Friday Faves

Hi hi friends! Happy Friday! What a weird week, right? I’ve felt this ominous energy all week and everything continues to feel more unsettling as events are canceled and things close down. Even though it feels weird and scary, I’m glad that we’re taking an effort to stop the spread of the disease and hopefully not overwhelm medical facilities.

We had a trip planned to Vegas this weekend and ended up canceling it. (YAY Southwest for refunding all of my points with two clicks on their website.) While it’s a bummer – and mama needed a getaway lol – we can always reschedule. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Vegas went dark, too. So we’re here at home and I’m looking forward to spending some time gardening, hanging outside with the kiddos, setting up the new patio furniture, and catching some home workouts. My dad and stepmom are still keeping the girls for a night so the Pilot and I can enjoy a date and sleep in!

Today’s post is usually Friday Faves, but with everything going on, I didn’t take a ton of pics! A couple of random ones from my phone:

My fave new cactus hat

Spin

Harley snuggled up next to me! (I babysat for Kyle and Meg the other night)

Harley mans

and all the food groups. 🙂

To change things up today, I thought I’d share some resources as we prepare to hunker down with the kiddos. Our schools here haven’t closed (yet) but I know many of my friends out there are going to be home from work and school for the coming weeks. (I anticipate that it will eventually be the case for us, too.)

Follow Busy Toddler for tons of inspiration for what to do with the kids. I ordered butcher paper, stickers, painting tape, and the supplies to make ocean sensory bins for the nuggets.

Giant list of ideas for being home with kids. (This was shared on a Facebook page but I’m not sure of the original source!) I’ll probably create some sort of daily schedule so we have a routine with learning time, recess, lunch, etc. all built in.

Education companies offering free subscriptions.

I ordered this jumping castle! It might be the only way I can work with the kiddos home. They can jump their brains out while I sit on the patio with my laptop and watch them.

Freezer meal ideas are here.

Since many of us will be working out at home, here are some resources!!

If you haven’t used your free trial from Les Mills On Demand, now is the perfect time. Use my link to get 21 days free! They have over 800 workouts on the platform and the instructors and music are amazing.

If you have any more resources you’re using for the rest of the month or tips, please share in the comments section so we can all help each other!
Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see ya back here on Monday.
