Baby #2 is a….
GIRL!

Looks like from the poll, many of you had a feeling. 59% guessed correctly!
For our first genetic ultrasound test, the tech sound pretty sure that it was a girl, but after our last time (you know when they told us Liv was a boy haha), we wanted to wait until the 18-20 week ultrasound to spread the word.
Of course, our number one concern is a healthy, happy baby. It’s comforting to know that things are progressing normally so far, and we hope that continues to be the case.
I really didn’t have a preference as far as boys and girls go. I’ve always wanted a daughter at some point, and now that I’ve seen how amazing and magical (and ok, a little intense haha) it can be, I knew I would be beyond thrilled with another one, but just as excited to change things up and have a little guy in the house. In my dreams, we’ve always had two girls: two daughters with dark hair, one a few years older than the other. It’s kind of mind-blowing that it’s how it turned out, and somehow my subconscious seemed to know years ago.
I grew up surrounded by brothers, and while my brothers are my closest friends, I always thought it would be fun to have a sister. I’m excited that both of our girls will get to experience that. Also, I think Tom is meant to be surrounded by girls who adore him.
In the meantime, I’ll be taking Liv’s baby clothes out from storage to wash and upping our intake of frilly girl clothes and headbands. 😉

Congratulations on the baby girl, Gina! It’s crazy your dreams have actually been fulfilled in real life. Ah, I hope you continue to have positive dreams while you are sleeping! I don’t have a sister, but I have often wondered what it would be life. I think your sweet Liv will make an excellent older sis to the new one arriving soon. 🙂

Congratulations! So happy for you and your family. I have an older sister and younger brother and love it…. I don’t know what I would do without either of them, however I’m sure my brother could have done with out 3 ‘moms’ at once lol. Just having a sibling is the best gift ever, regardless of the gender.

Congratulations Gina! That’s wonderful news! I have 3 boys and I find it amazing how God gives us exactly what we desire! Or need, lol! Exciting times are sure to come! Embrace it all, it flies by sooo fast! People would always tell me to enjoy those times ( teething, tantrums etc) and I would respond ” yeah, it’s hard now though with these little ones” but gosh were they right! My boys are 16, 13 and 12 !!!! And it really does feel like yesterday they were babies! Congratulations on this new season of life! God bless you and your family

A healthy baby girl on the way – congratulations! I remember your dreams of your husband cooking you breakfast with the two little girls… you are a very intuitive lady! I have a girl (same age as Livi) and an 8-month-old boy who I love so much my heart could burst, but part of me thinks maybe I should go round 3 to get another girl. As an only child, I’ve always dreamed of having a sister too. How magical for your family! Thrilled for you and honoured to be following your journey again xx

Very exciting! I am just a bit further along than you, and having a boy. I was actually really convinced I was having a girl. I have already dreamed of having several daughters, and just *knew* it was a girl after I got pregnant. I really didn’t even consider it being a boy! My husband made me choose a boy name before we found out the sex so I wouldn’t be disappointed if it was a boy– and a I really wasn’t at all. I just dove right in to planning his nautical nursery and buying everything from Carters and Oshkosh with a sailboat or a pirate on it. And that was a lot of clothes 🙂 Excited to meet this little boy.. in 12 weeks! Wow.
