2015 Holiday Gift Guide: for him

Hi friends! Hope youโ€™re having a wonderful day. ๐Ÿ™‚ Iโ€™m so glad youโ€™re excited about the Favorite Things giveaways. We have another one coming tomorrow!

This afternoon, I thought we could get into the annual holiday gift guides. I always love getting ideas and inspiration from guides floating around the blogisphere, and each year, itโ€™s fun to share some ideas here on the blog. This year, weโ€™ll have gift guides for your fitness friends, BFFs, kiddos, and under $30.

I thought Iโ€™d start the party with some of the notoriously difficult people the shop for: the guys! I always have a hard time finding things for the Pilot and my dad. (My brothers make it a breeze and text me links to what theyโ€™d like haha.) Here are some of the things that caught my eye, and some ideas for the any men youโ€™ll be shopping for this holiday season.

2015 gift guide for men

1) Trunk club: this is basically like Stitch Fix for men! He can have the opportunity to try out new clothes picked out just for him by a personal stylist, keep what he likes and send back the rest.

2) Whiskey Wedge : a unique way to chill whiskey without watering it down.

3) Bottle breacher: these were seen on Shark Tank and are beer bottle openers crafted from 50 caliber bullets. The company was founded by a military veteran and theyโ€™re all handmade by Active Duty and veterans. They make awesome groomsmen gifts, too.

4) Converse: the classic never dies.

5) Star Wars: The Complete Saga : with all of the Star Wars mania going on, you can get him the complete set and enjoy a movie marathon together. Can you believe Iโ€™ve never seen Star Wars? *monkey covering eyes emoji*

6) A watch or Fitbit Flex: the Pilot has a Fitbit and loves it, and itโ€™s also a fun way to get a little friendly competition going with steps.

7) Halo 5 or Fallout 4 for Xbox One. Perfect for any video game fanatic.

8) lululemon gym bag: the gym bags at lululemon are functional and stylish without being over the top.

9) Workout attire: the Pilotโ€™s faves are these shirts and these shorts.

10) North Face jacket.

More ideas:

Omaha steaks or Blue Apron. These are great ideas for those who like to cook and might enjoy trying something new. Omaha Steaks has become a go-to gift for the men in our family.

A BBQ spatula with his favorite sports team

Headphones! The Pilot and I each have a pair of these. <โ€” $50 off!

Do you have a hard time shopping for guys? What are you gifting your dad or hubby this year?
xoxo

I like that whiskey wedge! It’s a pretty unique gift. In a way, I’m lucky because my fiancee is a comic book/video game nerd and as a result is very easy to buy for. He always has a wish list of collectibles going!

My husband is a total car guy (me too!). So usually I end up buying him a tool (or toolbox) that I know he will use. Other than that I am clueless. I’ve used them too, so they come in handy for everyone ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love that whisky wedge! My husband isn’t too bad, but we’re going light on gifts this year. We’re trying to focus on our new little one and saving to build our own house.

I’ve never seen Star Wars either! So you are not alone ๐Ÿ™‚

THAT whiskey wedge…..I neeeeed this. Cool, thanks for that. I have a couple of sets of those silicone ice cube trays that make mega huge cubes and spheres for sloooow melting ice for whiskey. The wedge seems even cooler. That’s a gift idea for me, so thanks. Cheers. ๐Ÿ˜‰
We got the pro sized tablet handles for folks who have evvvvvvvvvvverything or need nothing and are uber hard to shop for, on our list this year. Male or female, you know those types, I’m all “oh you got an iPadPro…already…so…socks?” haha Not this year, saved the socks for me, wool ones for my always frosty toes and GripzillaPros for every one else.
Now I’m off to Amazon drooling over whiskey wedges…

My Dad is the hardest to shop for! Usually I end up getting him some spice mixes for grilling – last year it was a subscription to RawSpiceBar

I loved the idea of Trunk Club for my husband but they kept wanting to chat with him and he was so annoyed by that! They basically just need to let the wives take over until the clothes arrive and leave the men out of it except for deciding. haha!

The bottle breacher is such a cool gift! I actually got it for my boyfriend last year because I saw your post about it. He’s in the army so it was perfect! He loves it! You always have great gift ideas! ๐Ÿ™‚

Just ordered my husband a bottle breacher! He’s a Veteran and will absolutely LOVE this in his stocking, thank you!

    Nice round-up!

I pretty much get everyone home-preserved items, maybe with a bottle of wine or a book I think the person will like ๐Ÿ™‚

Mr. Science and I don’t do gift-giving with each other—I’m sure eventually we’ll start giving gifts to each other during the holidays, but for the time being we prefer to go out for dinner or something similar as an experience rather than give gifts. It put a lot less pressure on the holiday season!

Just ordered a bottle breacher for my stepson who is 21 & obsessed w/ the military. I needed ideas for him. Thx so much! He will love this!

You just reminded me that my brother loves Vans! I’m gonna see if there are any in stock that suit his style. Thank you for the light bulb moment you triggered!

wow, this is so spot on!! amazing.

truth be told, I wasn’t actually sure about several of the items you listed. I was a bit skeptical, thinking maybe you missed the mark on this one ๐Ÿ™‚ but my husband was reading over my shoulder and with each link I clicked he kept saying – “whoa, that’s so neat. what is that? how did you find that? I want one.” I told him it was the Fitnessista holiday gift idea post! we’ve now ordered several of these items for siblings, parents, uncles, grandpa.

I think you might have a new regular blog reader in my husband! he was impressed.

    THANKS!

The nice thing about Converse is they’re also really great for weightlifting shoes! So if your guy is into that… yea… just saying ๐Ÿ˜‰
