A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

Hi friends ๐Ÿ™‚ Howโ€™s your morning going? Hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day. <3

So the blog is 3 years old!!

roon

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโ€™t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events arenโ€™t what matter– itโ€™s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐Ÿ™‚ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโ€ฆ I just write it, youโ€™re the ones who show up for the party ๐Ÿ™‚

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโ€™s changed and evolved with me, and Iโ€™ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐Ÿ˜€

To go with the โ€œ3 yearsโ€ theme, there will be 3 different winners:

-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)

-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)

image image

(Iโ€™m OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)

-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ€ curling iron ($140)

image romper

(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโ€™s life-changing)

+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐Ÿ˜€

roons (3)

This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:

***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.

Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐Ÿ™‚

Love you guys,

Gina

I would love to see your maternity fashion. At 21 weeks, I just look fat (not pregnant), so I’m curious how you’ll dress up your bump to prevent the ‘just fat’ look!

Hi Gina, i am new to your blog and I have to say I love it. i am 49 years old , and let myself get out of shape and slowly but surely, time has been catching up with me. It happened slowly, 5 lbs a year maybe, loss of muscle as I age, this round lump in my tummy (don’t even know where that came from) . Anyway, I am finding your blog very helpful and encouraging to help me get myself back into shape. We are never too old, to get our act together. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us… ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oh and Happy Anniversary!!!

  9. Shannon on June 14, 2011 at 11:29 am

I’d love to see… just what I’m seeing now! Love the balance on your blog. Happy blogaversary!!

Happy Blogiversary! Congratulations on 3 years! I love your blog – it keeps me motivated and inspired from your recipes to your workouts! I’d like to see more about how your fitness routine (and overall life!) is modified and changes as you move along in your pregnancy. I actually was due in December this year but had a miscarriage last month… reading about your great news last week gave me hope and makes me look forward again to getting a family started!

In the next year I would like to see you incorporate nutrition/yoga/exercise in a good format for pregnancy. Although not everyone will relate, this is an important issue for people who visit your site as instructors/teachers. A LOT of times women who are pregnant become invisible or scarey in an exercise/yoga class and they should not be expected to do their own research. Teachers/instructors should know how to support them at their stage in the cycle of womanhood. There is separate classes but they should be able to come to certain classes that are appropriate for them at the various stages. I think you will learn a lot in your experience over the next 7 months. Then there is the whole post pregancy thing. You will learn a LOT you can share.

  15. chloe @ 321delish on June 14, 2011 at 11:30 am

I would like to see how you incorporate healthy eating and physical activity once the baby comes! I don’t have children yet, but can only imagine how tough it must be to maintain your exercise/training, eat healthy AND raise a baby!

    Thanks!

I’ve been loving the exercise reviews & would love to see more– even though I live in a small town without access to some of the programs, it’s great motivation to look for DVDs or find something similar at my local gym!

Happy 3-year anniversary Fitnessista!!! And we are all SO EXCITED for the arrival of little baby Fitnessista-Pilot!!!! Let’s see, in the next year, I would love to see….Fashion Friday FITNESS Posts!! I am looking forward to seeing how you cope with things like mood swings and being tired. As an IBD patient, I have spent a good amount of time on prednisone which sends my body and emotions haywire. When all I want to do is down a 5 hour energy and eat ice cream I look to your blog (and others) for support so I’m looking forward to new ideas as your body starts to changed. Congrats on the 3 years. I remember last year when it was two, and the year before that as well…

  25. Taryn on June 14, 2011 at 11:31 am

Happy Anniversary!! I would love to see baby related stuff!!

  26. Amanda on June 14, 2011 at 11:32 am

  29. erin on June 14, 2011 at 11:32 am

i wish i tweeted! i totally want that hair wand. i’ve never tried macaroons, and i’d totally want to try them!

anyway – i think that the blog should keep evolving as it has. i truly love the shape up plans, and your adventures whether it’s traveling or with the baby (usually i ignore baby things cuz i don’t want kids myself) but you keep it separate pretty well. so i don’t mind at all!

  30. Kierstan @ Life {and running} in Iowa on June 14, 2011 at 11:33 am

I am interested to hear how you balance working out and pregnancy – I know it is different for each and every person, but I have this huge dream that I will be able to continue to be super fit when/if I ever get pregnant.

    Hi!
    Congrats on the blogiversary! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love your strength training posts, would also love to see some yoga- maybe some sort of tutorial (video?!) of some basic poses etc. for a beginner! Love the idea of yoga but don’t have time to go to a studio and have never taken a class. Got some video’s, but it is still intimidating a bit! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks!
