Start of the Fest
Hi friends! Iโm here safe and sound in San Francisco Loved reading about your random purse finds in between traveling!
HOLY hills!
and holy shoppingโฆ
Our hotel is right in the middle of a shopping mecca. Iโm like a little kid at Disneyland
The flights were pretty uneventful. In the first one, I used the middle seat as a cushion for my head since no one was sitting there and curled into a Gina ball, and slumbered, mouth wide open for 3 hours. Seksi, haha.
Then for my second flight from Denver to San Fran, I plane partied with these girls:
Ashley, Laura, Kath and Emily!
We chatted about life, the shenanigans that will be going down this weekend, and boots On the plane, I sat next to two moms who are taking a girls weekend together. Their kids are off in college and they thought theyโd leave their husbands in charge and take a trip. They were so much fun and we traded trashy celeb magazines
Now here we are in San Fran! Adventure time.
Food time.
See you soon!
xoxo,
Gina
Any must-sees for this weekend? When was the last time you visited California?
You’re my must-see!!! ๐
aww i can’t wait to see you, too friend!!!
I live in San Francisco! ๐ Head out to Crissy Field for some good Golden Gate Bridge views and a lovely walk along the path that hugs the ocean. It’s also close to the Marina District, which I second that you would probably like for it’s shops
Also, I second the Cafe Gratitude recommendations, if you can make it over to the Mission District (probably a cab ride). Also, Flour and Water was voted THE best restaurant in San Francisco this year (also in the Mission and close to Cafe Grat.). It has a bit of a wait — in fact a few months ago Steve Jobs (you know, CEO/Founder of Apple!!) was turned away, or rather told he could wait in the bar for a table just like everyone else. Pretty amusing posts on the SF blogs that day ๐
I live here, but not near SF. I have visited there a few times and LOVE it (my little brother lives there too)!! So many cool things in such a SMALL area. Last time I was there I was on my way to dinner and I saw 1) blue bottle coffee (still need to try this!) & 2)a shop with ALL kinds of olive oils and (I think) vinegars. It was closed though :l and I was leaving the next morning with no time to stop by. Wish I knew more about where it is and what it’s called, but I know it’s by the slanted door and looked pretty cool from what I saw ๐ -M
I LIVE in the BAY AREA!!! since I was 12! but i’ve been away the past 5 yrs but always managed to come home to my fam. I’m here right now…loving it but also missing nYC. ๐
I used to work at a hospital in SF called CPMC. LOVED that area…close to fillmore. lots of cool shops there. def check out farmer’s market at ferry bldng as others have said. if u have time go across Golden Gate bridge and see the city from the other side. have KARA’s CUPCAKES so so good! all natural ingredients. and have some south indian food (dosa) at this restaurant called DOSA on fillmore. it’s amazing!! there’s a raw restaurant in SF called Cafe’ Gratitude, actually haven’t checked it out but been meaning to. would totally have been awesome to meet you!!! but there’s always next time… ๐ as you know, i’ll be in NY this weekend. what a timing! ๐
Welcome to my city! The weather is beautiful isnt it? Check out: Chrissy Field, The presido, pier 7 at the embaracadero, and coit tower if you have time! Or head up california street in a cable car and check out the Grace Cathedral! BEAUTIFUL!

๐ ENJOY!
Take a trolley! I also loved Alkatraz.
All that shopping so close by could be dangerous! ๐ I would have such a hard time keeping my wallet tucked away. Have an awesome time!!
I think one of your ‘must sees’ should be to find the Full House house!! Looks like you girls are having a great time so far. I’ve never been to Cali but I want to be at Foodbuzz next year!
Eat at Millennium! IT IS SO DELICIOUS! Welcome to my HOOD. ๐
