Girls Night and Eye Candy
Hi guys! Happy Indian Food Wednesday! Whoโs celebrating??? Weโre heading to Atlanta later today but Iโm going to see if the pilot wants to stop and get Indian to munch on the road ๐
Last night, the pilot was working late (again) so I met up with the girls for dinner and drinks at Two Friends. Having a girls night was way more fun that making an omelet and chilling at home ๐
I had a glass of Riesling the size of my face,
and ordered the Ahi Tuna with asparagus for my entree.
We were in the mood for dessert, so we each ordered a dessert and shared ๐
I rolled with the tiramisu
and also had bites of the bread pudding (which is foodgasmic) and chocolate mascarpone cheesecake.
We closed the place down! It was lovely ๐
Hereโs the plan for today:
-Weights
-Pack (I made a list but just need to get everything together)
-TurboFire (45 EZ today)
-Drop off the puppers
-Beg Best Buy for my computer (they quoted me two weeks and have had it for 17 daysโฆ.)
-Get on the road!
See ya this afternoon <3

Indian Food Eye Candy:
In the spirit of Indian Food Wednesday, hereโs some eye candy to start your day:
Mimi enjoyed some Navratan Korma with naan
Jill rocked the buffet
Errign enjoyed mango lassi, boti kebab masala, naan, and some unpictured vegetable pakora
Lana posted an easy channa masala recipe
and Michelle made her family homemade naan and saffron rice, with Trader Joeโs Dal Makhami
I freakin’ love tiramisu. It is my most favorite dessert! That slice looks heavenly.
I hope you get your computer back!
ME TOO!
I have never tried tiramisu, but it looks really good.
Ahhhhhhhhh all the Indian Food is making me hungry!!!!! Yummy! I hope you and the pilot get your indian food in tonight before heading off to Atlanta!
I feel your stress on the computer, my fiance had his computer at Best Buy to be fixed as well, they told him 2 weeks and then it turned into a month, and then after almost two months, I kid you not, he calls and they tell him, Oh it cant be fixed, so they replaced it with a new computer, was nice they gave him a new laptop, BUT he didnt get his old laptop back and he had things on there he wanted and a cd in his laptop he forgot to take out of his cd drive too, so it was not a good experience, Best Buy really really stinks with their cusomer service!!!!!!
I hope you get yours back !
Thanks Gina. Now I’m drooling ๐
you are welcome ๐
Michelle’s homemade naan is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Wow. Good luck with Best Buy — I’ve never had any problems with them and their customer service is usually stellar, so I hope it all works out today. I’m sure they are taking good care of Pinkie and getting her all fixed up.
I think it is the unwritten rule that you have to get dessert on a girls night dinner!
they just called- pinkie is fixed and ready to be picked up!! wahoo!!!!!
Woohoo!
Tiramasu is the best! I have never eaten Indian food, but your blog has made me extremely curious. What do you think would be a good Indian dish for a first timer?
here ya go! ๐ http://fitnessista.com/2010/07/readers-request-indian-food-newbies/
Thank you! I’m gonna go check that post out right now ๐
oooh, such a tease with that eye candy! lol I’ve been craving Indian food for DAYS now. Oy.
Have fun on your trip today! So exciting ๐
woahhhh i still have YET to jump on the indian band wagon. although i did make thai coconut curry the other night (recipe on my blog). does that count?? hahah
tiramisu? yes please!!!
Mmm, that tiramisu looks divine…
have a fun trip! ๐
Mmmm, tiramisu is great! Unfortunately, the bakery that made my absolute favorite one of ALL TIME closed down, and I have yet to find a replacement that lives up to the old one.
That tiramisu is a beauty! I’ve never seen it made in that fashion. Please send me your leftovers asap ๐
leftovers?? what’s that??
OMG, that naan looks divine! Breads are my weakness, especially ones that look as doughy as that one! ๐
How are you liking Turbo Fire, btw? I had a chance to sample it before it came out, but haven’t yet decided if I want to order it. Would love to get your thoughts!
i’ve done a few posts about it, but i absolutely love it. so much fun and perfectly challenging ๐
Love Indian food Wednesday! Tiramisu = amazing – one of the best desserts ever!
I’m oogling over that tiramisu too. Yum! Yay for getting your computer back!
