Hey everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY!

I’ve got a seriously amazing giveaway to kick off the weekend….

Remember this cookbook that I got (and have been experimenting with a little this week)??

011

I talked to Sarma, founder of One Lucky Duck and co-founder Pure Food and Wine, and she has graciously offered a Fitnessista reader a signed copy of her new cookbook!!!

This cookbook is outta control amazing. The recipes are easy to follow, don’t require a ton of obscure ingredients or fancy schmancy equipment and demonstrate that raw food doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful and delicious. It also includes a boatload of information on nutrition and the raw lifestyle, yet reads like an email from a good friend. I read the book in it’s entirety within 2 days.

It’s also a feast for the eyes with stunning photos…

Recipes for juices….

013

Salads, soups, snacks and impressive entrees….

014

Cocktails and desserts….

015

Are ya sold yet??? 😀

Here’s how you can get 2 chances to win this beautiful cookbook:

  1. Leave a comment stating why you’d like to win this cookbook and/or what you’d like to make first if you win
  2. Link back to this post on your blog and send me an email (fitnessista at gmail dot com) with the link to your post. If you don’t have a blog, no worries, just send me an email and I’ll get your extra entry in

I’ll post the winner at 8am EST on Monday, July 13th

***************EDITED TO SAY: This giveaway has ended as of 7/13/09 0800.

See ya after lunch and work 😉

xoxo,

G

I would love to win this cookbook because I'm trying to add more raw food to my diet. I'm dying to find a great raw breakfast- that's what I'd try first!

  2. Gina on July 10, 2009 at 4:17 pm

I would love to win the cookbook. I'm trying to eat more unprocessed fresh foods and I'm always looking for new ideas. I would love to try that chia pudding that you have been raving about!

  3. Johanna B on July 10, 2009 at 4:31 pm

I would love to win this cookbook. I have two raw food books and they are both rather complicated and you need dehydrators and stuff. Less complicated sounds lovely. I think I would try a salad first. I'm starting to love vegetable salads.

  4. Colleen on July 10, 2009 at 4:36 pm

Dessert baby!! Mmmm looks yummy 🙂

  5. Healthy Beach Bum on July 10, 2009 at 4:39 pm

I am so curious about the whole "raw food" concept, that I'd love an easy-to-read cookbook to get started! 🙂

Um, I would make dessert first…of course!! 🙂

  8. Andrea of Care to Eat on July 10, 2009 at 5:09 pm

Hi. Wasn't I just saying in my post yesterday that I wanted to start introducing more raw foods? So, if there's anyway I can be "randomly" chosen to receive this book, it would be most appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Andrea
p.s. – I would try anything that didn't have dates in it. I've already tried a bunch of raw date stuff, so I want to do something new!

  9. JW on July 10, 2009 at 5:19 pm

OH I'd love to win!! I am interested in learning more about raw foods and also juicing!

  10. Kim M. (kimberlymerryman@gmail.com) on July 10, 2009 at 5:37 pm

This is so exciting! Since I started reading your blog a few months ago, I've become very interested eating raw, but didn't really know where to start. This cookbook would be a great start! I don't know for sure, but I think I'd start that vanilla chia pudding you made. It looks delicious and like an approachable start to raw food. Thanks!

  11. Mary on July 10, 2009 at 5:39 pm

I just found your blog and really enjoy seeing your food creations!

I would love to win this cookbook. I have just started reading about eating raw and am trying to incorporate more raw into my every day life.

First thing I would try is an entree. I think that is the hardest part of a meal to do raw.

  12. healthyfitmama on July 10, 2009 at 5:43 pm

I love trying new recipes and I've never made a raw meal before. It would be fun to try!

  13. Annalisa on July 10, 2009 at 6:08 pm

I would like to get an idea for raw meals aside from salads and this seems like a great way! Thanks for the give away!

  14. kate on July 10, 2009 at 6:15 pm

I am just delving into the raw food world, thanks in large part to your blog, and I am loving it! I have loved everything I've made from Natalia Rose's books and I would love to try some new raw food recipes. This is an amazing giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity!

  19. Angie (Losing It and Loving It) on July 10, 2009 at 7:27 pm

I think this would be a cool book to have because I am pretty clueless when it comes to eating raw although I wouldn't mind giving some things a try. Dessert and lunch ideas intrigue me the most.

  20. plentifulplants on July 10, 2009 at 7:33 pm

I've recently fallen in love with all of S&M's (hehehe) cookbooks and after browsing through this one at the book store last week, would LOVE to have my own copy. It's just too bad they've decided to markup up the price by a silly amount here in Canada. The exchange rate definitely doesn't translate to $50!

  21. Averie on July 10, 2009 at 7:42 pm

I would love the book and would make an entree. Not a dessert, but something for dinner to feed my family that is raw and awesome!

  22. The Faux Foodie on July 10, 2009 at 7:43 pm

I would love to win this book as I am trying to venture out to cleaner eating and would like to try vegan diets once a week and this book looks amazing.

  23. MJ on July 10, 2009 at 7:48 pm

I'd love to win the cookbook – I've read about it on your blog and on ELR' (Jenna's blog) and I've even checked out the One Lucky Duck site….but I haven't yet gotten up the courage to try eating raw, and I'm not much of a cook, so I need all the help I can get!

What would I make first – vanilla chai pudding or some other dessert!

  24. Lexie on July 10, 2009 at 7:48 pm

I need a new cookbook bad!

  39. Erin on July 10, 2009 at 10:06 pm

I would LOOOOVE to win this cookbook! Actually, it would be for my grandmother, who has recently become interested in raw foods after some health scares. She even bought an Excalibur dehydrator, and I don't even have one yet! I ordered her some raw treats from One Lucky Duck, and she's obsessed! I'm sure she'd make some raw treats first. 🙂

  40. Mrs. LC on July 10, 2009 at 10:09 pm
