Rodan + Fields giveaway

Hi friends! We’re enjoying one last day in Cali, but in the meantime, I have some fun posts planned! Today is a giveaway and Fashion post, and tomorrow: a new dance cardio video. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! xo

_______________________________________________________________

My normal skincare routine would probably make some people shudder.

It involves using a little cleanser (usually Yes To brand or Juice Beauty) on the Clairsonic at night, nighttime moisturizer, and tinted SPF moisturizer for day. Once or twice a week, I feel fancy and use a LUSH face mask. That’s it. Full-on skincare/makeup routines freak me out a little bit (toner, exfoliator, makeup remover, primer, whaaaaat?!) and I always feel intimidated when I check out new products. If it ain’t broke, right?

Well, my friend Jeni has always had absolutely gorgeous skin. In the 5 years I’ve known her, it’s continued to become even more vibrant and beautiful. When she last came to visit, it was absolutely glowing, so I asked what products she’d been using. (Unlike me, Jeni knows about makeup and skincare and stuff haha.) She had started using the Rodan + Fields products (founded by the same doctors who created the ProActiv solution) and loved them so much that she became a consultant for them. Since I was curious to try it out, she offered to send me some samples when she got home. (And because she’s one of my closest friends and know it’s important to me, she also triple-checked to make sure that the products weren’t tested on animals. Rodan +Fields is cruelty-free and supported by PETA.)

When I first opened the package, I was really excited to try out the facial, lip serum and exfoliator she sent. The verdict? I absolutely loved everything. My skin looked noticeably different in a couple of weeks. Since I found the products to be extremely effective (yet gentle enough for my sensitive skin) I asked Jeni if she might be able to do a giveaway.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive:

Rodan

Mini Facial:

You can check out more of the products on her site here and there is a solution tool to help decide what products would be best for your skin.

How to enter:

Just leave a comment with with your favorite skincare or beauty product. If I had to narrow it down to one, mine would be Moroccan oil. It makes my hair smell great and keeps the frizzies away.

I’ll pick the winner via random number generator and announce in this week’s Friday Faves post.

Hope you have a wonderful day! <3

xoxo

Gina

(Not sponsored– just wanted to support one of my best friends and spread the word about this awesome line)

  3. Beth on July 16, 2013 at 2:39 pm

I finally upgraded to a Clarisonic, and my skin has been improving ever since! I feel like I can’t live without it! I also really like Yes To products (specifically tomatoes due to my acne).

  4. Stephanie on July 16, 2013 at 2:40 pm

I’d have to say moisturizer! I lived in the desert and have dry skin so I basically couldn’t live without it.

  5. Leah on July 16, 2013 at 2:40 pm

Clinique Moisturizer! I have been using it since I was in high school and rarely ever have breakouts. It’s the perfect moisturizer in my opinion!

  6. cassie on July 16, 2013 at 2:40 pm

ooo what a great giveaway!! I, like you, am not a huge skincare expert. I just tried the Yes to Carrots facewash and really like it. I also am enjoying trying different BB/CC creams with SPF of course.

  7. Jennifer on July 16, 2013 at 2:42 pm

Used clarisonic “mia” for an entire year and still loving it! Oh and don’t forget about aveeno sunscreen!!!

  8. Blake @ Blake Bakes on July 16, 2013 at 2:42 pm

I still haven’t found a skin care product that I absolutely love. But for hair care, I’m super into my new Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle shampoo and conditioner!

  12. Jenny on July 16, 2013 at 2:46 pm

I love my new sunscreen. Solar Tizo protection – its mineral based which I have to use as the chemical style makes me break out. But unlike other mineral sunscreens it isn’t greasy, shiny or chalky!

  13. Alicia on July 16, 2013 at 2:47 pm

The clarisonic is my new favorite. I can’t believe I put off buying it for so long.

  14. Isela on July 16, 2013 at 2:47 pm

I love Philosophy’s cleanser, Purity! cleans gently and effectively!

  15. Cathy on July 16, 2013 at 2:48 pm

In the summer I love Murad’s Oil-Control Mattifier. It really helps to eliminate shine and it has an SPF.

  16. Carey on July 16, 2013 at 2:49 pm

I love the Garnier under eye roller with tint. It makes my dark circles dissapear, and on mornings when I need to run out the door for a quck errand and don’t want to do a full makeup face, I can throw it on and not look like a zombie.

I started using Aveeno face cleansing pads…………….they are pretty amazing—just wet your face and the cleansing begins with the pad—-foam+cleanser=great results!
    I love this giveaway too!

  18. Alison on July 16, 2013 at 2:50 pm

I also love Moroccan oil for my hair and for my cuticles on both my hands and feet, I love using Vaseline. I have also been known to use it on my eyelashes which made them get thicker after I lost a bunch of them when I gave birth to my son. 🙂

  19. Jen on July 16, 2013 at 2:50 pm

The clarisonic is the best beauty tool for sure!

  20. *Andrea* on July 16, 2013 at 2:51 pm

I love Trader Joe’s Facial Cleansing pads!! Affordable and they work!

