Savory Vitamix Recipes + a giveaway!

I’ve had a long-term love affair with my Vitamix. It was one of my very first exciting blog gifts, and I’ve used it almost every day since. I even ended up taking it with me on my honeymoon! (Maybe I should be embarrassed that I traveled with a giant blender, but nope. I own it.) I can confidently say it’s my favorite and most-often-used kitchen appliance.

Of course, when you think of Vitamix, what’s the first thing to come to mind?

Smoothies.

Wow. I had no idea the Vitamix could do so much. I’ve often wondered if I wouldn’t like smoothies more if they were blended better. I have a regular blender and honestly, the smoothies I have tried to make are just too, blah. I can either taste the stuff I don’t want to taste and/or it’s stringy (because of the “healthy” stuff I’ve thrown in!). Thanks for the recipes. I would try to make 2 things right away, a green, yummy, smoothie and a hot soup!

  18. Larissa on January 19, 2014 at 2:33 pm

I have been wanting a vitimix forever but hubby always tells me we already have too many gadgets for our small kitchen (it’s what I get for living in San Diego ha!) I would make hummus and almond butter, I’ve killed two food processors trying to make almond butter & almond milk so I’ve given up.

  19. Ann on January 19, 2014 at 2:51 pm
