A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended
Hi friends ๐ Howโs your morning going? Hope youโre having a wonderful day. <3
So the blog is 3 years old!!
The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโt want to overload the week with too much going on.
For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:
1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and
2. the events arenโt what matter– itโs about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโฆ I just write it, youโre the ones who show up for the party ๐
This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโs changed and evolved with me, and Iโve had so much fun writing every word.
As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐
To go with the โ3 yearsโ theme, there will be 3 different winners:
-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)
-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)
(Iโm OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)
-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ curling iron ($140)
(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโs life-changing)
+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐
This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:
***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.
Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐
Love you guys,
Gina
Congrats on your anniversary! I don’t think you need to change a thing; I love your balance of fitness, healthy eating/cooking and fashion along with everyday happenings. I’m excited to follow your journey into motherhood and learn your tips for continuing to maintain a healthy balance.
I would love to see additional strength training moves
I’d like to see how your food choices adapt/change during pregnancy and when the new baby is born. Have you and the Pilot talked about whether the baby will eat more like you or him? Interesting stuff! ๐
I am SO looking forward to family updates in the next year!! I’m super excited to see the baby and all that comes with it. ๐ As for food and fitness – I’d say just keep on keepin’ on. You’re doing a fantastic job, and your blog is so inspiring and helpful for so, so many people.
I went into my first lululemon yesterday and loved it while in Toronto. I may want to buy everything in the store, but luckily we don’t have one where I live. Congrats on all the great things happening for you and your hubby! Exciting times!
I would love to see a post about how you and the Pilot decided on the name of your little baby (once you guys do decide on a name!). I would also love to see a post about how much your weight lifting routine changes with each month of pregnancy.
I’d like to see how you incorporate exercise with pregnancy
I have loved reading about your little family even before the great news about your new addition, and can’t wait to read more about it!
Congrats on the 3 year anniversary!!!!
In the next year, I would like to see exercises that can be modified for pregnancy! I’ve been kinda slacking in the exercise department since I found out I was pregnant, and part of the reason being I’m scared I’m doing something I shouldn’t be doing ๐
I’d love to see you post more workouts that don’t require gym equipment to do them. I don’t belong to a gym but I have dumbbells at home. Happy blogiversary!
I just recently found this blog and check it every day and just love it! I love reading your fashion posts and health posts! THis year i am so looking forward to reading all about your pregnancy!!
I can’t wait to see your family grow in the next year!! And I found out your blogiversary and my wedding anniversary are the same age! Happy 3 years and many more to come!
Happy Blogiversary! I’m REALLY looking forward to all of your family posts over the next year. It’s difficult to think of many improvements because the blog is already so well-rounded. But it would be great to see more workout videos. =) (
I am going to lvoe seeing how you and the pilot welcome your new bundle of joy! Becoming a family.. in your new place!
Oh that sounds amazing Gina! I would love to see more healthy eating tips and meal ideas over the next year, related to your gluten-free diet and how you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle while being pregnant! I love your blog so much because you show that eating healthy is all about balance and most importantly enjoying life. Thanks so much for providing such an inspirational source for many!
Happy Blogiversary! I am looking forward to seeing how you eat/workout for a healthy pregnancy, and am also excited to hear about your experience with your midwife! I hope to start a family in the next year or so, and want to be as informed as possible! ๐
Congrats on 3 years! I love your blog, and read it everyday! I like how you post about different diet fabs and new workouts.
Keep up the great post ๐
Congrats on 3 years! I have read for years and feel like I have done nothing but comment non-stop in the past few days after never commenting. =) De-lurking, I guess!
I would love to see a post about modifying workouts for injuries. I injured my knee and as I’ve been recovering I find it hard to do a lot of normal workouts.
Loving that jacket!
I would love to see more workout examples, like the ones for the summer shape up!! Also looking forward to baby posts ๐
I would love to hear about your personal inner motivations and how you push through the days when you are ready to throw in the towel! Especially with a new one, I’m sure things will be getting a little more crazy!
