A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

Hi friends 🙂 How’s your morning going? Hope you’re having a wonderful day. <3

So the blog is 3 years old!!

roon

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didn’t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events aren’t what matter– it’s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet 🙂 You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it is… I just write it, you’re the ones who show up for the party 🙂

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. It’s changed and evolved with me, and I’ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway 🙂 I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot 😀

To go with the “3 years” theme, there will be 3 different winners:

-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)

-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)

image image

(I’m OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)

-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1” curling iron ($140)

image romper

(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because it’s life-changing)

+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice 😀

roons (3)

This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:

***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.

Thank you again for an incredible 3 years 🙂

Love you guys,

Gina

Is it bad that I want to see more pregnancy related stuff?!?! I am no where near getting preggers, but have been totally fascinated by what you are going through! Would love to see how your eats and exercise routines change and how you get back in the non preggers mode once the little nugget is born! Good luck to you and the pilot and have blog anniversary!

    Hi Gina!

I’ve been reading your blog for several months now and it is part of why I am motivated to get active and eat healthy! I’ve started attending a learn to run program, and I am also rowing with a team in a fixed seat regatta!

Hearing that you are expecting a little one made me even more excited to read your blog, because my husband and I have decided to try for our own little one!

I look forward to reading more about the challanges of exercising, eating right while expecting.

    Thanks!
    Maggie

  28. Amelia on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

Yay, I can’t believe it’s been three years! And I can’t believe I’ve been lurking here for almost the same amount of time! I love all of your recipes, and would love to see more of them in the future. Your recipes got me started on my weight loss, and since January 2010, I’ve lost 40 pounds. I’ve got a little more to go, but I’m feeling fantastic. Any time I need more inspiration, I have my favorite pink blog to come back to for more recipes and encouragement. Thank you!

  29. Kelly on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

Congratulations on 3 years! I’ve really enjoyed reading about your food, your life adventures, your workouts and just your all-around positive attitude. Also, it’s fun to read about a fellow Tucsonan, especially since you’re back in Tucson now. (Btw, when my husband and I visited in October, he was constantly pointing out the warthogs flying overhead. He loves planes.)

I’m sure what I want to see over the next year is something you’re already going to do without even trying, but I am really interested in how you incorporate your workouts and taking care of yourself as you get more and more pregnant. I’m hoping to get pregnant within the next few months (fingers crossed!), and I’m interested in learning more about staying healthy while your body is going through these big changes. There’s this woman I see often at the Y who inspires me. She’s about 6 months pregnant and is still swimming laps a few times a week. I’m sure you’ll inspire me too!

  30. Amy Seifert on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

The baby!!! Okay well in addition to the baby I would love to see more shape-ups. They are so motivating and give me a plan of action when I need it. I especially love the meal ideas.

  31. Rebecca on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

i am obviously excited to see baby fitnesspilot within the next year!! besides that, i would love another solo spin sesh (i have loved them in the past!), and also maybe a go-to upper body and go-to lower body weights workout, sometimes i just dont want to think or be creative and most of your shape-up workouts are full body+cardio…congrats on 3 great years!

  32. Allison on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

i love your seasonal shape ups! more more 🙂 oh and more baby posts! i am nowhere near ready for babies but your honest posts are so much fun to read!

  33. Katie N. on June 14, 2011 at 12:26 pm

Happy blog birthday! I really like the mix of topics you have going and can wait to see all this next year has in store for you and your little family!

  36. Sarah S on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

i’d like to see babies on the blog next year! 🙂 i’ve seen a few blogs that have shifted focus when the author got pregnant (although the authors still try, it’s obvious their blogs are no longer where their passions are), and i love how you’re incorporating your pregnancy so seamlessly into things… i look forward to seeing you do so when your new addition is born too!

  37. Sarah on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

I would love to see more recipes and how your workouts and eats balance with the new baby. We are still working that one out with our 6 month old 🙂

  38. denise on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

Happy three years! Congrats! Keep coming with the innovative recipes and all those workouts that spice things up! I love that I can use your workouts in and outside of the gym! I wouldn’t change a thing!

  39. jc on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

i’d love to see beautiful pictures of your future baby 🙂 I am sure he/she will be beautiful inside and out just like you!

  40. Elise F on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

    More recipes. 🙂

  41. Shari B. (FitFeat) on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

First, congrats on 3 years blogging Gina. When I first found your blog almost 2 years ago, I went back and read every post from the first year. And I don’t think I’ve missed a single one since! 🙂

That jacket is so flippin’ FAB! I love it!

One of the things I’d love to see in the next year is how you adjust your training and eating around your pregnancy. (It looks like I’m in good company – so do most of the other commenters!)

And while your baby might not be on solid food by this time next year, something I’d be super interested in seeing is what foods you intend to feed the lil’ one. Like will you make your own baby food purees, etc. I think it would be interesting to see what foods babies enjoy!

And I think The Pilot should do a WMOW vid on diaper-changin’ dads!!! 😉

    Have a great day!

    Happy Blogiversary!
I’d like to see more workouts that DON’T involve equipment. I don’t have access to things like weights, balls, etc. so can only use what is already in my house and my own body weight.

  43. jc on June 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm

i follow you on twitter and tweeted under junieeee

I’d love to hear about everything baby! I JUST found out I’m pregnant last weekend so all I’m thinking about is baby baby baby. My husband’s also a military officer and we’re transferring (hopefully across country) again next summer, so I love moving and decorating posts, too. And I love your fashion posts. 🙂

  47. Sara on June 14, 2011 at 12:28 pm
