Bribing the Chompers

Heyyyy 😀 How are ya?? I’m so glad ya’ll liked the Smoothie Post.. and the flasher banana, haha. It’s one of my faves. Thank you so much for the happy dentist vibes on Twitter, too 🙂

I’m happy to say that the cavity filling was a success. The sweet little assistant even rubbed my shoulder and comforted me while he gave me the shot- it was lovely. The dentist here is awesome and I also bribed my chompers not to hurt (and bribed myself not to be a weeny) 😉

With the promise of juice:

(Beet, apple, carrot, gingah)

Shopping 😀

I picked up this LBSD (Little Black Shift Dress)

dress

Lurve the cut-outs in the back and exposed zipper

These shirts (Bella approved)

shirts

The grey one also has an awesome back 😀

back (2)

And ice cream!

I made a lavender-blueberry version of Heab’s creation by nixing the chocolate, increasing the xanthan gum to 3/4 t (I have no guar gum in the casa), and adding 1/2 C frozen organic blueberries and 1 t dried lavender.

lavender

The ice cream tasted amazing.. especially since half of my mouth was still numb and I was afraid to chew anything.

This morning, before the dentist visit of justice, I did a half hour of Shiva Rea’s Daily Energy DVD.

shiva

I did the Solar opening flow, Heart-Air flow (lots of twisting, backbends and lunges) and Savasana. It was the perfect way to wake up.

So was this….

crepes

Those would be goat cheese and apple crepes.

I’d never had a crepe before, so I was shocked when the recipe came out perfectly. Our house is now the whole-grain crepe house 😉 I’ll share the vegan and un-vegan versions with ya sometime this week 🙂

I’m off to do some cardio and train clients. <3

Later tonight: vino and appetizers with the girls 😀

Enjoy your evening!

xoxo,

Gina

  4. Carrie on June 22, 2010 at 3:14 pm

I was the biggest baby when it came to dentists when I was little. I absolutely refused to let the hygienist clean my teeth. So we made a deal. I would brush my teeth for 2 minutes. Then the dentist would look in my mouth. No scary metal machinery involved.

Until they found my first cavity. Grrawr.

  5. RhodeyGirl on June 22, 2010 at 3:14 pm

and exposed zippers are so hot! I love them!

Glad the appt went well and that you’ve found a dentist you like. I think having a nice doctor totally changes the experience.

And I need that gray top in my life? Can you share where you got it, pretty please? 😀

Oh how I miss shopping… I’m not a huge fan of the ranchwear stores here in Wyoming… When I go shopping now I spend scary amounts of $ becuase it only happens like 3 times a year. It is fun to tote around 10 bags Pretty Woman style though like I’m loaded and I do this all the time… Haha :D.

I have to get a filling on Thursday and it’s right before lunch time so I think a juice would be a perfect gift to myself for the torture.

I also wanted to tell you about a raw cafe I went to this weekend. Do you ever venture to St. Augustine? http://www.thepresentmomentcafe.com/ It was really good. My first experience with a real raw meal. Amazing! Even my husband who is just starting to realize veggies taste good loved it.

    • Fitnessista on June 22, 2010 at 4:27 pm

yes a juice would be a perfect treat! i had to be careful not to drool on myself, though 🙂
we’ve been to st. augustine once- sounds like we need to go back! that restaurant sounds incredible

    • tina on June 22, 2010 at 6:08 pm
