A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

So the blog is 3 years old!!

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโ€™t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events arenโ€™t what matter– itโ€™s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐Ÿ™‚ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโ€ฆ I just write it, youโ€™re the ones who show up for the party ๐Ÿ™‚

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโ€™s changed and evolved with me, and Iโ€™ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐Ÿ˜€

    Iโ€™m loving the new family posts so much, so please keep them up! Iโ€™m not quite at that stage in my life yet, but I will definitely be coming back to these posts for advice when I am ๐Ÿ™‚ Congrats again! As a busy college student, it can be hard to balance school, work, & studying with food & fitness. Iโ€™d love to hear how you did it all and any tips you may have (I think one was to study at Starbucks ๐Ÿ˜‰ )! I know a cook book is something you have on the backburner, but I would totally be all over that if you get the chance to publish one! The fashion posts are great too; maybe you could do one on how your style/hairstyle has evolved. Those are always fun ๐Ÿ™‚ ps so awesome of you & the pilot to be sponsoring this- way too generous!

    I like the new family tab, but I really like the shenanigans and pictures of Bella-tude (Bella with style). It would be fun to see a post written by her, including pictures she would take if y’all let her have a camera.

    Happy 3 year blogaversary!!! I would love to see some good prego workouts and post-partum workouts in the next year, in addition to your normal summer shape-ups, eats, etc. I think it’s the perfect time for you to do it, and since I’m 14 weeks pregnant, I (selfishly) want your guidance to get back in shape once my bambino joins us!!

    Dang! I was so eager to comment, I forgot to say what I would like to see in the blog! I can’t WAIT to hear more adventures in family stuff! I also love when you talk about the pilot as a workout buddy. I am super interested in learning more helpful hints about staying active with your significant other. I think sharing an active lifestyle can be a challenge, but also a key in any healthy relationship. I’d love to hear your tips and experiences with that!

    Congrats on three years!!!!! That’s SO exciting. Right now I am LOVING the summer shape up grocery shopping lists and meal ideas, and I would love to see more things like that throughout the year. Sometimes I get a little too worried about planning every meal and shopping to get EVERYTHING I need for the week, but these lists and the meal ideas really reinforced for me that I know how to eat healthy, and that stocking up on healthy staples makes it SO much easier than what I was doing before (AND saves money). I also can’t wait for more family posts!

    You’re an amazing person and I’m so glad three years ago you chose to share your life with the world through this little ol’ blog. I truly believe you make the world a better place. As far as what I’d like to see more of, well I’d like to see the craziest food combinations you come up with while pregnant. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Also, more workouts/ different types of workouts. I like being introduced to new fitness trends I’ve never heard of before!

    Oh, one other random idea – not sure if you’d be down for this or not but what about a series of before and afters with your readers? Readers who have lost weight, got fit, got more nutritious. It can be anything – before and afters of their fridge, their workout routines, their bodies, their meals, their lifestyles, etc.

    I’m excited to see how you keep up with your healthy lifestyle while preggers. I love the fashion posts, and it will be interesting to see how that changes as well (I’m sure you’ll continue to look super cute and fashionable!). I’d like to read more about all the different classes you’re teaching and learning about – since you’re exposed to so many things, it would be a great way for us to get the lowdown on some of the many options. I’m dating a Marine who will be deployed either in August or March–but I’m moving 400 miles away this sunday, then to Australia for a year so we’re going to have to wait it out and see what happens.
