On days when I have good balance, dancer is my favorite pose. It brings back childhood memories of dance classes. When I’m having an off day, I prefer more grounded poses like spinal stretch or a simple table pose.

I’m pretty new to yoga, I just started practicing in February after about 10 years of only “hard core” work outs. Running, spinning, boot camp, etc. I always believed that yoga would be boring and that I wouldn’t feel like it was a work out. Boy, was I wrong! Not only have I been super duper sore after practicing, but I also learned that the mental and spiritual benefits of yoga are worth every second spent on the mat. I love shoulder stand and crow pose. I;m working my way toward getting the hang of some more complex ones! Now that it’s summer here in the Midwest, I’d love to ride my bike to yoga class, so I’ve been in the market for a bag!
