Have a great night and I’ll see ya in the morning!

What little things are making you smile today?

Goodness! That is how we roll as military spouses! Always ready to move wherever even during deployments. It really makes you appreciate the little things in life. Honestly, my home has become wherever my family is (hubs and dog). Good luck with everything.

Smile moment: watching my puppy sleep peacefully, then he lets out the worst fart ever while remaining asleep. That little amazes me everyday! haha

  4. Brittany (Eating Bird Food) on November 30, 2010 at 5:31 pm

  11. Erin on November 30, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Congratulations on your decision (and your other reasons to smile!)! I always find the way you approach both the good and the difficult so very inspiring 😉

I remember seeing a few books that you were reading on the law of attraction (I think?), and creating your destiny and that type of thing, and i was wondering if you had any favorites that you might recommend, or if not, maybe a reader’s request type of post on the non-fiction books that help you stay focused and positive? I could use a little help!

  12. Jessica @ How Sweet It Is on November 30, 2010 at 6:15 pm

I saw in the comments you’re moving to AZ, though I’m not sure if that’s right or not. I hope no matter where you’re going you’ll be as happy as can be! Sounds like you know what you want and are picking the right thing for YOU. Good job!

  15. Kate on November 30, 2010 at 6:42 pm

If this is the best choice for you then I say go for it. I am sure this is a stressful time for you. I hope it goes as smoothly as possible!

I look to you for strength. We are in the process of building a house and have moved in with my parents. This is hard enough but seeing all of the change and adjustments you have to make makes me realize how I really have no place to complain. You are such an inspiration girl! Good luck with everything!

  29. Sarra on November 30, 2010 at 8:56 pm

Out of curiosity: why do you turn down company product offers?

  30. Michele @ Healthy Cultivations on November 30, 2010 at 9:41 pm

The little things make me happy too! A Brief List: SBUX soy peppermint mocha, snow, my cat playing like a wild animal with her little catnip duck, and crossing things off my To Do List

  31. Jessica @ Jessica Balances on November 30, 2010 at 9:58 pm

You are moving again?! No way! I thought you were really enjoying Orlando, but I guess no one can really know the whole picture from a blog. Can’t wait to learn where you’re going, although I suspect it’s AZ to be with your fam! 🙂 either way – go you for doing what is right for YOU!

  32. Melissa (MelissaLikesToEat) on November 30, 2010 at 10:04 pm

Good luck with the next move! You are a moving Pro!!! 😉

  34. Suzanne on November 30, 2010 at 10:43 pm

I smiled today when my friend forwarded this to me:
    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/28/dining/28flavor.html

Have you EVER? wtf?! I have never heard of this! And I’m an avid devourer of food blogs and food culture? Please read (it’s really short) and comment. I would super love to hear your thoughts/if you or anyone you know has experience with this fruit.

One little thing that always makes me smile is the Dinner Party Download on NPR. great program; I think you’d really enjoy it, because it’s smart, funny, and awesome, aka three adjective that describe the Fitnessista

  35. Jennifer @ nutmegger on November 30, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I smiled when I got my butt out of bed and did Bridal Bootcamp week 3 in my hotel this morning! I usually don’t get motivated to do my own yoga[type] moves but whoa this was hard — thanks 🙂 there I go smiling again haha

    • Fitnessista on December 1, 2010 at 9:51 am

whoo hoo!! i’m so happy you liked it 🙂

  36. Michelle @ Give Me the Almond Butter on November 30, 2010 at 11:16 pm

    Gina,
You are such an inspiration. Taking control of your own happiness and finding it in the most simplest of things. Good for you!

  37. Ashley @ the fit academic on November 30, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Amazing – it’s inspiring how you have such a positive attitude! Makes me want to be more positive in my life, too! Good luck with the move ~ can’t wait for the update!

I still have to try dance trance!!!! Looks so fun! I hope the move goes smoothly!!

  39. Tyler on December 1, 2010 at 12:06 am

Today is my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. That makes me smile!

I’m glad you are taking care of YOU. Military life throws so many curveballs. If I didn’t have family and make the decision to move with them while my love is away, I would be miserable. And stuck in a bunch of snow ;).

  40. megan B on December 1, 2010 at 1:18 am

Good for you taking control of your happiness- I’m a mil spouse too and the husband is on a month long TDY now. It’s all about doing what makes you happy and surrounding yourself with the best people and environment for you, hopefully where there are lots of great women to eat chocolate, drink wine and talk for hours with (this is what I’m doing to make life better without my husband).

Happiness: Watching my cat tackle the Christmas tree, then get her head stuck in a shopping bag. Best moments ever!

  41. mi-an dela cruz on December 1, 2010 at 1:46 am

My heart was bursting with happiness today!!! I mean, I probably felt a tad bit of heaven inside of my heart. As i said, it was my bday today and I just had one of the best days ever. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by my loved ones. 🙂

  42. mi-an dela cruz on December 1, 2010 at 1:49 am

P.S. I got wunder unders today!! wow they are ohh-thumb!! 🙂 very versatile pants too! i love versatile things! i’m gonna see if i can rock them out in the city also!!

  43. Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin on December 1, 2010 at 7:35 am

Glad to hear you’re doing what’s going to make you happiest! 🙂 I’m curious about where you’re moving to though!

Little things that make me smile lately is Christmas music, chatting with my sister, and candy cane tea!

  44. CaSaundra on December 1, 2010 at 8:13 am

Even though I always order all my books online because they’re cheaper, I still love sitting and taking in the atmosphere of Barnes and Noble!

  45. Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) on December 1, 2010 at 8:15 am

So glad you’re happy 🙂 Good luck with the move!!

    xo

  46. Tina on December 1, 2010 at 8:16 am

What a supportive, understanding wife you are! The pilot is very lucky!
Yes, being surrounded by books does make me feel smarter ;). And although I am not a coffee drinker, I really love the smell when you walk into a coffee shop.
Little things always make me happy too, I guess in the child in us! Kids always seem to find happiness from the most mundane things that most adults overlook. So its good to see things from a child’s eyes 🙂

  47. LisaG on December 1, 2010 at 8:24 am

My dogs always make me smile; they are usually always happy. I hope your move goes well and you get your groove back!

  48. Erin Hayes on December 1, 2010 at 9:04 am

Viesa!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore that furry face!!
Can’t wait to hear your next adventure…you are truly an example of someone who makes her own happiness…no sense letting circumstances (whatever they may be) keep you down. I really learn a lot from you!

My reason to smile this morning was a call from my sweet boyfriend (who’s off flying around) 🙂

PS, yes, being surrounded by books makes me feel smarter and gives me focus…I love bn’s!!

  49. allison @ livingoneday on December 1, 2010 at 9:20 am

cant wait to hear about your next adventure!

  50. Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat on December 1, 2010 at 9:33 am

Ooh excited to hear about where you’re going! You amaze me with your ability to adapt to new situations so quickly Gina. You’re awesome! Little things that made me smile yesterday were the dinner I made which turned out to be delicious, getting to sit and chat with one of my friends and receiving an email from my mum.
