very challenging class.
When it was over, I took my schweaty self to Whole Paycheck and sipped a carrot, apple, beet, ginger juice
and also got hot bar for breakfast.
Plantains, squash and zucchini, shrimp salad, Babylonian Treasure salad, and my beloved vegan miso slaw.
I came back to my aunt’s casa, said my “see ya later”s and got on the road back to Valdizzy.
I’m about to pick up Viesa from the kennel and head to the base gym, but before I go…
a GIVEAWAY from Ani Phyo!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ani while I was at 105degrees– not only is she totally gorgeous, but she’s also kind and personable.
This giveaway is extra exciting because I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this cookbook since last year.
Ani’s Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food
I LOVE Ani’s Phyo’s recipes. They’re simple and many don’t require fancy gadgets, like dehydrators, spiralizers, mandonlines, etc.
Also, they’re DELICIOUS 😀
This cookbook includes 250 recipes and is a perfect uncookbook for beginning chefs and masters of the kitchen.
Recipes include:
- Broccoli-Cheddar Quiche
- Brazil Nut Banana Pancakes
- Pad Thai with Kelp Noodles
- Coconut Cake with Nutella Hazelnut Sauce
- Black Olive and Pesto Pizza
So how can this 250 recipe cookbook be yours?
Leave a comment telling me who your favorite chef is.
The lucky winner will be chosen randomly tomorrow night (6/15) at midnight.
Ready… set… go!
xoxo,
Gina
I’d have to say Ina Garten– I love that lady! Everything she makes looks so wonderful.
It’s a toss up between Jamie Oliver and Sunny Anderson!
Karlos Arguinano the best spanish chef
I’d say Giada because her recipes always come out great and she is soo cute when she cooks!
I’d say my favorite chef would be Giada De Laurentiis. Her recipes always look and taste amazing!
My favorite is Ree Drummond aka Pioneer Woman. Sometimes I don’t know if its really the food or just the awesome photos of the food!
I used to always watch Yan Can Cook as a child and thought he was hilarious! Today I guess my favorite chef is a toss-up between Jamie Oliver because I could listen to him talk all day (LOL!) and Chef Gordon Ramsey from Hell’s Kitchen because he’s angry and exciting! 🙂
I love Ina Garten! I find her voice and the setting of her show really soothing. Her recipes aren’t what I eat every day, but I have made her turkey sausage lasagna and it was awesome! Her recipes are great for entertaining and treats.
Giada is my favorite. Her recipes never disappoint.
I really can’t say that I have a favorite chef either. I have cookbooks that I love and I also love surfing the web and going to allrecipes.com to find a recipe for ingredients that I have and trying everyone else’s favorite recipes. 😀
Favorite chef: my mama, hehe :P. But for real, Giada De Laurentiis for sure 🙂

I LOVE Giada – everythng she does looks so fresh, pristine and delish!
I have made many of her dishes and am always in gourmet heaven.
My favorite chef is my brother, Seth Gregory! He is the head chef/part owner at The Fine Line Bistro in Ithaca, NY (my college alma mater as well:-)). It isn’t raw, probably not necessarily healthy either, but it’s fresh, original, made with love and DELICIOUSO!!

Bobby Flay, Bobby Flay, Bobby Flay! <3
Michael Stone is actually one of my favourites – a Canadian cutie. 🙂
Right now my favorite chef would have to be Claire Robinson from 5 ingredient fix. Her meals are easy and very flavorful.
I looked at Ani’s Phyo’s cookbook at the store the other day and it looked awesome. I would love to get my hands on it.
My mom, hands down 🙂 but for professional chefs definitely Jamie Oliver! His Food Revolution project was mindblowing!
Right now, my favorite chef is Lauren Ulm from Vegan Yum Yum… mostly because my relationship with vegan yum yum pancakes is now bordering on the unhealthy… 🙂
Go Giada! She is adorable, personable and worked hard for it! I am going to a raw, vegan and natural foods culinary program soon and would love the new cookbook! Plus tomorrow is my birthday 🙂
Mario Batali. He always seems like he is having so much fun when he is cooking. 🙂
I second Curtis Stone! I would love this cookbook since I’m still a beginner at this raw/healthy cooking stuff. I feel like I’m always winging it! It would be nice to have a guide to go by!
Hands down…Ina Garten
My favorite chef is my husband. Although he is not classically trained he is a great cook. He is so adventurous and has opened my eyes to all types of cuisine I might never have tried if I hadn’t married him. Plus, he does the dishes…Need I say more.
I LOVE Ina Garten but can I also vote my mom? 😉
I love Curtis Stone! I have for a while now, he is healthy and seems so fun.
jamie oliver or gordon ramsey! Love their accents! I hope i win…..check out my blog; healthyhelper.wordpress.com
So many…but lately I’m loving Anthony Bourdain- though maybe not technically a chef anymore. 🙂
My favorite chef is Jamie Oliver. He’s basically been my fave since his Naked Chef days. Now I love his new show on the Cooking Channel. He always tries to use fresh, healthful ingredients (albiet sometimes really expensive). Plus he has a super cute British accent 😉
I LOVE Natalia Rose and all of her work. Her books have literally changed my life and the food is unbelievable.
Not to be corny, but my husband! He knows exactly how I like things prepared, and is seksi to watch! I love a man that can cook.
Dreena Burton!!! Her recipes are nothing short of amazing.
I would have to say Giada and Bobby Flay but I find that vegetarian times is where I get the majority of my recipes from.
My favorite chef is Giada de Laurentiis! I’m obsessed with Italian food and flavors.
Jamie Oliver is my favourite chef!
Totally Jamie Oliver!
I hope you would consider this as “counting” but YOU are my favorite chef! I am a recent college student and after living in the dorms this past year, I tried to seek inspiration in the blog world on how to make simple yet totally healthy meals, and THANK THE LORD, stumbled upon your blog! I think I have made almost every meal you have ever created and you have taught me SO much valuable information about food and nutrition!
Rachel Ray! I can’t help it!!! Her meals are so quick!
I love Guy Fieri!! I know random, but I love the show “Diners, Drive in’s and Dives” and I love that he he just so “out there”!
Matthew Kenney! Love his recipes!
I would have to say Rachel Ray- she’s just so fun!
What an awesome giveaway Gina!
I’m going to have to say that my favourite chef is Rachel Ray. I think she comes up with some really interesting ideas for quick, easy, and (most importantly) tasty meals! Plus she is really fun to watch on TV! 🙂
Mario Batali
Is it embarrassing to say Rachel Ray? Oh well, I love her!
Ina Garten all the way – have you tasted her outrageous brownies?? To die for!!
