Rodan + Fields giveaway

Hi friends! We’re enjoying one last day in Cali, but in the meantime, I have some fun posts planned! Today is a giveaway and Fashion post, and tomorrow: a new dance cardio video. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! xo

_______________________________________________________________

My normal skincare routine would probably make some people shudder.

It involves using a little cleanser (usually Yes To brand or Juice Beauty) on the Clairsonic at night, nighttime moisturizer, and tinted SPF moisturizer for day. Once or twice a week, I feel fancy and use a LUSH face mask. That’s it. Full-on skincare/makeup routines freak me out a little bit (toner, exfoliator, makeup remover, primer, whaaaaat?!) and I always feel intimidated when I check out new products. If it ain’t broke, right?

Well, my friend Jeni has always had absolutely gorgeous skin. In the 5 years I’ve known her, it’s continued to become even more vibrant and beautiful. When she last came to visit, it was absolutely glowing, so I asked what products she’d been using. (Unlike me, Jeni knows about makeup and skincare and stuff haha.) She had started using the Rodan + Fields products (founded by the same doctors who created the ProActiv solution) and loved them so much that she became a consultant for them. Since I was curious to try it out, she offered to send me some samples when she got home. (And because she’s one of my closest friends and know it’s important to me, she also triple-checked to make sure that the products weren’t tested on animals. Rodan +Fields is cruelty-free and supported by PETA.)

When I first opened the package, I was really excited to try out the facial, lip serum and exfoliator she sent. The verdict? I absolutely loved everything. My skin looked noticeably different in a couple of weeks. Since I found the products to be extremely effective (yet gentle enough for my sensitive skin) I asked Jeni if she might be able to do a giveaway.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive:

Rodan

Mini Facial:
ย

You can check out more of the products on her site here and there is a solution tool to help decide what products would be best for your skin.

How to enter:

Just leave a comment with with your favorite skincare or beauty product. If I had to narrow it down to one, mine would be Moroccan oil. It makes my hair smell great and keeps the frizzies away.

I’ll pick the winner via random number generator and announce in this week’s Friday Faves post.

Hope you have a wonderful day! <3

xoxo

Gina

(Not sponsored– just wanted to support one of my best friends and spread the word about this awesome line)

I’m simple when it comes to products, bare essentials has some of my favorites!

  2. Emma on July 16, 2013 at 6:26 pm

My favorite beauty product is good old cocoa butter! Not very creative but does the job and smells delish. Plus I’m convinced that, along with moisturizing, it heals cuts and scrapes in record time.

  3. Elisia on July 16, 2013 at 6:30 pm

Aveda rosemary mint shampoo/conditioner and Cetaphil lotion.

  4. sara on July 16, 2013 at 6:31 pm

My favorite beauty product is by far my Burt’s Bees shimmery lip tint. I usually only roll with eyeliner and mascara for my makeup, so this gives me a little extra ‘pretty’ boost! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Nicole M. on July 16, 2013 at 6:33 pm

I’m totally with you on Argan oil! I also found a John Masters Organics cleanser that was so gentle on my skin, but still helped so well with my breakouts (which are so consistent, unfortunately..). The price is just not something I’m positive I can do regularly while on a college student budget. So for the lower price, I’m all over that Clean & Clear Blackhead Scrub!

  6. Candy on July 16, 2013 at 6:33 pm

    I love my Mia Clairsonic!!

  7. Monica on July 16, 2013 at 6:34 pm

  9. Kate on July 16, 2013 at 6:35 pm

I like Olay Face Lotion that has SPF 15. I really need to start thinking about my skincare more…don’t want to regret it later in life!

Hi, Rodan and Fields has a great anti age line called Redefine. The regimen has an awesome Triple Defense Day Cream with SPF 30. It is really good to think about your skin now and this line will definitely help fight off wrinkles. If you would like to set up a time to talk you can find my email on my site. Thanks.

Plain old Vaseline on my lips is my go to! Anything else…and my lips become irritated.

