I love planks! And plank into downward dog/dolphins!

  2. Christin@purplebirdblog on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

    Down dog!!

  3. Cassidy @ takingmyplace on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

I’m not exactly sure the official name, but I call them ‘worms’. You lie on your back with your knees bent, and go back and forth touching your heels and holding your core tight. Sorry for the awful explanation.

  4. Gillian Young on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

I love squats!! And am already lovin on the Facebook page. Would LOVE to try your roons!!!

  5. Kindra C on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

Mmmmm…roons! My fingers are crossed :o) My favorite move is one I’ve been doing in boot camp lately…crossover mountain climbers!

  6. Katherine M. on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

My favorite moves are squats! Easy to do and I see results and get my heart pumping ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Christin@purplebirdblog on February 3, 2011 at 11:58 am

  9. Michelle @ Chasing Ambulances on February 3, 2011 at 11:59 am

I like pushups! They make me feel strong.

  10. Julie (A Case of the Runs) on February 3, 2011 at 11:59 am

Forward twisting lunges give legs and abs a workout!!

  11. Stephanie on February 3, 2011 at 11:59 am

That’s a tough one, but I think my fave are plie squats! Always sore the next day after doing these.

  12. Melissa G on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

omg I want to try the roons so badly!! Can I say my favorite “fitness move” is using paddles and a pull thing while swimming? I know it’s not the traditional fitness move you were looking for but it’s what I’ve been into lately and it burns your arms so bad… I mean good ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Kat on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Burpees are definitely one of my faves! also love planks & lunges ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Deirdre on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

I love lunges with weights. Hurts so good!

  15. Emily N on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Downwards facing dog is my all time favorite. The only movement required is transitioning in and out of the pose during your routine. But when done right, the pose offers amazing benefits in increasing flexibility of hamstrings, wrists, back, and arm. The best benefit of this pose is its ability to diagnose imbalances and points of tension in the body. I like to start and end my day with this pose to find out where I’m at physically and mentally.

  16. Stephanie on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

I already like you on fbook:)

  17. Laura on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

I’m a big fan of walking planks, they always make me feel like I’ve done work!!

  18. Megan on February 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

    I love push-ups!! I feel so strong when I do them. ๐Ÿ˜€

  19. Emily on February 3, 2011 at 12:01 pm

    kettlebell swings. mos def.

  20. Stephanie on February 3, 2011 at 12:01 pm

Would it be the absolute worst if I said my favorite fitness “move” was corpse pose? Ha!

  21. K on February 3, 2011 at 12:01 pm

I love me some good ol push ups! Nothing beats this classic move for me! If I do a couple sets of push ups every other day, for a few weeks, my arms look AWESOME! I love that you can do them ANYWHERE and they improve arms, core, and confidence ๐Ÿ˜‰

  22. Sarah S on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

mine is a crazy move that i kind of made up… called the “vogue with backward side lunge”. hold 10 lb dumbell parellel to the ground overhead with both hands. lunge backwards and to one side, while also bringing the dumbell next to your ear and perpendicular to the ground. come back up to standing and bring dumbell back overhead. repeat to other side for 1 rep. do 10 @ a time. it looks funny but hits lots of spots!

  23. Trish on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

My favorites are burpees & squats

  24. Lindsay Moyer on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

I guess I would say squats for the results!

  25. Megan on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

    I like you on Facebook!

  26. brittany on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

my favorite workout move is definitely lunges!! They are so hard but sooo effective!! i would be so excited to win some famous fitnessista macaroons!

  27. Heidi on February 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

    I’m a burpees girl too ๐Ÿ™‚

  28. Jennifer (take the day off) on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

Hands down, it’s the bicycle crunch. If i was stranded on a desert island and only allowed to do one fitness activity (interesting scenario, but go with it), this would be it. It works all angles of the abs and it hurts to good.

  29. Jen on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

One I saw on your site first and then physique 57- plank side dips! I love em

  30. Laurie on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

My fave move is deadlifts. I love working my glutes and hams and also making myself pay attention to every sec of the exercise.

  31. Erin H on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

I cannot believe your fav move is the burpee!!! Those are my absolute worst ๐Ÿ˜‰

My all time favorite move is the lunge. There are so many variations and you can do them anywhere (including while at my desk at work).

I’ve liked you on fb since the beginning ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. Carolyn C. on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

    Lunges are awesome!

  33. Ilana on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

    already a facebook fan ๐Ÿ™‚

  34. Michelle on February 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm

My favorite fitness move would be walking lunges . . . I can always “feel them” the next day. And anything that targets so many muscles in one functional move is always a plus!

  35. Nicci on February 3, 2011 at 12:04 pm

Can I say running? I also got really into yoga again this winter through the YogaX video, it took me from not being able to do downward dog or a plank to save my life to rocking out both of those poses for 90 minutes. I felt like a warrior. A sweaty warrior.

  36. Erica Rose on February 3, 2011 at 12:04 pm

I already like you on Facebook (have for ages!) and I like lunges. I have crappy upper body strength, but my legs are strong and awesome.

  37. Rika on February 3, 2011 at 12:04 pm

My favorite is the tricep dip! hurts so good!

  38. Megan @ Healthy Hoggin' on February 3, 2011 at 12:04 pm

I like the orthopedic “hip thrusts” we do on the floor during Physique 57– great for the glutes, hamstrings and lower back!

  39. Lauren Christine. on February 3, 2011 at 12:04 pm

a straight leg dead lift straight to an upright row with an EZ bar!

and i’m already a facebook fan!

  40. Michelle on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

All time favorite fitness move: is half pigeon considered a fitness move? it is the ultimate tight hip flexor relief :). But as for your more standard fitness move, squats (with weights) are the way to go – burn so good!

  41. Ryane on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

Haha, there’s something about doing sumo squats that make me giggle, especially the walking forward in a creepy way kind!

  42. Kat on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

    i love squats!

  43. Emily on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

My favorite fitness move is Side Plank!

  44. julie on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

Definitely burpees or planks! I like workouts to burn- makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something!

  45. Emily on February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

My favorite moves are my stretches at the END of the workout! ๐Ÿ™‚

  46. Julie Suh on February 3, 2011 at 12:06 pm

    I LOVE downward dog!

  47. Nicci on February 3, 2011 at 12:06 pm

My last post seems to have disappeared into internet limbo, so here it goes again…

Running! Or yoga poses…after tackling YogaX this winter, I dominated downward dog and plank, my two biggest yoga fears. I felt like a warrior. A sweaty warrior.

  48. Shelby on February 3, 2011 at 12:06 pm

I’m a fan of the plank. It seems still and tranquil… but then why am I sweating and shaking???

  49. Amanda (Eating Up) on February 3, 2011 at 12:06 pm

I love buttkicks! They really stretch my legs!

  50. Emily on February 3, 2011 at 12:06 pm

    I liked you on Fbook!