Congrats on three years!!
congrats on the anniversary! i would love to see baby updates…along with that things like what you eat when you’re pregnant, how you workout, etc. i also love the workouts in general! keep those comin!
Gina, I love your blog so much. I am actually obsessed with it! I can’t wait to read about your life of balancing family(kid(s))/work/health/fun, because it’s tough, but you’re a champ and I will continue to grow with ya’. ๐ I should have stopped by to say THANK YOU well before your 3 year anni. Here’s to the next 3!
I would love to read more of your family posts! Also, it will be fun to see how your family evolves, as far as meals go, and the way you organize your time. I’ve already learned a lot from you in that area and it will be really helpful to see how it changes with the new addition! ๐
Congrats on your blogiversary! I am so glad I found your site! I love reading your fashion, food, and family tips! I am excited to see your journey to motherhood! Thanks for always inspiring us and being so real!
I love it when you post Q & A and tutorial videos so it would be awesome to see more of those.
Hi Gina! I love everything you post right now…food/fitness/fashion/family (4 F’s) are all my favorite things! Although I wouldn’t change anything you post now, I would like to read more about how you deal with change in your life..you’ve gone though many changes: moving, Pilot going away, new jobs, and now pregnancy, it seems like a lot for someone so young. I want to know more about how you combat or accept changes that come your way (positive or negative).
In the next year, I’d love to hear more about how your fitness plans change throughout your pregnancy and after too. Can’t wait to follow along! ๐
I’m a new reader and must admit that I’ve fallen in love! I’m an avid runner and have been dying to mix up my cardio routines with strength and weights. Your summer workout programs have been AWESOME! (And by awesome I mean that I totally can’t walk straight for like 2 days.)
I would love to see some alternatives to nut butters in your recipes as I am allergic to nuts. A tragedy I know. You do such a great job at thinking outside of the box and I tend to have difficulty coming up with substitutions (nutritionally, taste wise, texture, etc) on my own.
Also, more info on the lil munchkin in your belly as time goes on would be great as well!
Cheers to 3 years!
Happy Blogiversary! I would love to see more gluten-free posts and hear about how you adapt your recipes and deal with eating out!
Happy Blogiversary!! I think your blog is perfect right now…it’s definitely one of my favorites to read. I love the updates on your pregnancy…my husband and I just started trying to have a baby and I went and bought all of the books you listed the other day…they are really great! I can’t wait to hear more about you and the Pilot’s journey!
I LOVE when you post about your meals vs. The Pilots meals and how a few easy modifications and substitutions can suit any diet. Eating in/out with family and friends who eat red meat and gluten can be tough…you always seem to create innovative solutions to suit your body and health needs….and I LOVE your confidence in a balanced lifestyle! Can’t wait to see how your beauiful, little “Pilotessa” grows… Funny how your pregnancy is timed with that of another adorable Twilight couple ๐
I love your blog as is but would love to see more recipes! Your food combos inspire a lot of my own recipes all the time! ๐ Happy birthday, fitnessista.com!
I’d love to see more of the same — food, fitness, fun, and whatever else comes your way!
I’m really excited to read all about your growing family and glad that you and the Pilot are back together again!
Baby updates & photo tours!!! Otherwise, I think your blog is great as is!

On the blog for this next year I’d like to see more of of those workout moves of the week you used to do. They were so helpful! Congrats on the successful 3 year mark ๐
I’d like to see pics of your face when the PODS gets unpacked ๐ And you find all things I’m sure you even forgot you had ๐ This will also mean you’d be in your new house!!
Happy Blogiversary!!! I would love to see more recipes & dinner ideas for beginners just now entering the healthy living world…like me!
I would love to see more of what you have been doing. I continue to read daily because the blog has a good mix of food, fitness, fashion and fun! I am also loving the family updates since you announced your that you are pregnant.
