My WILL for November
This post is sponsored by Under Armour. They have so many amazing holiday gifts up on their site – for others or yourself. ๐ Check it out here!
Well, here we are. My very favorite time of the year. Bring on the holiday decor, eggnog, parties, family gatherings, and Christmas movies. Thereโs so much going on and we have something each weekend until the end of the year! With everything going on, it can be easy our usual healthy habits to fall off the radar. Even though Iโm totally cool with replacing salads with cookies for a little while, thereโs something that isnโt ok: skipping out on movement.
Iโm one of those people who needs to get in a little bit of movement every day. It makes a huge difference in how I feel, and helps me to manage my anxiety. Itโs something thatโs important to me, so for this reason, Iโm focusing on making it a priority for the next month.
Iโm so excited to be partnering with Under Armour this holiday season! They make some of my favorite fitness apparel, and I love the motivational voice behind their brand. Theyโre big on turning โWishes into Willsโ and inspired me to create my own โWillโ mantra for the hectic month ahead.
I WILL work out 5 days per week in November.
Itโs my usual set amount of workout days and itโs the amount that makes me feel energized and sane. ๐ Even though itโs not a crazy or lofty goal, Iโm a huge believer in the value of consistency. Little steps truly do add up each day, and every time you wake up, you have choices to make that can propel you towards your goals. Itโs also important to make goals that you know will challenge you, but also that you know in your heart that you can accomplish. This way, it gives you the confidence and motivation to go after other things.
If youโre working on getting in consistent workouts this month, too, hereโs a little holiday hustle circuit I put together!
You get to choose how much time youโre going to work. Set a timer for 10, 20, or 30 minutes, and complete as many rounds as you can.
Hereโs what the workout looks like:
My friends at Under Armour sent me some new gear to try out this holiday season, and new fitness apparel usually makes me work a little bit harder. ๐ Iโm loving so many of the amazing items in their holiday collection and have already selected gift ideas for friends and family.
Iโm loving their new Charged Bandit 4 running shoes.
Theyโre insanely lightweight and have been perfect for long trail walks, circuit workouts, and sprints. Theyโre neutral shoes (for runners who need support and flexibility), have 360 degree reflectivity (awesome since itโs getting dark so much earlier), and mesh ventilation. I canโt stand it when shoes feel too heavy or clunky, and these feel like running on a cloud.
Iโve been living in this new Armour Fleeceยฎ Big Logo hoodie. Itโs perfect to wear to and from the studio on colder days, and they have so many color options.
In the workout pics above, Iโm wearing the pindot open back long sleeve and the Vanish crops. The crops are supportive and light, and the top has a pretty open back detail. I can wear it for strength, barre, yoga, or just around running errands.
Also these aren’t pictured above, but Iโm OBSESSED with their new Athlete Recovery Sleepwear™ joggers. You need these in your life. Theyโre SO soft and comfy, and thanks to their new technology, they can promote rest and recovery. I slept in them after Hell Week at Orangetheory and my legs werenโt nearly as sore. The pattern inside the fabric returns infrared energy to your body, boosting localized blood flow & increasing the amount of oxygen reaching your muscles to restore your muscles faster. So awesome, right?
You can check out more of their holiday new arrivals here!
So tell me, friends: what is your WILL for November? Whatโs something youโre focusing on for your health despite the busy season?

I WILL maintain the (healthy) weight-loss I’ve accomplished over the last two months, by making sure to fill my plate at parties with salads/veggies first, and to drink one bottle of water at every meal, while still also allowing myself to splurge on all the holiday goodies. Because life is supposed to be fun too, and the 80/20 rule really does help me stay sane!
AMEN to all of this!
Perfect timing for this post and I WILL think about, create and commit to healthy mantra for November and December by the end of the day.
I always love your hair, but in the UA Hoodie pics it is absolutely gorgeous!
i’m sure you came up with the best mantra. <3
thank you so much, friend!
I WILL honour my age and abilities so I can move towards stability rather than feeling like I’m swinging from highs to lows every day.
Extremes are much harder to deal with as I get older and are messing with my health. Stability and consistency may seem boring but it’s definitely comforting to me and those around me.
There’s already too much drama in the world especially when you live in DC!
i completely agree. stability is the perfect grey zone; it doesn’t have to be extreme changes all the time <3
My goal for November is to keep getting in 3 walks a week postpartum, until cleared for fitness at the end of the month!
I can’t find your email on the site but I have a question about your workout plans. I will need to workout from home once I’m cleared to start again, so I’m wondering which of your plans would be better suited for me – the Post Baby Bod plan or the Home Workout plan? I can’t get an idea from the description how much cardio is in the Post Baby Bod plan that would require exercise equipment? Thanks for your help!
that is an amazing goal <3 congrats to you!
i think post baby bod would be the smartest best. it's all home workouts and the cardio starts with walking and progresses. you just need to be able to walk outside or have access to a treadmill. please let me know if you have any more questions!
I will eat a big salad a day in November, no matter what else I eat. I know Iโll feel better if I do.
Omg that open back top is adorable! I think Iโm going to order the same color for myself ๐
Unrelated wall of text: have you written any posts on Health at Every Size and/or anything related to fitness for people with obesity? I counsel patients with type 2 diabetes, and a lot of them have a BMI of >35. Iโve tried taking an approach that doesnโt focus as much on weight, and Iโm curious what a fitness professionalโs thoughts are. A lot of them are also very self conscious and uncomfortable starting a fitness routine at the gym. Itโs been a challenge for me as an RD to find good resources for them that donโt involve body shaming and 1200 calorie diets. I know body positivity is something you promote, which I definitely appreciate!
love the salad idea! and yes, you’ll love the top ๐
i haven’t, but thank you so much for the idea. i can definitely do a post! that’s such a tricky one because i can totally understand that they want to make these healthy changes, but it can certainly be intimidating and overwhelming at first. <3
I want those sleepwear joggers! Question: Are they too warm? I get so hot when I sleep!
no, they’re incredibly light! i sleep in them as much as possible ๐
Your hair is Amazing! Can I do a post or just reply back with products you are using!
Can you do a post? Not me lol
i really think the collagen is what makes the biggest difference. i’ve been doing it really consistently and my hair is growing like crazy
