8.16 Friday Faves
Hi friends! Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Itโs a pretty normal weekend around here with basketball, dance, time with friends, and time to plan and catch up for next week. Itโs also our anniversary ๐ Iโm looking forward to a family dinner with my favorite people; I canโt believe I actually got to marry to Starbucks guy and feel blessed every day for this beautiful life we have together.

Iโd love to hear what you have going on this weekend.
Itโs time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโre loving in the comments section below.
8.16 Friday Faves
Fashion + beauty + random:
New Amazon watch band! I got this to wear with me โreal peopleโ clothes aka non-workotut clothes, and the quality is surprisingly good.
I loooove this gentle exfoliator. It isnโt too abrasive for sensitive skin and is also unscented.
Tangle teezer! Our girlsโ friend had one of these and loves it, so I got some for the girls. The hype is real! It takes out tangles without pain and while the Morrocan oil always helps, this has been a gamechanger with all of the siwmming theyโve done.
Read, watch, listen:
The girls and I have been reading old American Girl books before bed and friends, they have stood the test of time. Theyโre just as lovely and interesting as I remember and the kids have adored them! Itโs been fun to share the thing that introduced me to historical fiction when I was Pโs age.
My friend Ana and I went to seeย It Ends with Us the other night – a weeknight movie with a friend felt like such a huge treat – and it was SOOOOO good. The book was ok for me – I get the hype but I donโt think sheโs the most captivating author, please donโt throw anything at me – but the movie was excellent. The casting was A+++ and it was very well done.

Mindset shifts to reduce the need for external validation.
Fitness, health, life, and good eats:
Iโm on the prowl for quick, tasty, healthy dinner recipes to switch up our usual rotation. Iโm back into school mody and activities shuffle with the kids, and sometimes we get home at dinnertime (or past dinner). We have our usual faves, but if you have any family meals you love that I can either make in advance, make in 15-20 minutes, or pop in the Instant Pot, Iโd appreciate some recs so much!
Back on the Nutrisense train for me and itโs been very helpful to see the data after a summer of restaurant food in Spain and Hawaii. Iโm focusing on blood sugar and hormones this fall and this is one of my favorite tools. You can check out my full review here and use GINA50 here for $50 off.ย
Functional testing sale! Both the starter kit and the Big 5 are on sale until Sunday. They only do this twice a year. If youโre interested in doing some digging to find the true root causes for how youโre feeling, I highly recommend these tests. Theyโve helped me when I thought things were hopeless, and theyโre the tests I read every day for clients and friends. If you decide to purchase the Big 5 or Starter kit, send me an email gina@fitnessista.com subject TEST and your order number, and Iโd be happy to provide a complimentary call to go over the results with you.
Heads up- weโre going to be doing another community detox in September, so Iโll have all of the details up next week!
Have a happy weekend and Iโll see ya soon. Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
xoxo

Happy Anniversary!
