Summer Shape Up 2014: Week 4

Happy last and BEST week of the Summer Shape Up! Is it just me, or did this one totally fly by? Remember that if you’d like to keep the challenge going, we’ll have our Facebook group up and you can repeat the challenge to make it eight weeks. I hope you’re feeling amazing, and I’ve loved your check-ins. Please send any success stories my way (fitnessista at gmail dot com, subject: SSU success!) and I’d love to feature them in a newsletter or Friday Faves. Thank you again to all of you for your participation, despite the holiday smack in the middle of the challenge. I have a feeling that Winter Shape Up will be a good one, too 🙂

I’m down in Southern California and it’s hot this week! I’m getting early morning workouts in to start my day off with some endorphins! 🙂

  5. Lindsey on July 7, 2014 at 11:42 am

  7. Megan @ The Skinny-Life on July 7, 2014 at 12:18 pm

I’m struggling with my fitness and I don’t know why. I recovered from my foot injury, but now my calf is strained. I’ve backed way off my workouts and started just doing speed walks, swimming & weight training. I don’t know what’s going on with my body, but everything feels really hard.

  8. Tracy on July 7, 2014 at 2:27 pm

Haha!! Love the “cherry” on top of the cupcake tank! So cute!

Rest day today. Still fighting a lingering cold but hoping tomorrow will be loads better and I have plenty of energy to tackle workout 4. 🙂

  11. shaina on July 8, 2014 at 1:30 am

I spent all of today either cleaning up after or snuggling a sick little boy instead of doing any form of exercise or prepping anything healthy for dinner. Can’t win em all I guess.

  12. RachelG on July 8, 2014 at 5:26 pm

    Zumba Fusion class tonight! 🙂

  13. Jeanne on July 8, 2014 at 7:57 pm

I got in 2 round of WO4 before pushing through a cycling class yesterday… It’s something I don’t normally do, but it felt so good afterwards! Tonight, we’re going on a sunset canoe ride tonight to kick off the weekend and give my legs a rest 🙂

  24. Sara on July 11, 2014 at 9:17 am

Today I did 50 minutes of lower body weights. Low pulse lunges, walking lunges, stability ball roll-ins, glute tucks, oh my. Hoping I’ll be able to walk tomorrow. 🙂

  25. Abby on July 11, 2014 at 9:24 am

Feeling a bit uninspired today… I may switch my days around and do Workout 4 just so I have a plan?

    • Fitnessista on July 11, 2014 at 11:05 am

      that’s a great idea!

  26. Laura on July 11, 2014 at 9:31 am

  27. Morgan on July 11, 2014 at 9:41 am

Life has totally gotten in the way of workouts this week and I find it so frustrating! Extra work hours, husband out of town, baseball 4 nights this week with the boys has left little to no time for workouts (or sleep or that matter). A late Friday night workout is in order tonight – workout 2 plus the HIIT challenge. Posting this as my commitment to make it happen!

    • Fitnessista on July 11, 2014 at 11:04 am

i’ll join you! i’ve missed the past couple of days of workouts too

      • Morgan on July 11, 2014 at 5:50 pm

Thanks lady! I managed to leave work early (crazy I know) and got my workout in! Enjoy yours 🙂

  28. Sara on July 11, 2014 at 9:54 am

Today I did a killer barre workout before work and after work I’m going to go for a walk with the dogs before I pick up the kiddos…then i think I will HAVE to have a mojito, right? National Mojito day! 🙂

  31. Courtney on July 11, 2014 at 12:03 pm

Surprisingly I am not that sore today from doing WO4 yesterday … that has to mean I’m getting stronger, right? Thinking of taking today off or doing a steady walk and stretch today at lunch. We will see what time allows!

  32. kelsey on July 11, 2014 at 12:43 pm