These products sound fantastic! I’m looking to green up my skincare routine so I’d love to try them. My favourite skin care product is tea tree oil. I love it because a little goes a long way and it’s great for clearing up breakouts!

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:23 am

Hi, Rodan and Fields has a great line for breakouts called Unblemish. Our regimens are multi-med therapies. The doctors believe the right ingredients and active cosmetics in the right order and right formulation make a multi-med therapy. We also offer a 60 day empty bottle money back guarantee if you would like to try the products. My email can be found on my site if you would like to set up a time to talk. Thanks.

  12. Shelly on July 16, 2013 at 6:38 pm

All I use on my face is water and an SPF moisturizer. Now at 42 I think that it may be time to consider stepping it up.

Ooh, I read this post (and comments) with great interest. There are several comments I agree with: Dr B’s Tea Tree soap on the Clarasonic, coconut oil for my hair and skin – those are the shizzle, for sure. But, I have to say, the one product I can’t live without? I’m waiting to find it. I am desperate for a skin care line that makes me feel and see the difference you describe in this post. I have tried Arbonne, Envy Organics, Mary Kay, and Laura Mercier. My skin continues to feel dull and a bit dry. I hope whoever does win this giveaway returns and comments on their experience with it! I’m 38 and ready to find a skin care home:)

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:28 am

Hi, I would so love to talk to you. I use to work in Macy’s in cosmetics at every line. (They would call me in to work when they needed help) I too have tried all and while I found products that I liked nothing compares to Rodan and Fields. Redefine or Reverse would probably be great for you skin. If you would like to set up a time to talk you can find my email on my site. Thanks.

  14. Sarah on July 16, 2013 at 6:43 pm

I use a St. Ives daily moisturizer that is thick and feels amazing on my skin! I’m also recently obsessed with the skincare line from Simple. Great products!

  15. Julie on July 16, 2013 at 6:44 pm

I’d want to try the sunless tan! SOunds like a great way to not have to visit the tanning salon in the winter ๐Ÿ™‚

My favorite beauty product is Aveeno “Protect + Hydrate” Lotion Sunscreen. It blends in quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily. I also have an addiction to Chapstick!

  21. Holly Miller on July 16, 2013 at 6:53 pm

I use Oil of Olay sensitive skin moisturizer with SPF 15. But my skin still breaks out time to time.

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:45 am

  23. Katie on July 16, 2013 at 6:54 pm

My favorite beauty product is Moroccan oil too! Love how you only have to use a little to make your hair look great!

  24. Lauren Suess on July 16, 2013 at 6:57 pm

Any type of mudmask. Do I look ridiculous using it? Yes. But it nixes my oily t-zone. I especially love mudmasks with mint in them…I love how tingly my skin feels!!

I have a super simple skincare routine currently – Neutragena naturals fash wash and water ;). It’s so quick and easy. But I think it’s about time I switched it up a bit and actually used something more exciting!

  32. Loretta on July 16, 2013 at 7:02 pm

My favourite skincare line has to be the Normaderm line from Vichy – I have extremely acne-prone skin and I break out a lot when I work out too much. I’ve recently forced myself to stick to the whole shebang, night and day: cleanse, tone, moisturize (plus sunscreen in the daytime) – so far so good ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:51 am

Hi, Rodan and Fields also has a great regimen for acne called unblemish. If you would ever like to try something new I would love to talk to you. My email address is on my site. Thanks.

Coconut oil has done amazing things for the eczema I have on my face and hands. I was using topical corticosteroids and it wasn’t doing enough so I tried coconut oil on the eczema spots and it worked better than the steroids ever did!

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:57 am

Hi, Rodan and Fields Soothe line is awesome for eczema as well. The sensitive skin treatment can even be used on babies to help with eczema. It has been a lifesaver for one of the other consultants I work with. If you would ever like to hear about the line please email me. You can find my email address on my website. I can show you some good before and afters also. Thanks.

  36. Laura on July 16, 2013 at 7:09 pm

I use a Eucerin moisturizer on the daily and it has sunscreen on it but it doesn’t leave my skin oily….a good thing since it is oily enough! It’s the only product I use on my face! Love it!
