A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

Hi friends ๐Ÿ™‚ Howโ€™s your morning going? Hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day. <3

So the blog is 3 years old!!

roon

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโ€™t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events arenโ€™t what matter– itโ€™s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐Ÿ™‚ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโ€ฆ I just write it, youโ€™re the ones who show up for the party ๐Ÿ™‚

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโ€™s changed and evolved with me, and Iโ€™ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐Ÿ˜€

To go with the โ€œ3 yearsโ€ theme, there will be 3 different winners:

-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)

-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)

image image

(Iโ€™m OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)

-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ€ curling iron ($140)

image romper

(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโ€™s life-changing)

+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐Ÿ˜€

roons (3)

This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:

***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.

Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐Ÿ™‚

Love you guys,

Gina

Hi Gina! I am loving your baby posts, and would love to see more of that next year – especially how baby fits right in with your Fitnessista lifestyle! ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Kristina on June 14, 2011 at 4:02 pm

Happy 3years!. Your blog has shown me new was of eating and working out. Thanks for helping me get in better shape

  16. Jennifer N. on June 14, 2011 at 4:02 pm

What I’d like to see but probably would be impossible would be a Fitnessista meetup . I used to belong to an online fitness group (I can give you the name privately) which got together once a year and they had so much fun. They did a group workout and then went shopping and out to lunch. That’d be so cool if you did it too.

  17. Andrea on June 14, 2011 at 4:03 pm

I am a newcomer to your site and have really enjoyed it (it’s even more special that you are my first blog that I have followed)! I love all the recipes you have posted so keep those coming ๐Ÿ™‚ I am a single, working mother so I would really love to see some quick ways to work in some exercise either on fifteen minute breaks or at lunch. Oh! And any ideas for great workouts with kids in tow ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Melody on June 14, 2011 at 4:03 pm

What would I like to see next year? More of the same please! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…..although that macaroon recipe would be nice! I’d like to see that ๐Ÿ˜‰

  19. Lisa on June 14, 2011 at 4:04 pm

Happy 3 years!! I love the posts in your “family” section, keep them coming ๐Ÿ™‚ And more cooking videos or q&a videos with the pilot. The last one was so funny!

  24. christa on June 14, 2011 at 4:06 pm

I JUST found your blog like 2 days ago, but I assure you I spent a FEW hours last night going back and reading a ton! haha. (in the least stalkerish way possible, i promise) and I have to say that you are very generous with your meal/work out plans. Other “fit” web sites that I read charge you money for that! So, thanks for that! Im not sure what I could even request to see more of in the future because really I didn’t see that it was lacking anything. Probably just keep up the great info!

  25. andrenna on June 14, 2011 at 4:06 pm

happy birthday, bloggie! next year i’d like to see more on preventative and alternative medicine. i love those posts!

Gina, congrats on 3 years. You have accomplished amazing things in those 3 years…my blog is 2 years old. I started it when your blog was 1. I remember finding your blog and thinking, I want to do what she’s doing…you inspired me then, and continue to inspire me now.

I can’t wait to see how your life as a mother unfolds over the next year!!!

I wish you, your blog, the Pilot, your new baby..all the love and happiness in the world ๐Ÿ™‚ and you should be so proud of what you’ve built here with your blog!

    xoxo

Your adventurous and family-oriented spirit is what keeps me coming back to the blog. I enjoy reading the incredibly frank posts that pop up in between the food pictures and exercise routines. In the next year, I look forward to reading about your growth (no pun intended!) with the impending arrival of a little one. That little life will bring out the best and worst in you, and I know you will handle the transition with grace, humor, and complete honesty!

  39. Charissa on June 14, 2011 at 4:15 pm

I would like to see more vegan sources of protein and how someone who’s into fitness would stay vegan…love this giveaway. Fingers crossed!

  43. Katrijn on June 14, 2011 at 4:17 pm

It would be really cool to see how you maintain your fitness/diet through your pregnancy, and then how you lose it afterwards. I don’t think anyone who reads your blog doubts that you’ll be one fit mama!

  44. Samantha on June 14, 2011 at 4:17 pm

Happy blogiversary! I have read your blog almost every day for the last six months and I love it! And I’m loving all of the baby updates! I can’t relate yet since I am nowhere near having children, but I teared up catching up on all of your posts about the process so far. so sweet. Here’s my idea for a blog post… focus on: the shake weight. Someone gave me one as a joke for my birthday, but I’ve heard it actually works! Have you tried it out?

  45. Chantelle on June 14, 2011 at 4:17 pm

Congrats on the blogiversary!! I would love to see more videos of you and the pilot answering questions! It’s always fun to see and learn more about the person you follow every day ๐Ÿ™‚

  46. Christy on June 14, 2011 at 4:19 pm

Happy 3 yrs! I would like to see how to deal with pregnancy and work and being fit! thank you!

  47. Lauren @ Sassy Molassy on June 14, 2011 at 4:19 pm

Awesome! My blog turned 3 in May as well! Craaazy. One thing I’d love to hear from you is your journey on staying fit through your pregnancy and beyond. And your thoughts on how you decide when/how much to workout and why. For example, prior to pregnancy Gina seemed clearly 100% dedicated to serious workouts regularly. I’m just curious if/how that will shift as your little one becomes a priority. I know that it will. Anyway, I also love your fashion posts so seeing the pregnancy side of that will be fun.

  48. Jaime D. on June 14, 2011 at 4:19 pm

I am a daily reader of your blog and love it so much! Congrats on the exciting baby news!! Over the next year, I’d love to read more about your pregnancy, birth experience and having a baby in general. My husband and I plan on trying for our first little one soon and it so nice to hear first hand perspective from someone I can relate to. ๐Ÿ™‚

  49. AshleyCarole on June 14, 2011 at 4:19 pm

I would love to hear more about the different classes you teach and different workout techniques!

  50. Tulika on June 14, 2011 at 4:20 pm

Happy blogiversary!! I’d love to see more recipes on the blog…and I’m also a fan of the fashion posts ๐Ÿ™‚
