6.7 Friday Faves and Gratitude Giveaway

Hi friends! the weekend is heeeeeere! What do you have going on? Itโ€™s Livโ€™s dance recital and then dance season is officially over, and other than that, weโ€™ll just be swimming and chilling with friends. I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!

6.7 Friday Faves and Gratitude Giveaway

(Loving all of this extra time with the crew)

Itโ€™s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโ€™re loving in the comments section below.

Read, watch, listen:

LOVING this book so far.ย

I started watching Queen Charlotte again on the plane home, and itโ€™s even better the second time around.

This made me lol (also the husband is so sweet)

What are your childlike habits?

Fashion, home, + beauty:

Farm Rio is one of my favorite brands right now. Iโ€™ve been stocking up for our Hawaii trip ๐Ÿ™‚ Hereโ€™s one I added to the collection lately!

If you havenโ€™t tried the honey enzyme face mask yet, it is so good. I love the texture and a little goes a long way. I feel like itโ€™s a very gentle, nourishing mask that I like to do 1-2 times a week, and then follow it up with my red light face mask.

Goodies from Creative Kind. This is my favorite local store and they were essentially forced out of their lease and have to close their brick and mortar location. This has been my go-to spot for birthday and hostess gifts for friends, local Tucson candles, and the best greeting cards. Their online shop is still open if youโ€™d like to check it out!

Garden update! When my eyes went wacky last year, I stopped gardening and basically let everything die. I was too scared to be out in the wild and soil a lot, and feeling pretty down about everything. This year, the Pilot planted everything for me (I think Iโ€™m allergic to something in the soil because whenever I plant, even if I wear gloves, I get a rash), and also installed irrigation to help with the Tucson sun. Itโ€™s THRIVING. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s on the way: tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe, chard, spinach, zucchini, and basil.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

Grilling and Traeger season is here and weโ€™re living it up. I smoked these chicken legs on the grill the other night and they were amazing. Itโ€™s funny that I used to be scared to grill and smoke things, and now, Iโ€™ll do it whenever I can. It makes cleanup so much easier.

Danger Coffee (stay tuned ; I’ll have a discount code soon for ya!) Got the decaf at the Biohacking Conference and itโ€™s mild and smooth. A million times better than the gross decaf Nespresso I was drinking, plus this is tested to be mold-free.

Im excited about a LOT…but mostly, summer schedule (no school for kids, and we are both teachers so the whole family is together all summer), continuing on my health journey (16 lbs down so far!), and summer vacation to the mountains of new hampshire (santas village is the BEST).

On a more stressful note, im also really looking forward to the district i teach in to decide which teachers are getting recalled, bc the threat of losing my position is pretty horrifying, so im saying all the prayers

I am excited for a few things: training for a half marathon with my bestie, the ability to rearrange my work schedule so I can spend one day a week with my little one, the sun being out longer, bike rides with my girls, and most of all going on a week vacation to our favorite place in the world (Wells Maine). Thanks for making me take a moment to think about all the fun things these next couple of months have to hold. We are in the middle of all the end of the year craziness and though it is fun the mental exhaustion is at max!
