Rodan + Fields giveaway

Hi friends! We’re enjoying one last day in Cali, but in the meantime, I have some fun posts planned! Today is a giveaway and Fashion post, and tomorrow: a new dance cardio video. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! xo

_______________________________________________________________

My normal skincare routine would probably make some people shudder.

It involves using a little cleanser (usually Yes To brand or Juice Beauty) on the Clairsonic at night, nighttime moisturizer, and tinted SPF moisturizer for day. Once or twice a week, I feel fancy and use a LUSH face mask. That’s it. Full-on skincare/makeup routines freak me out a little bit (toner, exfoliator, makeup remover, primer, whaaaaat?!) and I always feel intimidated when I check out new products. If it ain’t broke, right?

Well, my friend Jeni has always had absolutely gorgeous skin. In the 5 years I’ve known her, it’s continued to become even more vibrant and beautiful. When she last came to visit, it was absolutely glowing, so I asked what products she’d been using. (Unlike me, Jeni knows about makeup and skincare and stuff haha.) She had started using the Rodan + Fields products (founded by the same doctors who created the ProActiv solution) and loved them so much that she became a consultant for them. Since I was curious to try it out, she offered to send me some samples when she got home. (And because she’s one of my closest friends and know it’s important to me, she also triple-checked to make sure that the products weren’t tested on animals. Rodan +Fields is cruelty-free and supported by PETA.)

When I first opened the package, I was really excited to try out the facial, lip serum and exfoliator she sent. The verdict? I absolutely loved everything. My skin looked noticeably different in a couple of weeks. Since I found the products to be extremely effective (yet gentle enough for my sensitive skin) I asked Jeni if she might be able to do a giveaway.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive:

Rodan

Mini Facial:

You can check out more of the products on her site here and there is a solution tool to help decide what products would be best for your skin.

How to enter:

Just leave a comment with with your favorite skincare or beauty product. If I had to narrow it down to one, mine would be Moroccan oil. It makes my hair smell great and keeps the frizzies away.

I’ll pick the winner via random number generator and announce in this week’s Friday Faves post.

Hope you have a wonderful day! <3

xoxo

Gina

(Not sponsored– just wanted to support one of my best friends and spread the word about this awesome line)

It sounds silly, but I’ve been using Burts Bees chapstick for years, multiple times a day, and my lips are in amazing shape!

I’m also low maintenance with my skin care routine. My new current beauty find is St. Ive’s Collagen Moisturizer. It feels really greasy when you first put it on, but it dries fast and is really light.

  8. Sarah on July 16, 2013 at 7:48 pm

I love Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty!

  9. Kimberly on July 16, 2013 at 7:48 pm

I honestly don’t have one beauty product that I swear by, but I love all the Yes To! products. This is a great giveaway!

  10. Melinda Gonzalez on July 16, 2013 at 7:49 pm

Coconut oil! I use it on my upper arms and it has completely gotten rid of my keratosis pilaris (those crazy chicken skin bumps people get on their arms). It is also a great moisturizer for the feet (keeps the calluses and smells away), hands, and face. I love my coconut oil.

My fav has to be BB cream. I am soooo lazy when it comes to skincare and makeup, and BB is the perfect all in one.

  17. Janine on July 16, 2013 at 8:05 pm

I enjoy Arbonne, but would love to try these products!

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:00 am

Hi, Rodan and Fields products are great. They were the number 1 clinical selling skin care line in high end department stores such a Nordstrom before the decided to pull out and go into direct sells. They wanted everyone to be able to buy the products not just people who had access to high end stores. We have four different lines and I would love to tell you about them and find a regimen that would be good for your skin. If you would like we can set up a time to talk. You can find my email on my site. Thanks.

Have to be my Aveeno night cream. It’s so thick and smells delicious!!!

  19. tara on July 16, 2013 at 8:06 pm

How bout good old vaseline??? I slather it on my lips or use it to add a little sheen or to smooth out my eyebrows….in the winter I even sleep with it on my hands under gloves – works like a charm!

  20. Jenny N on July 16, 2013 at 8:06 pm

Hmm, I would have to say that I love anything that can clean out my pores and shrink them down to size. And I have a love-hate relationship with sunscreen. I love that it protects my translucent pale skin from sunburn and freckles, but I hate the way it smells and is so thick and greasy.

    • Jeni on July 19, 2013 at 4:43 pm

Hi, you may like the Redefine line from Rodan and Fields. The call it the spanx for pores and the toner really helps minimize them. Also the day and night moisturizers are great. If you woul like to set up a time to talk you can find my email address on my site. Thanks.

I am in love with grape seed oil for the face! It works wonders!

  27. Catherine on July 16, 2013 at 8:24 pm

My favorite beauty product is definitely Mac Studio Tech foundation. This foundation keeps everything in place and looking flawless. I typically won’t wear it in the summer though and stick to a bb cream or tinted moisturizer.

  28. Jackie on July 16, 2013 at 8:26 pm

I have very curly hair, so for me it would have to be the Ouidad leave in conditioner and gel. I look like a poodle without it:)

  29. Juliet on July 16, 2013 at 8:26 pm

Mine has to be Bain de Terre shampoo and conditioner with argan oil (I’m usually able to find it at TJ Maxx for $9.99) I also love Bert’s Bees lip balm; I’m guilty of having six opened tubes of the stuff at any given moment.

  40. S. Dodorico on July 16, 2013 at 8:43 pm

I can’t live without Sebastian Potion 9 for my hair and for my face, coconut oil.

  41. Karen on July 16, 2013 at 8:47 pm

My can’t live without product is the world’s best conditioner, Loreal texture smooth fluidity masque. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. I did a major stock up before stores ran out completely and I don’t know what I will do when I am out!

  42. Kelsey Crismon on July 16, 2013 at 8:48 pm

My Aveeno facial cream is my favorite because my skin is so sensitive and it definitely helps!

    • Jeni on July 17, 2013 at 1:06 am

Hi, I was looking at the comments and noticed that you said you had sensitive skin. Rodan and Fields offers a great line called soothe that can help calm red irritated skin in the first use. Just thought I would pass that along if you would like to look at my site. If you have any questions please email me and we can set up a time to talk. Thanks.
