A very special blogiversary [giveaway]- ended

So the blog is 3 years old!!

The blog actually turned 3 last week, but with the Summer Shape Up and exciting news, I didn’t want to overload the week with too much going on.

For this post, I was originally planning on doing a list of events that have happened in the past 3 years, and then I realized:

1. A LOT of stuff has gone down and

2. the events aren’t what matter– it’s about the community, support, discussions and relationships that have been created in this tiny speck on the internet 🙂 You are 99.9% of the reason why this blog is what it is… I just write it, you’re the ones who show up for the party 🙂

This little blog began as an urge to share my love of health and a distraction from online shopping while I was bored in Valdosta – it has grown so much in the past 3 years. It’s changed and evolved with me, and I’ve had so much fun writing every word.

As a little thank you for changing my life, making this so rewarding and enjoyable, and just for being awesome, I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway. Giving is always better than receiving for special occasions, anyway 🙂 I picked a few of my absolute favorite things and this giveaway is sponsored by myself and the Pilot 😀

    In the next year, I woud love to see more Fitnessista-fied recipes.. or maybe even a cook book?;) Your blog has completely changed my eating habits and I would like to incorporate more vegetarian and raw food options into my diet. I love turning a classic meal into something nutritious and delicious (ie Butternut Squash Lasagna.. there is no pasta or ground beef but it is ah-mazing!!). I’ve never felt so satisfied by healthy choices and its never been so easy to maintain my ideal weight 🙂

    I only cook a few times a week and then eat the leftovers, so I’d love to see more casserole/make-ahead type recipes that freeze well!

    I’d love to see posts on how to balance an office job, eating smart, and staying active. I’m naturally a couch potato and need to force myself to get up and do something besides read!! Right now I’ve got the gym down… I go right after work without stopping at home and giving myself the chance to get comfy on the couch. What I need help with is getting those healthy meals in. I’m not creative enough!!

    Happy blogiversary! 🙂 Your blog has quickly become my favourite for several reasons – one of them being your hilarious Fitnessista-isms that I only read on your blog. Your posts always make me laugh and give me a nice break from work when I need it.

    I would love to see more *natural* pre-cardio snacks (e.g. things that won’t sit in your stomach during a run or other cardio-like activity….I’ve been having a heck of a time trying to figure out what I can eat before a morning run). The thought of Gu chomps or gels in the morning (or in general) really make me want to yak.