Such an amazing girls’night dinner!! Tiramisu is such a great choice ๐ Good luck getting your computer back- if it’s still not ready, you should ask for a discount!
Eh, tiramisu just doesn’t do it for me. But bread pudding? There’s not even a photo and I’m drooling.
i should have taken one… it was perfect and the buttery bourbon sauce was ridiculous
That tiramisu looks so good! And so does the indian food!
Also, I have 8 giveaways going on on my blog right now if anyone wants to check em out!
Did you ever make any fake tiramisu while on South Beach? I distinctly remember loving a recipe with mascarpone, vanilla, and some chocolate chips!
no! i have never heard of that recipe but it sounds awesome ๐ i used to have the chocolate ricotta pudding every night though (ricotta, cocoa powder and splenda)
Best Buy quoted me 10 days and they had it for 15 or 16! At least I was out of town while they had it…or I would have been calling every day! ๐
mmmmm!! Happy Indian food Wednesday!! I hope you get your indian food fix with the pilot later today ๐
I still don’t know how I feel about the Indian food, but it looks lovely at the very least ๐
Have fun in Orlando!
I must re-stock my Indian food! After looking at your pics, I’m going through naan withdrawls
I love tiramisu! And bread pudding is one of my favorites!! I had a “banana bread” bread pudding a couple weeks ago, and it was maybe the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life!
I love Indian Food, but my husband and I can only eat it about once a month– it does a number on our stomachs! It’s so tasty, though, it’s kinda worth it. ๐
Have a fun trip to Atlanta!!
Have a safe trip!!! I hope you find a way to get your Indian food Wed in.
Gina-did I miss it? did you end up watching “princess bride”? Did you like it?
yes, i did watch it! LOVED it. ๐
Mmm…tiramisu makes me swoon. That reminds me, I should have the manfriend take me out to get some real soon. ๐
haha, you’re making me crave indian food at 9am! I celebrated yesterday myself… ๐
I hope you’re happy: I just came back from Indian food with a co-worker and declared our own Indian Food Wednesdays. Indian food babies for all!
whoo hoo!!!
Have a great time in Atlanta..I’ll be there today too but only in the airport ๐
Good luck with the computer…best buy had ours for FOUR months before it was actually fixed (had it like 3-4 weeks at a time, got it back, wouldnt even turn on etc..VERY frustrating!!)
This post made me hungry for lunch! It’s 12:42 here in Dallas – perfect timing! I’m so excited for Indian Food Extravaganza Saturday night of HLS!
me too!!
Oh girl I hope you have a faboooosh time in Hot ATL. Back in the day when Scott and I lived in NC and SC (Myrtle Beach) we’d go to Atl b/c it was alot more hoppin’ and wonderful than Myrtle Bch and I can tell you some stories about Phipps Plaza and Peachtree everything ๐ God I burned up some money there! And drank and partied my arse off all over town…fun memories ๐ Hope you have a stellar time!
I really want to try Indian food, but I’m semi-intimidated by it! I have no idea what I would order or what is healthy/unhealthy?!?!
check out this post for tips on what to order ๐ http://fitnessista.com/2010/07/readers-request-indian-food-newbies/
i want to see HHA just to see how different it is from insanity! The eyecandy never hurts either ๐
holy tiramisu!! thats hugeee and so light and delicious looking ๐
That tiramisu looks delectable! Girl, you were busy today! Have a safe trip and live it up in the A-T-L! ๐
Wooooooooow! That Tiramisu looks absolutely massive..and delicious too;-)
Has it really been a whole week since Indian Wednesday! Time is flying! xx
How are you liking the turbo fire? Is it worth getting? I take turbo kickboxing classes at the gym and it would be nice to have a video for at home, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be intense enough?
it’s definitely intense- i LOVE it ๐
Ohh my gosh, your eats look DIVINE. I love Indian Wednesday! I rarely eat it, but there are so many good places in NYCโI need some spice in my life these days!
oh man i could really go for some Naan, i love that stuff
You poor thing! I could never be separated from my laptop for so long! We’re not good with the whole long distance relationship thing. ๐
Have a good drive to Atlanta!
Oh my….all that deliciousness!!!! Homemade Naan???? YUM