  21. Dee on July 16, 2013 at 2:51 pm

Dermalogica’s precleanse! It’s like coconut oil but a bit lighter, and removes every bit of makeup gently in seconds!

  22. Ashley on July 16, 2013 at 2:51 pm

Dermalogica Gentle Soothing Booster has made my red, blotchy, sensitive skin completely clear. It’s expensive but a little bottle lasts almost two years for me!

  23. Vivian on July 16, 2013 at 2:51 pm

Nutrogena foam cleanser, wrinkle cream, Morroccon oil,and elf face spritzer.

  24. Laura @ fuelingalife.wordpress.com on July 16, 2013 at 2:52 pm

I don’t like to wear makeup a lot, but when I do, I swear by Loreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Eyeliner!!

*Awesome trick to wake up tired eyes: I line the inner corner of my eyes with the white side of the pencil and then draw a thin, light line right above my upper lash-line using the the colored side. Then just a quick coat of mascara and my eyes look bright and wide awake! Hope this helps others with the same problem!

  25. Ashley on July 16, 2013 at 2:53 pm

I love my obagi vitamin c serum!!

  26. Jen R. on July 16, 2013 at 2:55 pm

    sea buckthorn oil!

  27. Emily p on July 16, 2013 at 2:55 pm

I’m pretty simple as well. No matter what I don’t leave home without SPF on my face. Right now, it’s just a target brand one.

  28. Daniela S. on July 16, 2013 at 2:55 pm

The only thing I use on my face is moisturizer. No specific brand but it has to have SPF and has to be fragrance free.

  29. Andrea on July 16, 2013 at 2:56 pm

Clairsonic for sure! Easy and effective. Would love to win!

  30. Nicole on July 16, 2013 at 2:56 pm

I am addicted to my Clairsonic. It’s made such a huge difference in my skin.

  31. Lymor on July 16, 2013 at 2:58 pm

I have this hair moisturizer from Israel that I really love. Besides that, my beauty routine is very minimal and I could use some help with this giveaway!!

  34. Maggie on July 16, 2013 at 3:00 pm

I love Moroccan oil as well!

  35. Christine on July 16, 2013 at 3:01 pm

Tinted moisturizer in general – so good for foundation-phobes like me.

  36. Tiffanie on July 16, 2013 at 3:01 pm

I love basic Dove bar soap.. I have used it for years and it never leaves my skin tight and dry.

  37. Mindy on July 16, 2013 at 3:01 pm

I’m in a huge skincare rut. I just moved to the midwest – holy humidity! My skin was breaking out worse than when I was a teenager. I ordered Proactiv in desperation and it was so harsh now my skin is peeling from dryness…disaster. I love that you say this is good for sensitive skin!

    • Jeni on July 19, 2013 at 1:50 am

Hi, I would love to tell you about Rodan and Fields Unblemish. It isn’t as drying for you skin and we also have a great line for sensitive skin called Soothe. If you would like to set up a time to talk you can find my email address on my site. Thanks.

I love the undercover pot from laura mercier. Its awesome!

  40. Kailey on July 16, 2013 at 3:02 pm

I keep meaning to try Moroccan oil! My hair could use a good de-frizzing…
I’m really similar when it comes to my skincare routine and keep it simple, but I can’t live without some kind of lip balm… Nivea and Baby Lips are my favorites right now!

  41. Tayla on July 16, 2013 at 3:02 pm

My favorite is Giovanni’s D:tox System with super antioxidants acai & goji berries 🙂

  42. Amanda on July 16, 2013 at 3:02 pm

Ooohhh!! I’m all about skincare (make-up not so much…tinted moisturizer w/SPF, mascara, & lip balm if that counts). I love my Clarisonic and, as far as products go, my argan oil since it’s great for skin, hair, nails, etc. The ultimate multi-tasker 🙂

  43. Kelly on July 16, 2013 at 3:02 pm

my only splurge in life…philosophy’s purity made simple. a gentle, yet effective cleanser.

  44. Stephanie on July 16, 2013 at 3:03 pm

I like the Yes To products and use the grapefruit exfoliating face wash and facial wipes.

  45. christina on July 16, 2013 at 3:03 pm

Mine would def be covergirl mascara…it rocks and is the best!!!

  46. Amanda on July 16, 2013 at 3:05 pm

Ooh, I’ve been wanting to try those! My favorite products lately have been Tarte eyeliner and Juice Beauty lipgloss!

  47. Gracie on July 16, 2013 at 3:05 pm

My favorite product is neutrogena oil free acne cleanser! It is so helpful!!!

  48. Kelly on July 16, 2013 at 3:06 pm

I am a beauty product junkie, but my favorite standby is the Olay facial cleansing cloths…not the pre-moistened ones! They keep my face clean, remove all traces of makeups, and give a nice glow!

  49. Melissa S. on July 16, 2013 at 3:06 pm

I’ve been using Clinique’s moisturizer since I was a teenager and now I’m 43. It’s the only one I’ve ever used. I have sensitive skin too so I’m a “if it’s not broke” girl too 🙂

  50. Kalena on July 16, 2013 at 3:07 pm

Clinique products are always my go-to:)
