Rodan + Fields giveaway

Hi friends! We’re enjoying one last day in Cali, but in the meantime, I have some fun posts planned! Today is a giveaway and Fashion post, and tomorrow: a new dance cardio video. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! xo

_______________________________________________________________

My normal skincare routine would probably make some people shudder.

It involves using a little cleanser (usually Yes To brand or Juice Beauty) on the Clairsonic at night, nighttime moisturizer, and tinted SPF moisturizer for day. Once or twice a week, I feel fancy and use a LUSH face mask. That’s it. Full-on skincare/makeup routines freak me out a little bit (toner, exfoliator, makeup remover, primer, whaaaaat?!) and I always feel intimidated when I check out new products. If it ain’t broke, right?

Well, my friend Jeni has always had absolutely gorgeous skin. In the 5 years I’ve known her, it’s continued to become even more vibrant and beautiful. When she last came to visit, it was absolutely glowing, so I asked what products she’d been using. (Unlike me, Jeni knows about makeup and skincare and stuff haha.) She had started using the Rodan + Fields products (founded by the same doctors who created the ProActiv solution) and loved them so much that she became a consultant for them. Since I was curious to try it out, she offered to send me some samples when she got home. (And because she’s one of my closest friends and know it’s important to me, she also triple-checked to make sure that the products weren’t tested on animals. Rodan +Fields is cruelty-free and supported by PETA.)

When I first opened the package, I was really excited to try out the facial, lip serum and exfoliator she sent. The verdict? I absolutely loved everything. My skin looked noticeably different in a couple of weeks. Since I found the products to be extremely effective (yet gentle enough for my sensitive skin) I asked Jeni if she might be able to do a giveaway.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive:

Rodan

Mini Facial:

You can check out more of the products on her site here and there is a solution tool to help decide what products would be best for your skin.

How to enter:

Just leave a comment with with your favorite skincare or beauty product. If I had to narrow it down to one, mine would be Moroccan oil. It makes my hair smell great and keeps the frizzies away.

I’ll pick the winner via random number generator and announce in this week’s Friday Faves post.

Hope you have a wonderful day! <3

xoxo

Gina

(Not sponsored– just wanted to support one of my best friends and spread the word about this awesome line)

My skincare routine is pretty much non-existent..yikes! I used to be an avid mary kay gal…but since stick with my aveeno face wash and recently heard about using coconut oil for my skin..so i’m going to try that!

  2. Manasi on July 16, 2013 at 12:20 pm

I love the Organix shampoo and conditioner line, they are paraben/sulfate free and come in all sorts of delicious smelling scents.

  3. Rhea on July 16, 2013 at 12:20 pm

I love skincare/makeup!! I’m going to Sephora after work 🙂
My current fave beauty product is Perfekt’s tinted brow gel. It’s idiot proof (and I am an idiot when it comes to brow pencils) and makes you look polished. Love it. http://www.sephora.com/per-fekt-brow-perfection-gel-P297002

I have heard about these products before and have been SO curious! I love Aveeno Positively Radiant scrub, it has the smallest beads to gently scrub my skin. I notice a difference every time I use it, in the texture of my skin and the light scent is great too–not overpowering!

  5. Mary Beth on July 16, 2013 at 12:22 pm

    Sunscreen and bronzing powder!!

  6. Megan on July 16, 2013 at 12:22 pm

My favorite product is definitely my Orgins Vitazing. It has SPF and a slight tint for my fair skin in this Az sun.

  7. Shelby on July 16, 2013 at 12:22 pm

Oh my gosh I NEED a new skin care regimen, or should I say, I need a skin care regimen in general! My favorite beauty product is It’s a 10 hair product.

  8. Suzanne on July 16, 2013 at 12:24 pm

Mine is DeVita moisturizer with SPF 30.

I would LOVE to win this! Hopefully it’s open to those in Canada 🙂 My favourite product is my Lush “a grease Lightening”. It helps get rid of zits just a bit faster- which I definitely appreciate 🙂

  11. Molly A on July 16, 2013 at 12:24 pm

I use the Yes To brand as well, but I really swear by Bio-Oil. It is great for moisturizing my skin! I also do a facial scrub once a week using my normal face wash and a few pinches of baking soda. Its amazing!

  12. Ashley marchant on July 16, 2013 at 12:24 pm

I couldn’t live without my face sunscreen , I live in Phoenix so making sure I use SPF on my face daily is crucial!!

  13. Patti on July 16, 2013 at 12:25 pm

My favorite product is basic Lubriderm lotion. I love that it is so gentle on my skin. 🙂

  14. Laura on July 16, 2013 at 12:25 pm

BB cream! A little color and light enough for the hot Valdosta summers.

  15. Patty on July 16, 2013 at 12:25 pm

My favorite product? I bought some Orgins face cream as a personal birthday gift and I love, love, love it. My skin has been super nice since then. I’m also using Angels on Bare skin lush face wash and I’m kinda meh on it.

  16. Rosalie on July 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm

My favourite beauty product is John Frieda’s frizz-ease serum. Really inexpensive and really effective, it’s the extent of my post-shower hair styling (plus a comb) and I get lovely ringlets and curls 🙂

  17. Kaleigh on July 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm

Because it’s summer, I LOVE using simple things like aloe vera gel in my daily skin routine, also a light morning moisturizer like Spectro Hydracare (not sure if that’s a Canada only product). It doesn’t feel oily or heavy 🙂

  18. Kaitlyn on July 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm

Neutrogena oil-free facewash with grapefruit is amazing! I’ve used it for years and am obsessed with the smell.

