A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

Hi friends ๐Ÿ™‚ Howโ€™s your morning going? Hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day. <3

So the blog is 3 years old!!

roon

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didnโ€™t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events arenโ€™t what matter– itโ€™s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet ๐Ÿ™‚ You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it isโ€ฆ I just write it, youโ€™re the ones who show up for the party ๐Ÿ™‚

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. Itโ€™s changed and evolved with me, and Iโ€™ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot ๐Ÿ˜€

To go with the โ€œ3 yearsโ€ theme, there will be 3 different winners:

-1 commenter will receive my favorite lululemon jacket, the Define Jacket in a color/size of their choice ($99)

-1 Facebook fan will receive a pair of Toms shoes (size/color of choice) and a Nars Orgasm blush from Sephora ($100)

image image

(Iโ€™m OBSESSED with the new crochet ones!! And everyone needs this blush)

-1 Twitter friend will receive a iTools Style Winder 1โ€ curling iron ($140)

image romper

(I still owe ya a video on how to use it, because itโ€™s life-changing)

+ each winner will receive a dozen macaroons in a flavor of their choice ๐Ÿ˜€

roons (3)

This means you have 3 different ways to win 3 different prizes:

***This giveaway has ended as of 9:35 EST on June 15.

Thank you again for an incredible 3 years ๐Ÿ™‚

Love you guys,

Gina

I would love to see even more health-conscious recipes! I’m a huge foodie, but I like to make things with nutrition in mind, which is why I initially loved your blog. Amazeballs and bfast cookie dough cereal have become staples here, so I’d like to continue that trend!

  6. Kristen on June 14, 2011 at 5:42 pm

I’d love to see more healthy, quick recipes. Thank you!!

  7. Sigi on June 14, 2011 at 5:42 pm

  8. meghan on June 14, 2011 at 5:45 pm

  10. KBrady on June 14, 2011 at 5:45 pm

I’m LOVING your new family section and cannot wait for the updates as you progress through your pregnancy — and to meet the new little one! Plus, summer shape up has been great so far!

  11. meghan on June 14, 2011 at 5:47 pm

I’m super excited for more family posts in addition to the regular nutrition/fitness/fashion ones.

Wow, so many comments! Congrats on three years! I want to see all things baby and pregnancy! It’s nice to know what to do when things go out of whack! Even if it IS how God intended!

  13. meghan on June 14, 2011 at 5:48 pm

Um…I commented twice (this being the third time…) and I don’t know how to delete. I’m not a cheater, I swear.

Happy Blogiversary! I absolutely just love following your life. I love all of the baby news.

  15. Donna @ Love, Run & Travel on June 14, 2011 at 5:50 pm

Congrats on 3 years, thats awesome!!!
I would LOVE to see more baby posts and of course the ever adorable pup
Plus any dehydrator recipe is a welcome treat ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Marie-Sophie on June 14, 2011 at 5:51 pm

I am super excited to follow your pregnancy!! And I love that you’re still keeping up all those food posts despite the pregnancy gaggers ๐Ÿ˜‰ (I can only try to imagine how that feels but I am excited to be experiencing this hopefully not too far away in the future)

As I always need help doing some new workouts in my living room (too long working hours for a gym during the week), with just a mat and some weights – so some quick workouts for people with crazy working hours and minimal equipment would be great!

    Happy blogiversary, Gina!!!

  17. MarathonVal on June 14, 2011 at 5:52 pm

I would love to see how you maintain your fitness routine while pregnant! I don’t plan on having kids for a while but when that happens, my husband has this old fashioned idea that you have to stop exercising and that running is ‘bad for the baby’. Hopefully you can help me prove him wrong! ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Bryn on June 14, 2011 at 5:53 pm

I would love to see more about nutrition and your growing family… you guys are so cute!!!

  19. Jenny Viveros on June 14, 2011 at 5:54 pm

I would love to see more on nutrition and how how to become a certified trainer or the process of obtaining your certifications ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for all your knowledge and sharing!

  20. Erica on June 14, 2011 at 5:55 pm

I am so excited to see more about how you will balance your busy life (as a mom and blogger) and continuing to be healthy and fit. ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Melissa on June 14, 2011 at 5:55 pm

I’d love to see more workout playlists! they are so motivating!

  22. Alison on June 14, 2011 at 5:55 pm

I’d love to see reading recommendations! I’ve only read a couple fitness/nutrition books, and I have absolutely no real background in either. I trust your judgement, and need some good beach reading (after I’ve created that beach body, of course)!

  23. Candice on June 14, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Quick interval/circuit training workouts for those who don’t have much time to workout. Also would love to see some quick, easy healthy recipes for individuals on the run. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can you tell there’s a common theme here? LOL…feeling short on time since I had my baby. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Gina!

  24. Amber on June 14, 2011 at 5:58 pm

I’d love to see more information on how to stay fit while being pregnant and a follow up of getting back in shape after baby! I’ve enjoyed reading all of the family posts as well so keep those coming!

  25. Lauren on June 14, 2011 at 5:58 pm

Over the next year, Iโ€™d actually like to see what you end up feeding the baby! With such great health and fitness in mind, how do you think that will affect your mothering?

I would love to see advice on how to balance an active lifestyle with (a growing!) family. I’m a mother of a 2-year old, a wife & trying to get back into the serious running game.

Happy Blog Birthday! I want to see more fashion and yoga in the next year. I am also excited to read about your pregnancy journey. I know there are a lot of pregnant healthy living bloggers but it is interesting to read about each of your unique experiences especially since I am still unsure if a baby is something I want for myself.

  41. Elvira on June 14, 2011 at 6:09 pm

I love the blog as it is right now, and surprisingly I am enjoying the baby posts too! (never thought I would say that, I never read baby blogs but yours is different somehow…).
I also would like to see more dehydrator recipes, playlists, and fashion advice too.
