Sugar buzz
I’m still sugar-buzzed from last night.
(GF ones in the middle, regular on the sides)
Of course, the ones we messed up were dubbed “eaters” 😉
Everyone came over here to decorate the sugar cookies that mom, nana and I made the other night. Before our friends came over, I rolled out the dough
(dough creeper)
cut them into snowman, tree, angel, gingerbread man and heart shapes, and baked away.
We ordered pizzas, beer and K cups were consumed (tea for me), and decorated the cookies with green, red and white icing.
My works of (non)art:
Bikini and monokini
Snowman and Christmas… ghost
The icing was kinda watery, but we made it work 😉
While we were decorating, madre made some bizcochuelos and baked them in the oven… and I caught Bellaboo begging her little heart out before I kicked her out of the kitchen.
Apparently she was feeling brave and sassy after her haircut…
The only grinches were Kyle and the Pilot- they came to decorate during basketball commercial breaks 😉
The last thing I wanted this morning was something sweet after all the sugar I ate last night- my sweet tooth is still waving the white flag. So since we’re out of eggs, I made some plain oats with almond flour mixed in for protein and texture:
Check out the protein content:
with tea:
The Pilot is off work today (!) so we’re off to a doc appt, last-minute elf errands and the gym 🙂
See ya later with a Family post <3
xoxo

Something to think:
“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”

Today’s workout jam: “What You Want” by Evanescence- love this for weightlifting or hill work
I am in a sugar coma too! so many sweets last night 🙂 Your family sounds so fun, enjoy your day off with the pilot!
Merry almost Christmas!! Love you friend 🙂
love you!
Wow I had no idea that almond flour was so protein-rich! I gotta start adding some myself to things! Thanks 🙂 x
Bella is TOO cute. How can you stand that cuteness staring at you all day? I’d be kissing her a lot! I’m sure you do.
yes, i love her so much- she is the funniest, cutest thing 🙂
I’ve never thought about putting almond flour in my oats, but I love to bake with it!! 🙂
I can’t believe you’re nine months pregnant and still hitting the gym! Inspirational Gina!!!
I was thinking the same thing when I skipped my workout this morning.
LOVE the stats for the almond flour! I just got some for baking, but now I want to check out the back and see, and maybe add it to my oats 🙂
i love your decorated cookies, especially the ones with the bikini and monokini! haha too cute! enjoy your day with the Pilot!
Bella is so cute. That’s all I have to say.;)
The cookies are adorable!! I am in a sugar coma as well, and it’s just going to get worse since I’ll be baking this afternoon. Dinner tonight is salads and a plate of vegetables…and I can’t wait!
love the Christmas cookies! My little bro (5 years old) and sis (12 years old) came to visit last weekend and we made cookies too! My little brother wanted to “do his own” <–fun phase — any who, he made dough into a pile and called it a "pile of reindeer poo" and asked if he could stick it outside to try to fool the neighbors!! 🙂 haha – after we said no way – he changed his mind and the pile of poo became a ship instead 🙂 Kids are awesome.
never would have thought to add almond flour to oatmeal — great idea!
where did you get that adorable snowman mug?
The cookies and your snowman mug are so cute Gina! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! 🙂
Love the Mother Teresa quote. She is an amazing woman. So glad you had such a fun night!
Love your snowman mug! I definitely think that things taste better when they come out of a Christmas mug!
I noticed you always call your mom madre. ¿Hablas español?
The cookies look awesome. And I think that sugar comas are highly under-rated. Tis the season for them…enjoy 🙂
And that mug is adorable, too!
Merry Xmas to you and your family, Gina!
Oh my gosh, I love the beachy gingerbread cookies-adorable.
I never thought to put almond flour in breakfast oats, sounds like something I need to try!!
Merry Christmas Gina! Enjoy every minute of this one, next year will be COMPLETELY different for you with an 11 month old-HOW FUN!!!
I love the beach clad gingerbread people! 😀
I was decorating some last night but one’s arm snapped off, so I made it an icing “sling” haha.
Much love to the Christmas Ghost!! <3 you are so adorable.
