Raw-mazing Giveaway
Hey everyone! Hope you’ve had a great day so far <3 Thank you for all of your advice regarding whether I should give running another chance. I’m still thinking it out and want to talk it over with the pilot… so we shall see 😉
So… Bikram is HOT.
(Source)
Not so much Bikram himself –my apologies if you find him seksi, he’s just not my type- but the yoga oven torture chamber. I LOVE the heat and it usually feels amazing, but this morning the air was thick, uncomfortably hot and took a lot of deep breathing to get through the 90 minutes. It was a very, very challenging class.
When it was over, I took my schweaty self to Whole Paycheck and sipped a carrot, apple, beet, ginger juice
and also got hot bar for breakfast.
Plantains, squash and zucchini, shrimp salad, Babylonian Treasure salad, and my beloved vegan miso slaw.
I came back to my aunt’s casa, said my “see ya later”s and got on the road back to Valdizzy.
I’m about to pick up Viesa from the kennel and head to the base gym, but before I go…
a GIVEAWAY from Ani Phyo!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ani while I was at 105degrees– not only is she totally gorgeous, but she’s also kind and personable.
This giveaway is extra exciting because I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this cookbook since last year.
Ani’s Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food
I LOVE Ani’s Phyo’s recipes. They’re simple and many don’t require fancy gadgets, like dehydrators, spiralizers, mandonlines, etc.
Also, they’re DELICIOUS 😀
This cookbook includes 250 recipes and is a perfect uncookbook for beginning chefs and masters of the kitchen.
Recipes include:
- Broccoli-Cheddar Quiche
- Brazil Nut Banana Pancakes
- Pad Thai with Kelp Noodles
- Coconut Cake with Nutella Hazelnut Sauce
- Black Olive and Pesto Pizza
So how can this 250 recipe cookbook be yours?
Leave a comment telling me who your favorite chef is.
The lucky winner will be chosen randomly tomorrow night (6/15) at midnight.
Ready… set… go!
xoxo,
Gina
love me some Jamie Oliver….
I love Giada! I wish I could eat everything she makes and still look like her…
Isa Chandra Moskowitz! She’s too awesome for words 🙂
my favorite “chef” is my grandma. olive garden has nothing on her homemade pasta!
My favorite would be Ina Garten, although I have
so many! She’s just an absolute classic.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Jonna
I really adore Rachel Ray for her accessibility, creativity and ability to make healthy hearty meals with familiar flavors!
hands down – jamie oliver
Even though she’s not technically a chef, I love Hungry Girl’s Lisa Lillien. I read her website daily.
Barefoot Contessa! Ina Garten is the best.
I love Giada!
I’ll say Joel Rubachon, I ate at his restaurant last week and it was amazing!!
My favorite is Jamie Oliver; I love it when he makes recipes healthier, aided by his accent.
I really enjoy Tosca Reno:)
Favorite chef…. probably my mom…. I do like the recipes from Real Simple too, but they are from multiple chefs, I believe. Thank you!!
I am loving Alissa Segersten and Tom Malterre’s recipes in my new cookbook, The Whole Life Nutrition Cookbook. I also love Dreena!!
I like Jamie Oliver…but something about Rachel Ray makes me keep watching her too. She’s pretty down to earth.
I love Giada! so sad she’s not on the air as much anymore. her simple, delicious recipes are a staple in my cooking, or at least were, I’ve been experimenting with some more raw & vegan recipes so this cookbook would be totally inspiring.
Can your favorite chef be yourself?
While I’m not a professional or anything, I love everything about cooking and the creativity and expression it allows me to use.
What is better than using something that we all need to nourish and love ourselves and others? ^^
I’ve been watching Anthony Bourdain’s show a lot lately via netflix instant, and I’m really starting to enjoy him and how he views food and the world. Not sure if he really qualifies as a chef, but he’s my choice regardless!
I like Matthew Kenney
I’d love to have Ani Phyo’s new book– I don’t own any cookbooks or uncookbooks and anything by Ani Phyo is at the top of my wishlist! My favorite chef is my mom. 🙂 She has prepared delicious, nourishing foods for me all my life and has been very supportive of my veganism. Now that I live on my own, I continue to make many of the recipes that I’ve learned from her.
My favorite is Cheri Soria.
I have a few… Jamie Oliver rocks… and not sure if she’s technically a chef, but I have tried quite a few of Katie Lee’s recipes and really like them!
Also like Rachel Ray!
Joshua Ploeg. Awesome vegan chef! I believe he has a few books too!
My mom is the best baker but my husband is my favorite chef. Especially when he lets me pull a bit aside and add a ton of veggies in my portion. But he makes delectable sauces that he barely uses, so I get lots of yummy sauce on my everything. YUM.
My favorite chef is Giada, but I am a HUGE fan of the Cooks Magazine.
I love Ina Garten!
I have to say that my grandmother was probably my favorite – she made just a few things but they were always fresh and amazing! My favorite chefs to watch on tv, though, are the Neelys. They really seem to love each other – and I like to see that kind of love and respect for your spouse on tv.
I’m gonna go with Bethenny Frankel because, as you know if you secretly watch RHWNY (ya, I’ve watched long enough to have the familiarity that comes with abbreviation), she is a CHEF and she went to culinary school….ok, kelly? got it?
Tosca Reno!
The latest cookbook I bought was one of Ellie Krieger’s and I love the simple recipes with fresh ingredients. I have tried several of the recipes and all have been a success>
Hi Gina..great giveaway..
fav chef: Jamie Oliver for his style and big heart:)
My favorite chef is my Dad. He is amazing.
My fav chef is Giada DeLaurentis.
I think my favorite chef would have to be Nigella Lawson. I want her to adopt me so she can be my British mother. I just love her style.
I love Giada!!
My favorite cook book is Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics! Best recipes for gatherings with family and friends!
oh too fun!
my favorite chef is actually my good friend Molly Peck. She runs THE VANILLA ORCHID here in Austin. She has amazing gluten free/raw/vegan/ and wholesome food. SHe’s a genius!
My favorite chef is my brother-in-law. My favorite TV personality/chef is Ina Garten.
My own mom!!!
LOL at that pic of Bikram, hehe
My fave chef is Alton Brown 🙂 Love Dreena too though.
Right now I am loving Madhur Jaffrey’s recipes. I’m also fond of Bittman, Moskowitz, and the Moosewood peeps.
I love tyler florence, I have always had a crush on him.
and I saw that cookbook the other day in borders and was intrigued by it!
I love Masaharu Morimoto from Iron Chef. His skill is just incredible! Every time I see him cook I’m reminded of how much I miss the OLD Iron Chef.
My favorite chef is Nathan Lyon. Healthy and delicious. His recipes I mean. 😉
Hmmm. Can I choose myself? How’s that for confidence? 😉 I’m not saying I’m the best, but I get the most satisfaction out of eating things that I make myself!!
Before last week I would have said Ina Garten. Now that I have started eating clean, my favorite chefs/cooks are the people embracing a healthier lifestyle, and posting their recipes…I am soaking up recipes and information like a sponge!
I’d have to say that my favorite chef is Rachel Ray, but I also love the Tosca Rena books.
mattew kenney!!!! I totally loved his book ‘everyday raw’ and would be very glad to win this one 🙂
I could watch Alton Brown all day. He’s funny and he can make any food interesting and delicious!
