A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended
Hi friends ๐ Howโs your morning going? Hope youโre having a wonderful day. <3
So the blog is 3 years old!!
The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโt want to overload the week with too much going on.
For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:
1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and
2. the events arenโt what matter– itโs about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโฆ I just write it, youโre the ones who show up for the party ๐
This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโs changed and evolved with me, and Iโve had so much fun writing every word.
As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐
To go with the โ3 yearsโ theme, there will be 3 different winners:
-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)
-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)
(Iโm OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)
-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ curling iron ($140)
(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโs life-changing)
+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐
This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:
***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.
Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐
Love you guys,
Gina
Iโm loving the new family posts so much, so please keep them up! Iโm not quite at that stage in my life yet, but I will definitely be coming back to these posts for advice when I am ๐ Congrats again! As a busy college student, it can be hard to balance school, work, & studying with food & fitness. Iโd love to hear how you did it all and any tips you may have (I think one was to study at Starbucks ๐ )! I know a cook book is something you have on the backburner, but I would totally be all over that if you get the chance to publish one! The fashion posts are great too; maybe you could do one on how your style/hairstyle has evolved. Those are always fun ๐ ps so awesome of you & the pilot to be sponsoring this- way too generous!
More delicious and creative recipes–your sweet potato black bean chili is a monthly staple for me ๐
I like the new family tab, but I really like the shenanigans and pictures of Bella-tude (Bella with style). It would be fun to see a post written by her, including pictures she would take if y’all let her have a camera.
Love the baby posts and can’t wait to read more about the lil cutie ๐ Happy blogiversary and thanks for such a sweet giveaway!
Love the workouts and would like to see even more of them! I’m a PT myself, and you have great workout ideas for me AND my clients!
I want to see pictures of your bundle of joy – duh! Maybe that’s a given? ๐
I love the reviews of current workout trends and I would love to see that continue along with equipment reviews/breakdowns.
AH, happy 3 years! What an amazing giveaway! I say keep doing what you’re doing because it works! <3
Happy Anniversary! I am looking forward to baby pictures and stories. ๐
I already love your blog so much, but I would love to read more about how you adjust your lifestyle as you welcome Baby Fitnessista into the world! I can’t wait to see how you and the Pilot balance all of the things that are most important to you. You are such an inspiration!
I love your recipes and fitness moves! Keep them coming….they are awesome!
In the next year I would love to see more fashion posts on the blog, and I am looking forward to seeing how all the aspects of your life (food, fashion, and family!) come together!
I would like to see how you will remain devoted to your health and happiness as you transition into the next phase of your life-home-owning (and decorating), and of course being a mommy! I am sure you will continue to inspire us all!
I would love to see more recipes! Even simple things like what you put in your smoothies, or how you cook eggs. I have no idea how to do any of this stuff, so explaining the basics would be great!
Happy blogaversary, Gina! I’d like to see more pregnancy-related posts and I always like your insights into military wifehood!
Congrats on 3 years! I am so glad I recently found your blog. I have really enjoyed the work out posts (strength training especially) but I enjoy hearing about everything else too- from fashion to baby posts!
Congratulations Gina! I have to admit, I always read but never comment on your blog. I am a busy mom and I find your energy and positive attitude inspire me to get a workout in and eat healthy. Thanks for such a great read. Can’t wait to hear more about the baby news as he/she grows and joins your family! I just would like you to continue your energetic posts and look forward to reading about your exciting experiences ahead of you!
Whoa! Can’t believe you have been doing this for three years! I’m basically obsessed with your blog : ) I’m still dying to try those famous macaroons and the lulu jacket… I am dying over here.
Props to your distraction turned career!
I can’t wait to read about what you will feed your baby — if you’re going to make the food, etc and also your journey back to dt, etc. after you have the baby!
Happy 3 year blogaversary!!! I would love to see some good prego workouts and post-partum workouts in the next year, in addition to your normal summer shape-ups, eats, etc. I think it’s the perfect time for you to do it, and since I’m 14 weeks pregnant, I (selfishly) want your guidance to get back in shape once my bambino joins us!!
I wanna see more baby pics, obviously!! ๐
Tweeted!!
Happy 3 year anniversary!! I’ve been loving the recent family posts and would also love to hear more recipe ideas. Your blog is one of my must-reads every day – keep up the great work! ๐
Happy Blogiversary! I want to see more about your pregnancy through out the year. Love your family posts!
Congrats on 3 years! In this upcoming year, I can’t wait to see more family posts!
Happy blogiversary! I’d like to continue to see how you balance fitness with everyday life.
On your blog for the next year, i’m so excited to see baby pics!!!!! ๐
But also I’d like to see more exercise moves just to incorporate into everyday routine!
Oh and more fashion duhhhhh!
Looking forward to more baby news! ๐
Hi Gina,
I love your blog and I’m so happy for you and your growing family! I hope to see more workout tips – strength training in particular – along with your pregnancy progress and how your routine will evolve as a mother.
Thanks!
