It’s Roon Time, Baby

Hi friends ๐Ÿ™‚ How are you? Hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day so far <3

I started mine off with a product call and a BodyPump class with a friend. BodyPump is pretty much rocking my world, cheesy music and singing instructors aside ๐Ÿ™‚ I push myself way harder during BP than when I do weights on my own.

Post-workout snack:

They were a little on the burned side, but I covered it up with almond butter and a splash of prickly pear syrup from the farmerโ€™s market ๐Ÿ˜‰

This afternoon was filled with errands and to-dos, then I decided stinky Bella needed a date with the bathtub.

My madre bought these for Bellย  – Paul Mitchellโ€™s new line for pets.

    My goal for 2011 is to not hold back. Too often I bite my tongue afraid of what others might think/say, afraid of failing but at the same time afraid of succeeding. This day, this week, this month, and this year I am going to work actively, with purpose to improve this part of me.

    I started running (have never been a ‘runner’, more of a yoga gal) and I WILL run my first 10K on April 2nd at the end of my training plan.

    My goal is to shift some of the focus on my life away from fixing myself and move towards an emphasis on helping others. I think my time and talents can go a long way if I start devoting time to volunteering. Fitness and personal success are a part of being happy, but I think it’s important to remember that we are part of a larger community when setting goals for the coming year. So I plan to find and start up a volunteer position by the end of the month!

    I have never commented on your blog before, but I wanted to say that it is truly amazing and I enjoy it so much ๐Ÿ™‚ I have one non-fitness goal (apply and get into med school….ah, scary!) and one fitness-related goal (run the Cherry Blossom 10-miler injury free!).

    I work full time in community mental health (as a child and family therapist). I started a private practice last year on the side but put pretty much NO effort into it. This year, I want to have at least five clients by Spring 2011 AND do one eight week social skills group for kids/tweens with my friend and fellow therapist.

    I will get accepted to and successfully complete the Dental Assisting course here at Valdosta Tech. starting Fall 2011 and finishing Fall 2012. I will also start up my 5 day/week workout regimen and make it a habit by February that I let go down hill during the crazy military moving/deployment madness.

    My goal in 2011 is to get real, get healthy and stop *faking* it. So many times in my life, I’ve felt so healthy, brimming with joy and happiness, and then I just… stop. Because who am I to deserve that?

    Well, in 2011 my aim is to stop lying to myself. I deserve it. I have a workout plan in place, I’m eating wholesome, yummy foods, and I’m trying every day to be present, grateful, kind and compassionate.
