A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

So the blog is 3 years old!!

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didn’t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events aren’t what matter– it’s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet 🙂 You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it is… I just write it, you’re the ones who show up for the party 🙂

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. It’s changed and evolved with me, and I’ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway 🙂 I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot 😀

    Hey Gina,

    I would like to see more workout options, or fun cardio routines. I know you have a list on your ‘fitness’ link, it doesn’t seem the most user friendly… What I would really LOVE is a Fitnessista workout DVD!! You could do one of those 2 parters, a 1/2 hour cardio and 1/2 hour weights, or maybe even 3 parts with a yoga segment?!? My friend did her own pregnancy dvds and markets them, so it must be possible to do it yourself! I would buy one 🙂

    Congrats on turning 3, its gonna be a big year! I’d love to see more exercises that I can incorporate into my workouts to shake things up and target different muscles. Oh and I like hearing about your pregnancy, especially because we’re considering having one of our own in the next few years; and there always seems to be things that they don’t tell you until you start researching because you’ve got one of your own on the way and you’re left going “what? No way? Why don’t people tell you this stuff before you start cooking the bun?” 🙂

    Hi Gina! Never commented before, but have been reading your blog religiously for the past 2 1/2 years.

    For next year, I’d love to hear more about your baby journey. Personally, having babies terrifies me (I just finished university and everything terrifies me at this point), but you make it look awesome!

    I think it would also be cool if you did a post on eating healthily with nut allergies. I love all of your recipes/suggestions, but as so much stuff contains almonds, it’d be great to see a post suggesting alternatives.

    I really love the workout plans that you create and would love to see more of those throughout the year. I would also like if you wrote more about how you are keeping yourself healthy throughout your pregnancy, what foods you are eating/avoiding and exercises you are doing/avoiding.

    Well I think your blog is just absolutely fabulous to begin with – but more gluten-free recipes would be great along with more workouts – I still rock out to some of your elliptical workouts (I get bored verrrry easy on those “things”)! Happy three years!!!!!

    I just started a fitness/healthy eating/lifestyle change after graduating from college a month ago (I call this my “big-girl” lifestyle – haha). A friend recommended your blog to me and I read it EVERY day now (sometimes twice or three times 🙂 I have been starting my day with breakfast cookies and cookie dough cereal and following the summer shape-up and have lost 4 pounds!
