SSU 2013 Giveaway: Stitch Fix- ENDED

Thank you so much for the amazing response to the first workout! I’m so happy you’re enjoying it 🙂 I did workout 1 for the first time a few weeks ago and it killed me in the best way possible. Hope you feel the same way. If you’re just finding out about Summer Shape Up, no worries, it is never too late to sign up! Check out the intro post here, and then leave a comment in any post being sure to click the box to sign up for my newsletter. The password for the first week’s workout and meal ideas will be emailed to you automatically after you sign up. 🙂

When I first started my weight loss journey, I quickly realized that it was not worth it to spend money on clothes during that time. I’d go buy an outfit for work, and it would be too big before I could wear it. It may seem like a “problem that’s not really a problem,” but clothes can be costly, and it’s a waste if you don’t get to wear them. I halted the clothing purchases since I knew my size would be temporary until I reached a healthier weight. Since then, I’ve always told my training clients to minimize clothing expenses while we’re working together, and instead to use a clothes shopping spree as an awesome reward when they hit their goal.

Many of you will hit new fitness goals with the Summer Shape Up. Even if the scale doesn’t budge -muscle is more dense than fat, so you could technically weigh the same and have a lower body fat percentage- your clothes could fit you differently. Maybe you just hit a fitness goal and want to celebrate, or could use a bit of a closet overhaul.

I’d like to share my Stitch Fix credit with a few lucky winners as the first Shape Up giveaway.

Stitchfix

I have a credit with Stitch Fix from referring people to the brand over the past 6 months or so. At first, I thought it would be cool to get a discount on what I purchase from them since I love my monthly Stitch Fix box, and the credit continued to grow. I was trying to think of a good way to use it and quickly thought of the perfect solution: give back to YOU, since you’re the reason why I have a credit with them in the first place.

I emailed Stitch Fix to see if it would be possible to do a giveaway and they more than happy to help me set it up.

Today’s giveaway is $3500 of Stitch Fix credit: $500 each to seven lucky winners. That’s a lot of new clothes!

I’m excited to try the first workout. I just signed up to run Imogene, so I need to figure out how to mix in strength/cross training with my running/hiking.

Scrubs aren’t exactly fashionable out of the hospital but since they and workout clothes are most commonly worn, I could use some new “fashionable” pieces in my closet 🙂

  20. Alicia on June 3, 2013 at 1:55 pm

Wow! Amazing giveaway!!!! I would love stitch fix because I somehow cannot seem to buy pieces that work with each other? Or I end up buying the same style and have nothing exciting to wear when I need it. I’ve done half of workout one so far, HIIT on the track with my bestie!! <3

  21. Tricia on June 3, 2013 at 1:56 pm

I love stitch fix but I find it is a little pricey for me so I would love to win the $500. And your workout was great today. Finished it off with a 90 minutes of doubles tennis.

  27. Amy on June 3, 2013 at 2:02 pm

I had twins 14 months ago and I am ready for some new clothes that are no longer stretched out pre/post pregnancy. I also am excited to dedicate some “me” time and get my body back in shape!

  28. Sami on June 3, 2013 at 2:02 pm

I’d love to win this giveaway, because I’m SO proud of what the summer shape-up has been helping me with! I am GAINING muscle in my arms, legs, and back. A lot of my shirts and pants are tight (due to the muscle gain), so I need help “rebuilding” my summer wardrobe! I used to be a total cardio junkie, not realizing that my body needs BALANCE (strength training, yoga, etc). I feel so much better about my workouts now, and I’m proud of the muscle I’m working on! <3
    xo.

  29. Kerry on June 3, 2013 at 2:02 pm

I like the first workout! I absolutely loved the Winter Shape Up and hope that the workouts for the summer are just as challenging and enjoyable!

  37. Ashley on June 3, 2013 at 2:06 pm

I would love to win because I have been following along with your stitch fix journey and it has looked so exciting and fun! Also, I have a hard time picking out clothes out of my comfort zone and am a college student, so the credits would be much appreciated! 🙂 I am about to do the first workout soon, I am so excited! Thanks again for giving people free workouts and your credits for stitch fix. You are such an awesome person!

  38. AmyC on June 3, 2013 at 2:06 pm

OMG I need some clothes in the worst way! Love the dance channel too!

  39. kathy on June 3, 2013 at 2:07 pm

I loved the first workout this morning. At first I thought the 10 tricep dips would be easy, but after those plank knee tucks on the chair and doing that 3 times, my triceps were sure feeling it. Thanks so much for doing this. I really need a challenge. I have been trying for a long time to lose this last 10 lbs and get rid of this belly fat. I am praying this kick in the butt will get me going.
    Thanks, Kathy

  40. Sarah S on June 3, 2013 at 2:07 pm

As a recent graduate student with an upcoming wedding, I can’t remember the last time I purchased something new for myself. My clothes don’t fit the greatest and it would be wonderful to have some items that make me feel attractive!

  41. Minerva on June 3, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Wow! I really love stitchfix. I could use the extra stitchcash because I always fall in love with items outside of my price range and have to bid them farewell back to stitchfix…

I could really use some well made staples in my wardrobe. 🙂

  42. Sarah on June 3, 2013 at 2:07 pm

I loved the banana move! I definitely felt it 🙂

  43. Christina Recine on June 3, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Loved the first workout… Doing weighted squats right into squat jumps made me scream a little but in the best possible way!

  44. Caitlin on June 3, 2013 at 2:08 pm

I would love new teacher clothes! With style!!

  45. Stacey on June 3, 2013 at 2:09 pm

I would love to win! In order to save money I have cut back on my shopping for non essential items this year. It’s been good for my bank account, but very boring for my closet!

  46. Caitie on June 3, 2013 at 2:09 pm

I am in recovery from an eating disorder and actually *gained* a healthy 20 pounds and am now working on building healthy muscle. Since I had purchased some clothes when I was at a very low weight, they no longer fit (even though I still think they’re cute!)

I get a little sad when I think about the cute clothes that no longer fit me but I continually remind myself how far I’ve come.

I’ve given the clothes away to goodwill and would love to try Stitchfix to get some new staples in my wardrobe again!

It’s really thoughtful of you to share your credit. 🙂

  47. Meghan on June 3, 2013 at 2:10 pm

I love stitch fix almost as much as I loved today’s workout. Would love the credit to share with my five am workout partner. We are both busy mommas so we have to rise early to fit it in. We did summer shape up last year and loved it.
    Meghan

  48. Dee on June 3, 2013 at 2:10 pm

Oh yes, this is where I am right now with my wardrobe. And yes, it can be very expensive, so a credit from Stitch Fix would be awesome! I’m even having to sell my lululemon 🙁

  49. heather on June 3, 2013 at 2:11 pm

What an amazing giveaway! I’m doing the first workout tonight, it looks like a killer!

  50. Kate Waterbury on June 3, 2013 at 2:12 pm

I would love to try StitchFix! I’ve seen it before, but it was one of those “maybe someday” dreams. It would be fun to be able to reward myself NOW for all my hard work!