  19. Cady on July 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm

I love baking soda to wash my hair, and vinegar to condition as I’m trying to go “no poo”. So far, so good! 🙂

  20. Anne J on July 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Brazilian Prophylis from Epicurean — smells amazing and just a teensy bit makes my skin glow!

  21. Kyla on July 16, 2013 at 12:27 pm

I’m pretty basic with my skin care routine as I’ve always had pretty good skin. My favorite thing right now is a weekly lemon body scrub from the body shop.

  22. Stephanie on July 16, 2013 at 12:28 pm

I love the Cetaphil SPF 15 moisturizer. My skin is highly sensitive but also ouky, and it’s one of the few products I’ve found that does the job without making me feel like a greaseball. Can’t beat the drugstore price point either!

  23. Bethany on July 16, 2013 at 12:28 pm

I love the Vitamin C serum from Avalon Organics-smells great and mkea my skin feel like silk!

  24. Jess on July 16, 2013 at 12:29 pm

I love my neutrogena spinning face wash thing (I know, very specific).

  25. Melissa on July 16, 2013 at 12:29 pm

My favorite beauty product is my Naked 2 pallet. There are so many great colors!!!

  26. Amber on July 16, 2013 at 12:29 pm

Been dying to try these products! Coconut oil is my favorite to use on my face and skin at night. Laura Mercier’s tinted SPF moisturizer is my go-to for every day wear- it’s amazing!

  27. Lori on July 16, 2013 at 12:29 pm

coconut oil…i use it on everything!

  28. Kaylie on July 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I don’t use a whole lot either – but one thing I nearly always use is Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer (from Target!). I’m really pale, and don’t like loading my skin down with foundation – so this helps smooth it out while moisturizing.

  29. Emily S on July 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

What a fun giveaway! I think my favorite product right now is my grapefruit neutrogena face wipes. They are incredibly refreshing post workout. I keep them in my gym locker 🙂

  30. Ashley on July 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I like ahava toner, it makes my face look nice.

  31. Kelsey Yoki on July 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I’m in love with my Moroccan Oil! And my Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette has become a favorite as well! I’m desperately seeking a new skincare system!!!

  32. Tera on July 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

So basic but I love Clinique’s unscented face lotion! Thanks for hosting a great giveaway 🙂

  33. Kyra on July 16, 2013 at 12:31 pm

I can’t pick one favorite beauty product!
For hair: Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk is great for my curly hair in the summer
For skin: Origins Modern Friction. It’s their microdermabrasion product and I use it 1-2x/week and have really noticed it helps with dark spots.

  34. Alyssa Warren on July 16, 2013 at 12:31 pm

I love the entire Yes To line!

  35. Beth M on July 16, 2013 at 12:31 pm

I love Clinique’s moisturizing lotion (the yellow kind!). It is the only one I have used for as long as I can remember.

  36. Nicole N on July 16, 2013 at 12:32 pm

Lip balm would have to be my absolute favorite product !

  37. Cassie on July 16, 2013 at 12:33 pm

Ooh, I haven’t heard of this line before! I used to LOVE proactiv, but now it is too harsh for my skin, and I haven’t found my next skin love yet, so maybe this will be it! Favorite beauty product = FRESH lip balm…the tinted ones are just the right amount of color and they feel like silk on your lips!

  38. Brittany @ Barr & Table on July 16, 2013 at 12:33 pm

I swear by my Kerastase heat protectant.. I need it for all of the hair straightening I do!

I haven’t found the perfect skincare product for my skin yet. It’s so fussy!

  39. Abby on July 16, 2013 at 12:33 pm

I love my Morrocan Oil shampoo and conditioner. Leaves your hair baby soft!

  40. Mallory on July 16, 2013 at 12:33 pm

Acure’s Dry Shampoo! That stuff is amazing.

  41. Kristin Shotter on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I love Kerastase hair mask for color treated hair. I also swear by tea tree oil for pimples. PS it took me years to get on board with a face regime, but now I can’t imagine not putting on my arsenal (ha ha) of cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream and spf/moisturiser!

  42. Kiersten on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I use Oil of Olay everyday… it’s great that it has spf built in.

  43. Alexandra on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

My daily skincare regimen sounds super similar! Clairsonic with some philosophy face wash at night followed by some moisturizer. TInted moisturizer with SPF for during the day and thats it! This skincare line sounds fantastic! I would probably say that Philosophy skin care products are my favorite!

  44. Barbara Kennedy on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I love Clinique’s CC cream…super light, but still gives coverage and lots of moisture so your skin always looks dewy after using! I also love vaseline for my lips…way better than any chapstick I have ever used and actually makes your lips softer after about a week of regular use!

  45. Amaura on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I love my Clarasonic Brush-no more facials necessary for this girl!

  46. Sarah W on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

I have many fave products but right now I would say Pevonia purifying mask

  47. anna maria on July 16, 2013 at 12:34 pm

Coconut oil is my favorite, all around moisturizer. I often use it for my lips during the winter.

  48. Kelly on July 16, 2013 at 12:35 pm

    I love my Clarisonic!

  49. Charlotte on July 16, 2013 at 12:35 pm

Hey Gina, thanks for this awesome giveaway! My favorite product is probably conditioner: 1) It keeps my hair nice and soft, and 2) I’m too cheap to buy shaving creme, so this is a great replacement 😉

  50. Lindsay @ Typically Late on July 16, 2013 at 12:35 pm

I love Neutrogena Moisturizer. It has SPF and totally helps my super-dry face skin without leaving me greasy.
