4.4 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Itโ€™s our performance of Carmina Burana with the symphony – I canโ€™t wait!! – and Liv also has a dance competition. In between that, the weather is supposed to be a lil chilly (for Tucson) so Iโ€™m hoping for a low-key and cozy Saturday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.

I mentioned a while ago that weโ€™ve been *in it* over here for quite a while. The solution for now has been to withdraw P from school and start homeschooling on Monday to finish out the year. I can definitely post more about our homeschool journey if you guys are interested and I can share a little bit more about what lead us to this decision. Iโ€™m totally new to this world, and weโ€™re not intending to do it permanently (maybe just until 5th grade), but Iโ€™m looking forward to this new chapter. I also feel like Iโ€™ll get to enjoy more time with P which is special because these kiddos really do grow SO dang quickly.

Well, Itโ€™s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโ€™re loving in the comments section below.

Fashion + beauty + random:

Bailey and McKenzieโ€™s wedding! They got married last week and had the most beautiful ceremony and reception at Stillwell House. Her dress was absolutley breathtaking (the back was sheer with embroidered flowers), they had an arch with hundreds of roses, and the speeches were so heartfelt and lovely.

It was an unplugged ceremony but I got a couple of pics during the reception.

Special touches:

It was so much fun to celebrate this occasion with the fam.

New Rails dress! I ordered it and had a feeling that it would become a summer staple, and Iโ€™m obsessed with it. The stitching and quality are so good. Link is here.

Also grabbed this cute top from Anthro.

OneSkin restock. Iโ€™m still using Oneskin and itโ€™s one of my favorite lines ever for body lotion – seriously the best lotion youโ€™ll ever try – and tinted SPF moisturizer. I use this and top it with this for extra coverage. You can check it out here and use FITNESSISTA15 for 15% off.

Read, watch, listen:

I was in a little bit of a funk with audiobooks lately, but queen Ina saved the day. LOVING this.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

New 2-week health and fitness challenge is coming! We start the fun on April 21. Iโ€™ll share the details and how to sign up next week! Make sure youโ€™re on my newsletter to get the info first.

Making these for dinner next week.

More reasons to sneak in just a little bit of exercise.

My new prescription Vivarays. Iโ€™ll do a full post soon about blue light blocking glasses, but many of the ones in stores arenโ€™t effective at filtering the proper sources of light during the day and evening. I went down a major rabbit hole so you donโ€™t have to, and did a ton of research, and knew that Vivarays was the brand I wanted to get for myself.

These 4-in-1 glasses are optimal for daytime, indoors, evening, and before bed, using simple magnetic clip-on lenses for each portion of the day. The best part? THEY OFFER Rx LENSES so I was able to get glasses with my new prescription!

You can check them out here and use the code FITNESSISTA.

You need this tart in your life.

Just for fun: a pic of Maisey when she was an itty bitty baby. It’s almost her birthday!

I would love to hear more about your decision to homeschool and how it’s going for you guys but only if you want to share of course!!