I’d love to see more about how you are preparing for the baby! Loved your post yesterday on the books – maybe more about your birth plan as it develops, if you will be taking any classes, how you are navigating pregnancy!
Looking forward to more baby news!
I can never get enough healthy dessert recipes!
Dang! I was so eager to comment, I forgot to say what I would like to see in the blog! I can’t WAIT to hear more adventures in family stuff! I also love when you talk about the pilot as a workout buddy. I am super interested in learning more helpful hints about staying active with your significant other. I think sharing an active lifestyle can be a challenge, but also a key in any healthy relationship. I’d love to hear your tips and experiences with that!
Amazing blog, I dont miss a post! I would love to see more posts for being a fit and fab momma!
I adore your blog! Somehow you are able to teach without preaching. I always feel like I am reading an email from a girlfriend with every entry that you write. Keep up what you are doing! I love the new Family section and I cannot wait to see you and Pilot adapting to these new amazing changes going on!
BABY STUFF!! My husband and I are waiting another year…but I totally have baby fever! So excited for you guys!!
Congrats on 3 years!
I live off your breakfast cookie, so I would like to see more recipes in that sense…quick, easy, to go.
Thanks!
Congrats on three years!!!!! That’s SO exciting. Right now I am LOVING the summer shape up grocery shopping lists and meal ideas, and I would love to see more things like that throughout the year. Sometimes I get a little too worried about planning every meal and shopping to get EVERYTHING I need for the week, but these lists and the meal ideas really reinforced for me that I know how to eat healthy, and that stocking up on healthy staples makes it SO much easier than what I was doing before (AND saves money). I also can’t wait for more family posts!
I love your blog how it is but if I had to ask for something it would be pre and post workout foods/smoothies. And balancing life (work, fitness, fun and blogging).
Hi, I love your tasty inventive food ideas. I am a recent follower and started making the breakfast cookie this week – love it. I’m always looking for healthy food inspiration!
You’re an amazing person and I’m so glad three years ago you chose to share your life with the world through this little ol’ blog. I truly believe you make the world a better place. As far as what I’d like to see more of, well I’d like to see the craziest food combinations you come up with while pregnant. ๐ Also, more workouts/ different types of workouts. I like being introduced to new fitness trends I’ve never heard of before!
Oh, one other random idea – not sure if you’d be down for this or not but what about a series of before and afters with your readers? Readers who have lost weight, got fit, got more nutritious. It can be anything – before and afters of their fridge, their workout routines, their bodies, their meals, their lifestyles, etc.
I just started tuning into your blog- btw- I think I’m now hooked, and have joined in on the fun at the perfect time for the exciting news. Congratulations!
I would like to see more fashion posts and of course family posts. I’m getting married in September so I’m sure the family thing will be approaching us in a few years as well!
I’m excited to see how you keep up with your healthy lifestyle while preggers. I love the fashion posts, and it will be interesting to see how that changes as well (I’m sure you’ll continue to look super cute and fashionable!). I’d like to read more about all the different classes you’re teaching and learning about – since you’re exposed to so many things, it would be a great way for us to get the lowdown on some of the many options. I also love the Show Me Your Fit series, so inspiring! Obviously, I’m a fan of the blog ๐ Keep up the good work!
I Like you on Facebook
happy blogiversary! Thanks for the giveaways, these are all spectacular!
I am excited to follow you through the birth of your baby-issata/pilot!!!! Thank you for showing how to deal with a distant loved one. I’m dating a Marine who will be deployed either in August or March–but I’m moving 400 miles away this sunday, then to Australia for a year so we’re going to have to wait it out and see what happens.
Congratulations, Gina! The blog is better than ever and I thank you for sharing your life with all of us ๐ I remember the first time I found your blog – you had posted your finds from an epic shopping trip and I thought “Hey! Now here’s a lady I can relate to!” It’s been so awesome to meet you, feast with you and to have learned Zumba from you! Cheers to many more years of blogging at The Fitnessista!
What I’d love to see on the blog in the next year: Teach us how to dance! For serious. You should shoot a short video with a choreographed routine, and then we can all learn it in the comfort of our own homes! I have two left feet and could really stand to learn some sweet moves ๐
I was just looking at that jacket in teal at the store last week. **SWOON** Happy blog birthday G!! Your blog is the first blog I started reading in 2008. I have been reading it each and everyday because your blog is rockin. I love that you share your life, bangin work outs for us, yummy eats, pupper pictures, shenanigans… I love it all. I honestly can’t think of something to change… Three cheers for another three years ๐
Congratulations! This is quite a big month for you :).
I would love to hear more about your family and how you manage balancing your healthy lifestyle with a new baby!
I’m 20 weeks pregnant with our first, and would love to see what exercises you suggest pre- and post-baby – plus I can’t wait to read about you’ll be feeding your baby! Love your blog – thanks!!
Congratulations on 3 years! (I’m a new follower… still trying to get caught up with past posts.)
I’d love to see more workout programs (summer shape up is great!) and how you choose what to order when eating out.
