Blogiversary Giveaway

Hey guys! Thank you so much for the wonderful blogiversary wishes <3 You all make this such an awesome environment with your positive energy, comments and discussions <3 <3 <3 I have so much love, appreciation and respect for all of you.

This morning, after eating my blogiversary macaroon, I had a chocolate cherry bomb.

choc cherry

I thought the day might come when I would get sick of these things.. but it hasn’t happened yet. It’s too delicious for words 😉

Cool news: Open Sky added the Glass Dharma straws to my store, just for me 🙂 They know how much I love these straws and since many of you ask where I purchased them –they’ve been a fave since last fall!- I figured it would be a great addition if any of ya’ll are in the market for some.

Next, I took the puppers to the dog park for an hour to meet my friend Lauren and her two dogs, a beagle and chihuahua. The chihuahua’s name is Bosco, and he and Bella are deeply in love. They gazed into each other’s puppy eyes and I kept Viesa on the leash to abstain from eating the chihuahua out of jealousy.

She was a good girl, though 🙂

Some of today’s eats:

vega

Vega Smoothie To-Go after my weight training sesh.

banana

Banana with almond butter and cinnamon + chai tea

And a wrap using this horseradish mustard that reader Teresa sent to me:

My nose was burning the entire time. I loved it 🙂

So I’ve been promising ya’ll a blogiversary giveaway and thought it would be fun to give away packages that I put together myself 😀

  2. Tami Jo Eaton on June 8, 2010 at 1:15 pm

I am so excited every day that I read your blog because you always have something new and exciting. What I would most like to see is where your career path goes. I originally missed the post about the bakery, but since I live far away, I was hoping for an online bakery/store. I like your OpenSky store, but I feel that you are not reaping the benefits of all of your followers. I already ordered the garlic and I will be placing an order soon for the Sun Warrior protein powder and it is all based on your recommendations. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

Happy blogiversary! What would I love to see on the blog in the next year? More of your amazing workouts — I am loving the summer shape-up. (I think you might be the one person who’s gotten me to do burpees). Feel like I don’t waste time in the gym when I’ve got a purpose. I’d also love some more playlists to go with them.

  19. Lindsay on June 8, 2010 at 2:17 pm

Recipes and challenges like the shape up. It would be cool if you could somehow make a discussion board type thing where we could all talk about our experiences with the challenges and workouts.

To me, a ‘Fitnessista’ is someone who not only can rock out the workouts but can also motivate others to do the same thing. You do this better than anyone I know Gina, so Fitnessista is a perfect name for you.

As for the next year, just keep doing what you’re doing. Although I would like to see a few of your recipes printed for all of our pleasure (really want the raw macaroon, kale chips and most importantly your moonie pie recipe!!!) 🙂

  24. Katie P on June 8, 2010 at 2:33 pm

Fitnessista to me means seeing your health and overall fitness as something that deserves as much time and attention as we devote to everything else in our lives. Fitnessistas find a way to make health a priority while juggling jobs, marriages, kids, friends, and everything in between!

I started reading your blog about two months ago but already feel like you’re someone I can relate to and such a nice and kind person. Yesterday I tried on a size 8 dress and fit into it for the first time in like three years and it made me so so happy. I’m finally losing weight the healthy way, and fueling my body with good things. Thank you!

To me a fitnessista is a cool chick passionate about living a healthy lifestyle…She does this through eating raw, clean foods and exercising. But, the key to being a Fitnessista is that she does all this in a fun way, by always mixing things up and creating/trying various recipes to make food more exciting. 47. Stacey on June 8, 2010 at 3:54 pm

Happy Blogiversary, Gina! I started reading in January and am hooked! Your workouts have inspired my own, and helped to demolish a serious work-out rut. I have your regimes numbered and put into a Fitness/Work-out binder that I made. Tomorrow I’m scheduled for Fitnessista Superset Work-out #1 🙂 I think a true Fitnessista looks to incorporate some activity and movement into each day. I loved that you list exercise as part of your daily routine, same as brushing your teeth. It’s part of a a lifestyle. It’s a movement. It’s a movement movement. Lol. Okay, I’m waxing poetic here, but thanks for all you do. Cheers to the next year of blogging!
