Dear pregnant self
Laying on your stomach will feel just as great as you remember
smoked salmon will taste as good
as wine will be just as wonderful.. even though you’ll wait 3 weeks to drink a glass when the girls come over.
You think you’re crazy about your husband now
but you’ll fall in love –big time- all over again, in a different way, magnified exponentially.
Giving birth will be the hardest, scariest, most painful thing you’ll ever do
the first two week will be the most challenging you’ll experience
but seeing that little face.. the same face you dreamed about… and finding out her personality is so much like you thought it would be, from the kicks to the hiccups
make it more than worthwhile.
People weren’t lying when they said to sleep as much as you can
they also weren’t lying when they said every day gets better, and easier
and that the time seems to go by so quickly, so savor every single moment.
And as much as you love being pregnant, you’ll love being a mom 1000x more <3
so sweet that gave me goosebumps 🙂
ME TOO
my baby turned 1 last week (sob!!) so this seems a lifetime ago for me. absolutely love that last pic. awwww!
*wipes tear from eye* So TRUE! I love being a mom so much, it’s amazing how much has changed about me since I’ve become one. Today my brother and his wife had a baby and I was so deliriously happy, it was ridic. I love everything baby now haha!
I couldn’t agree more. (congrats by the way).
Now i’m teared up. <3
Ditto. All so true and SO beautiful 🙂
so sweet!! almost cried multiple times hah…ahh i cant wait!
Dumb question–but I’m pregnant and I have been eating smoked salmon…did your doctor tell you not to? It seems like you implied that you weren’t eating it while pregnant as mentioned above. Just curious!
yeah because of possible listeria i avoided it, but i think it’s fine if you heat it up first
Aww, I’m almost crying! That’s so sweet. I’ll remember that when I’m pregnant.
You guys are so cute!! 🙂
so nice to read this now! i’m due in 20 days and cannot wait!
I want to sleep on my stomach. And eat lox on a bagel. And can’t wait to see if it’s a boy or girl! But I can’t say I love being pregnant, and my time hasn’t been that bad at all.
As a mommy of 2 with a 3rd on the way, I could not agree more! Love this post!

1 million percent I echo everything in this post from falling in love with your spouse even more, to every day getting easier, to loving being a mom more than being pregnant a zillion-fold times more!
