Fall 2020 Capsule Wardrobe
Sharing my ideas for a fall 2020 capsule wardrobe; classic pieces you can wear the entire season and mix and match!ย
Hi friends! I hope youโre enjoying the morning so far. Iโve got a doctorโs appointment this am and am looking forward to heading to the pool with the kiddos once Liv finishes her online classes for the day. Itโs been 100 degrees lately, and while it isnโt ideal pumpkin patch weather, weโre still living up the opportunity to swim while we can!
For todayโs post, letโs chat about fashion-y things! Remember when I did the capsule wardrobe? I went full Marie Kondo on my closet and got rid of everything except the necessities and items I truly loved and wore. It suited me for quite a while and then I was like, โI love shopping too muchโ and went to the entire other side of the spectrum. Itโs like when you tell yourself you canโt have brownies and then eat a whole pan. Moderation works best for me. ๐
With the current world situation, Iโve found myself navigating back towards a capsule-isn type wardrobe. If anything, itโs been more about habit, simplicity and decision fatigue. I feel worn down by all of the decisions and stress from the past handful of months and itโs so much easier to not really think about what Iโm going to wear. I have the staples I love that make me feel good, so I rotate through the faves.
I thought Iโd share some of my go-tos + and ideas for mixing and matching the outfits. As always, I love when you share your faves, so please shout out any pieces youโre loving for fall in the comments below! (Items I personally own are notated with an asterisk * – if the exact style or brand wasnโt available, I linked to something very similar)

How do you incorporate Trunk Club into your capsule wardrobe?
Iโve been asking for more staple type pieces and they send exactly when Iโm looking for
Love the idea of relying on classic pieces/staples that will last over the years. As Iโm pregnant and living in leggings, Iโm currently into longer sweaters and shirts with some butt coverage. I do remain completely baffled by the ridiculously expensive beat-up sneaker look, but what do I know? ๐
i felt the same way for a long time! they’re worth the hype haha
congrats on your pregnancy! <3
This is not a capsule wardrobe, this is a regular fall trend wardrobe. Which there is nothing wrong with, just identify it as such. Also, do you really believe expensive monthly clothing shipments and $500 converse style shoes are relatable to your average reader?
thank you so much for the feedback. =i always include a range of prices in the pieces i share here on the blog
