A Glam Surprise + Spiralizer giveaway

Hi guys 🙂 How are ya? I’m so glad ya’ll liked the post on stress management this morning <3 It is really easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed (especially when you’re plate is full), but it’s comforting to know there are many things you can do to fight it!

Fun news: my little blog was featured once more on the fabulous Glamour Vitamin G blog today! It was a lovely surprise- thank you, Sarah! 🙂 (*Waves hi* to the Glam-azing new readers!!)

Today has been pretty chill – I hit up the gym for a little treadmill sesh and then my cousin and I hit up the mall.

mall

I did some damage –it’s rare that I get to go to an actual mall (Valdosta’s is very sad… unless you need a leather jacket with a cartoon character on it, then you’re in luck), so I lived it up 😉

Snacked on a Larabar whilst helping my cousin find a prom dress:

larabar

Some other recent eats:

Take-out from Cedar (a Cedar salad with lots of veggies, mint vinaigrette and a side of beautiful hummus)

salad and hummus

About a thousand unpictured mini Dove dark chocolate eggs 😉

Smoothie (cherries, banana, protein, maca, chia seeds and almond milk)

smoothie

(Some of ya’ll have asked if I brought the Vitamix to Orlando.. of course I did! Sings: “I can’t liiiiiiiiive… if living is without the Vitamix. I can’t LIIIIIIIVE…”. Ok, I can live, but it certainly makes life easier)

Millet bread with almond butter, cinnamon and nanner (with mocha macchiato-flavored coffee)

 bfast

Lurve.

I’m excited because tonight I’m meeting Ashley and Ryan for tea and a power yoga class- be back with the recap in the morning 🙂

Have a wonderful night!

xoxo,

G$

hey gina I’m a long time reader (the fact I really like your blog goes w/o saying here! :D)and actually wantedto comment on your previous post! Did you major in accounting in college? What made you not decide to follow a career in accountancy and instead, focus on health? I hope this question isn’t too straight forward!

btw, there are a few rude people who flat with me, your site is on my favorites and they MAY have posted rude stuff in the past (the house has a shared computer)

    • Fitnessista on April 5, 2010 at 10:25 pm

      hey girl,
i have a degree in finance and actually had to turn down a position with a fortune 5 company because i got married to the pilot and had to move. love always wins 🙂
in valdosta, i couldn’t get a finance job because it’s a small town (and everyone knows each other- it’s a good ol’ boy network), so after working as a department store manager and hating every minute, i quit and got certified to train in the meantime.
i would like to try and work in finance at the next base we’re stationed at, but it depends on how long we’ll be there/ the kid situation/ stuff like that 🙂

  33. anna on April 5, 2010 at 8:06 pm

so I apologise IF they have! 🙂

  34. Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin on April 5, 2010 at 8:14 pm

Oh, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me win one! A healthy eating college student would be so gratified to not have to resort to the dining hall anymore!

  46. Katherine on April 5, 2010 at 10:45 pm

Question: what is great about millet bread? I looked at it in stores after seeing you eat it and (not to be a label skank) it just doesn’t seem to stack up nutritionally to other options in terms of fiber/protein per calorie compared to other breads.
    Thanks! Katherine

    • Fitnessista on April 5, 2010 at 11:07 pm

it tastes really, REALLY good. it’s gluten-free, no added sugar and whole grain too, which is awesome 🙂

  47. Erica on April 5, 2010 at 11:16 pm

I don’t even know what a spiralizer is. But I’d like one!!!
