Friday Faves 7.14
Hi friends! Happy Friday! How are you? I hope youโre enjoying the morning so far. Today, Iโm off to a barre class and then meeting up with a friend for lunch to talk about some exciting upcoming plans. What are you up this weekend? Weโre having friends over for sushi night, and Iโm going to start ordering the kidsโ uniforms and supplies for back to school. I canโt believe itโs less than a month away and wish it could just be summer forever. Iโm definitely enjoying the slower pace. I hope you have a fun and wonderful weekend ahead!
Itโs time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโre loving in the comments section below.
Exciting news:
I finished IHP Level 2! WAHOO! While it took me a long time to finish – I really wanted to learn and absorb as much as possible, and didnโt take the course to simply pass the tests – it was so worth it, and Iโm honestly a little sad that itโs over. It was over 100 hours of learning, and Iโm so pumped for this new certification and the ability to offer functional labs for my 1:1 clients (and also in the new group coaching program Iโm working on creating). If youโre interested in learning more, send me an email at gina@fitnessista.com with the subject COACHING and I can share the different options with you.
If youโre interested in exploring a new career or if you want to take your current fitness or wellness practice to the next level, I canโt say enough great things about IHP. You can check out the details here, and if you use the code FITNESSISTA, you can get up to $250 off levels 1 and 2.
Celebratory dinner at Vivace:
Fashion + beauty:
Liv and I each got dresses fromย Luisa Positanoย and theyโre our favorite dresses right now. Theyโre 100% linen, made in Italy, and they have the most gorgeous prints and patterns.
(Liv is wearing hers in the pic above!)
The leather purses in Rome are also amazing. Liv and I each picked one out from a little store in Rome. (Donโt worry, P definitely got her share of Italy souvenirs.)
This one is the perfect size and I picked a printed strap:
I also have to tell you about this set! In a Facebook group, the girls were all raving aboutย this Free People dupe.ย I decided to order one and try it out and I loooove it. The quality is excellent and itโs super similar to the original version at a fraction of the cost. The link is here.ย

What are we thinking about the new Wonka movie?
Phoenix is getting a Barrio Bread! Get ready for the best bread of your liiiives.
I saw Sound of Freedom earlier this week with a Bible study friend, and it was incredibly powerful and well done. Itโs obviously a tough subject, but I feel like it was navigated well, and highly recommend it.ย ย
Fitness + good eats:
Weโve been doing a community detox this week and I forgot how great it feels. I ended up doing a modified version – didnโt want to add any extra stress with the eye situation- but Iโve been sleeping well, have energy, and am rekindling my love for vegetables lol.
The teriyaki meatballs from the Rachelโs Good Eats cookbook were an A+. The kids loved them, too.
Spiced zucchini carrot bread.ย Canโt wait to try this.
Go-to boba tea order: rose milk tea with almond milk and original boba. YUM.
Happy Friday, friends! Whatโs something youโre loving this week??
