A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended
Hi friends ๐ Howโs your morning going? Hope youโre having a wonderful day. <3
So the blog is 3 years old!!
The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโt want to overload the week with too much going on.
For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:
1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and
2. the events arenโt what matter– itโs about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโฆ I just write it, youโre the ones who show up for the party ๐
This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโs changed and evolved with me, and Iโve had so much fun writing every word.
As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐
To go with the โ3 yearsโ theme, there will be 3 different winners:
-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)
-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)
(Iโm OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)
-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ curling iron ($140)
(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโs life-changing)
+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐
This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:
***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.
Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐
Love you guys,
Gina
I would love to see your maternity fashion. At 21 weeks, I just look fat (not pregnant), so I’m curious how you’ll dress up your bump to prevent the ‘just fat’ look!
Happy Bday to my new favorite blog ๐ I’m looking forward to more amazing food ideas for snacks and dinners as well as some great workouts. I’m relative new to following your blog and I absolutely love your Fitness page and all the new and challenging workout ideas. Also, I’m looking forward to reading about your pregnancy progress…makes me want to start a family soon too!
I love your workouts, like summer shape up as well as moves of the week. Happy Birthday Blog!
Happy 3rd blogiversary! I would love to see even more recipes in the next year.
Happy blogiversary! and congrats on the baby! I look forward to hearing about how your family/life will be growing and changing. And your workouts and meals are always fantastic to hear about too!
Your favorite things are AWESOME! Happy blog-o-versary! Tom’s shoes were something I was skeptical about but now love. I want to try the macaroons, too!
I tweeted too and am a fan
Hi Gina, i am new to your blog and I have to say I love it. i am 49 years old , and let myself get out of shape and slowly but surely, time has been catching up with me. It happened slowly, 5 lbs a year maybe, loss of muscle as I age, this round lump in my tummy (don’t even know where that came from) . Anyway, I am finding your blog very helpful and encouraging to help me get myself back into shape. We are never too old, to get our act together. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us… ๐ Oh and Happy Anniversary!!!
I’d love to see… just what I’m seeing now! Love the balance on your blog. Happy blogaversary!!
Happy Blogiversary! Congratulations on 3 years! I love your blog – it keeps me motivated and inspired from your recipes to your workouts! I’d like to see more about how your fitness routine (and overall life!) is modified and changes as you move along in your pregnancy. I actually was due in December this year but had a miscarriage last month… reading about your great news last week gave me hope and makes me look forward again to getting a family started!
I would love to see how youre going to stay in shape while preggers!
Id love to see lots of baby fashion posts ๐
I’d love to see continued workouts! ๐
In the next year I would like to see you incorporate nutrition/yoga/exercise in a good format for pregnancy. Although not everyone will relate, this is an important issue for people who visit your site as instructors/teachers. A LOT of times women who are pregnant become invisible or scarey in an exercise/yoga class and they should not be expected to do their own research. Teachers/instructors should know how to support them at their stage in the cycle of womanhood. There is separate classes but they should be able to come to certain classes that are appropriate for them at the various stages. I think you will learn a lot in your experience over the next 7 months. Then there is the whole post pregancy thing. You will learn a LOT you can share.
I would like to see how you incorporate healthy eating and physical activity once the baby comes! I don’t have children yet, but can only imagine how tough it must be to maintain your exercise/training, eat healthy AND raise a baby!
Thanks!
I adore the shape up plans, weight training ideas. Most looking forward to your pregnancy/baby journey. My hubby and I are going to start trying for a family soon and I would love some healthy inspiration for this phase of life:)
i just like to see what your up to! oh and house decorating stuff will be fun too!
I’m a midwifery student, so I’m excited to keep learning more about your pregnancy. Also, info on exercise & pregnancy would be great!
I’ve been loving the exercise reviews & would love to see more– even though I live in a small town without access to some of the programs, it’s great motivation to look for DVDs or find something similar at my local gym!
Happy 3-year anniversary Fitnessista!!! Gina, your blog is my DAILY OBSESSION, and I love love love your adorably cheerful posts – learning about how you weave fitness into your everyday life so seamlessly has really taught me how to do it too! And we are all SO EXCITED for the arrival of little baby Fitnessista-Pilot!!!! Let’s see, in the next year, I would love to see….Fashion Friday FITNESS Posts!! You and I seriously have such a similar fashion style (Express is totally my go-to store too!!), and I would LOVE to learn more from you on how to look HOT in workout wear, how to layer and coordinate, what basics to invest in, how to dress appropriately for the company gym, how to find a good sports bra, what kind of shoes to wear for Zumba, etc. Anyway, I cannot WAIT for all the exciting new things in store for you and the bloggie in the upcoming year, and am SO HAPPY for you!!!! ๐ xoxo
i have to admit, i am a fan of all things baby!
I can’t wait to read about your pregnancy adventure! My daughter is almost one and I literally feel like i was just pregnant yesterday!
I’m excited to continue reading about your blog as your pregnancy continues. I love you great attitude and fun personality!
I am looking forward to seeing how you cope with things like mood swings and being tired. As an IBD patient, I have spent a good amount of time on prednisone which sends my body and emotions haywire. When all I want to do is down a 5 hour energy and eat ice cream I look to your blog (and others) for support so I’m looking forward to new ideas as your body starts to changed. Congrats on the 3 years. I remember last year when it was two, and the year before that as well…
Happy Anniversary!! I would love to see baby related stuff!!
I would love to see your exercise plan while you are pregnant versus when you are not pregnant! What you had to change, what you like/dislike about the change, etc.
You’re so generous! I’ve loved your blog since I first started reading it last year and always look forward to your posts. I would love to see (and am sure I will!) just your daily updates/goings on of your little pilot/fitnessista on it’s way. SO excited for you guys! ๐
Just getting into your blog and I’d just like to see more of it! ๐
i wish i tweeted! i totally want that hair wand. i’ve never tried macaroons, and i’d totally want to try them!
anyway – i think that the blog should keep evolving as it has. i truly love the shape up plans, and your adventures whether it’s traveling or with the baby (usually i ignore baby things cuz i don’t want kids myself) but you keep it separate pretty well. so i don’t mind at all!
I am interested to hear how you balance working out and pregnancy – I know it is different for each and every person, but I have this huge dream that I will be able to continue to be super fit when/if I ever get pregnant.
Great giveaway!!! As a SAHM, I’d love to read/see how you balance having a baby with maintaining fitness.

I want to see how the Fitnessista conquer’s the baby weightloss challenge! And more shenanigans around Tucson and how you and the pilot have made it your own ๐
Hi!
Congrats on the blogiversary! ๐
I love your strength training posts, would also love to see some yoga- maybe some sort of tutorial (video?!) of some basic poses etc. for a beginner! Love the idea of yoga but don’t have time to go to a studio and have never taken a class. Got some video’s, but it is still intimidating a bit! ๐
Thanks!
